thanks for sharing this!! even though i vastly prefer the final version (the cheery, goofy way he writes makes SUCH a good creepy contrast to the things he says) i think there's some level of accurateness to his character still. the epilogue shows he can be extremely eloquent given the chance, so i'd like to think this poetic style is the way his brain thinks!
i keep coming back to this video for some reason. i like to think the reason this version of dr habit was ultimately scrapped is because it establishes him as a Big Bad Evil Guy almost a little _too_ well. it’s who he wishes he was, at least on some level (an unknowable, unflappable, untouchable cartoon villain) rather than who he actually is (an attention-seeking, emotional, insecure man who is both a product and perpetrator of much more mundane evils) ...or maybe i’m just bein a goober by reading this deeply into the very first game of some random dev team, but what is the internet for if not to make yourself feel smart?
i feel like these psa's wouldve made him feel more like the antagonist, but also wouldve made you feel like you would have no choice but to do the bad ending

Honestly, this Dr. Habit is very very intriguing and I enjoy him a lot! Although, I prefer the Dr. Habit he is today, this concept of him is still entertaining and suiting of someone who has a melancholy and mixed morality, in a different way. I probably wouldn’t mind if Dr. Habit had ended up to be this way, as it still suits his background and goal!
I feel like this doesnt represent the just innocent but mentally ill and confused dr habit we know (i say mentally ill cuz i think that hes “stuck” with the mind of a kid due to the bullying and abuse) and this version of dr habit would probably just be some weird random guy who likes to torture people
Honestly, while I prefer the finished version of Habit, I think it would have been cool if he started off like THIS, but as his state Deteriorated, he slowly became more and more the Habit we know and love
man this is so good i think i would have actually shit bricks when it came to the final day tho if he kept this rancid vibe up in the final version of the game
