For us Aussies, a wonderful memory of our holiday ride to Durango and return way back in 2000. Awesome scenery and fabulous trains. Will never forget! Thanks for sharing this fabulous footage.
I lived in Albuquerque for about 7 years in the 1980's, and never knew this sonic railroad even existed! It was before the internet. I would have LOVED to have seen and ridden on it. Damn it!
I lived in Durango for about 9 months back in '87 working on a house, right after the potato truck incident. It was on Park Ave and the back over looked the bridge across the Animas, got to see the train several times a day. Spent time hiking the area and I've even managed to ride it a few times. I guess it's good that they've switched to oil but there's was something about that coal grit in your teeth to let you know where you'd been.
Wow, never seen oil burn that black. Awesome 👍👍
Great photography and sound. Thanks 🙏
Fantastic 👍
