    Kyle, two things: 1, I'm surprised that you don't have more subscribers, considering how well you deliver your knowledge. You do a great job of teaching us things, step by step. I'm gonna start sharing your videos on my fb page, to perhaps reach more people, and hopefully gain you more new subscribers. 2, Here's the only thing I'm still confused about: If you choose the best (cheapest) method of shipping when you get an order for an item, how did you know how much to put as the shipping cost when you listed the item for sale?

      Well I appreciate that. RUclips subscribers can be hard to obtain. But as long as I provide valuable information to some that works. When listing your item you can pre select, first class, flat rate envelope and so forth. If you know the weight is say 8 ounces I usually charge the buyer the 12 ounce rate because ebay does take a "percentage fee" on your shipping. Meaning you don't receive all the money the buyer pays, ebay take a little portion. Hope that helps.

      @@pineywoodspicker Yes, that does help, a lot! Thx again, Kyle. And as I said, I'll do what I can to help spread the word about your channel.

      That's great to hear. I made the video because when I first started ebay shipping was by far the most complicated part. Thanks for watching and God bless. Good luck on ebay

      You are correct. They update / raise shipping rates every year. I will do an updated video when the new rates are announced. Thanks for watching

      Thanks for watching. At an attempt to stay some what personal I have not directly listed it anywhere but with a little Sherlock Holmes you could probably find it pretty easy.

    Thank u great video!! I can’t find an 11x 9 poly mailer do you know if that’s the largest size for first class? Thank you!!!

    • @pineywoodspicker
      @pineywoodspicker  Год назад +1

      I believe the max size for first class is 24 inches but the main thing the postal cares about with first class is it has to weigh 1 pound or less. Also, my mistake I think the mailers I use are 15x10. I get them on amazon.

    Hi! I watched a lot of videos on eBay shipping and after watching yours it finally clicked!!! Thanks for that!
    I have a question tho, when you added the weight, I noticed you didn’t change the dimensions to match the poly mailer bag you used (9x11), should we skip this part or when would we need to add these dimensions?

    • @pineywoodspicker
      @pineywoodspicker  Год назад

      Glad it helped. If I were you and just starting I would use exact dimensions until you understand what's going on. I've been doing this so long I know that it's all based on "cubic volume." For example a 5x5x5 box will be the same price as a 7x7x7 box. It only changes once you hit a certain volume and certain weights. But for a beginner I would just use exact dimensions if you can. Good question and thanks for watching. Don't forget to subscribe if you like ebay content. God bless.

    What about ground advantage?

    • @pineywoodspicker
      @pineywoodspicker  6 месяцев назад +1

      This is an older video. It was made when ground advantage was not a "thing." USPS changes their shipping annually and will again for 2024. Here is my latest video (2023) that covers ground advantage. ruclips.net/video/qsOmx1BK06U/видео.htmlsi=KzR3fuGyw09YGipc

    is there a 2024 update?

    • @pineywoodspicker
      @pineywoodspicker  29 дней назад

      First class is now ground advantage. Use ground advantage unless one of the flat rate is cheaper. Not likely. I use ground advantage 99% of the time now. Thanks and hope that helps
