The new characters' trees are very strong and stolen, Wendy is extremely strong and with a lot of damage, she can even carry statues quickly, making Wolfgang useless, will they give Wolfgang another rework? Wendy is more useful than him in every way
I think there might be a teensy-tiny language barrier here, Shynaid, so I'm not entirely sure what you're getting at because Wendy is most certainly not stronger or faster than Wolfgang at the same tasks. Wolfgang is still by far the best at both the things you mentioned.

REAAAALLY like giving wendy/friends the ability to drink the tonics. It's a very very good step in the right direction for making Wendy herself interesting rather than an abigail-bot.
As someone who mainly plays Wendy, I'm ok with the changes to lunar Abi. She didn't need an increase in DPS *AND* survivability. Now you've got to choose between either damage increase or survivability, so it'll be more up to play style and tactics for bossfights.
Wow being able to drink elixirs is actually exiting since Vigor Mortis serves for nothing when it's about Abby but for us would be a game changer.... if it worked. The grave is exiting too! ...but I kinda play on the endless mode already... The butterfly skill seems to complement her shadow abi skill but I still think you should activate shadow abi through different means. (Using the nightlight or giving Abi nightmare fuel for example.)

unpopular opinion don't read if easily offended all long range weapons and projectiles should not stunlock enemies because enemies that don't have ranged attacks are just boring to fight with the slingshot and blow darts/electric darts already deal massive damage so they don't need to stun lock
Counter "argument" for the sake of conversation really; All combat in this game is boring, ranged or otherwise. "Stand and deliver" applies to both more often than not which speaks a lot of how many things have been being implemented of late.
Combat in general is boring. Melee and Ranged are "stand in place attacking until enemies get too close, then you kite a swing and resume holding F" If the weapon skills from Forge were implemented in some way then that would certainly spice things up. But it seems Klei can't seem to even input numbers correctly without resulting in bugs lol.
DST needs a combat overhaul tbh. They keep adding new weapons, bosses and etc. But the combat sucks! They did make new bosses have unique attacks and such, but I think that's not enough
Walter DMG is good yes, but without the stun he will be dead body in seconds, also pretty much the hard ones meant to be hard alreay have stunlock protections in some point
It seems like theyre trying to make wendy's shadow side be the no-brainer choice. Theyve even shadow buffed it (hehe, get it, shadow buff, cuz its the shadow tree. Im sorry ill stop) by letting wendy craft live butterflies, meaning you wont need a bug net to use the shadow side ability
It is strange that they choose butterflies as the gateway to bringing a mob back to life only to kill it again for temporary Shadow Skill buffs but... I suppose it could work?! 🤔
@TheBeard777 i think the only reason they made it be butterflies is because you get flowers by planting butterflies, and wendy is kinda the flower girl. It's a bit of a stretch but I think if they were to make a creature that wendy could bring back to life, flowers make the most sense
i really REALLY wish Lunar Abby had a perk that provided her with a bigger circle of illumination to basically let Wendy be a nighttime explorer! It would have been a super cool idea that Wendy is so comfortable with the dark and creepy that as long as her sister is around, she doesn't need torches or campfires. It could even inflict cold status because ghosts are chilly ("cold spots") and make her a liability in winter and an asset in summer!!!!!

Ah yes, the question of balance that has plagued them for a while only to be perpetuated by a poor implementation of Skilltrees. Spawned from the poor planning of this Arc of content which now sends us into a perpetual loop of poorly developed "Power Creep" that satisfies no one and everyone at the same time. Hence rendering Klei's ineptitude to be on full display for more and more people nowadays after they've have apologists for ages. In short, Klei has no idea what they're doing anymore and are throwing things at the wall to see what sticks only to ignore the poorly stuck ideas slowly falling to the floor.

I would rather it all be about Abigail than buffing herself. As a Wendy main I’m not the best player. I use her to do the stuff I’m bad at. I can survive but fighting things I’m just bad. I like the idea of using her for that. Not buffing myself
Don’t get me wrong. I’m happy my main Wendy is getting a skill tree, but her skill tree just doesn’t look that good at the current state. It is 500 damage for a one target attack isn’t that great especially the way it was originally as we didn’t have vex, so Wendy would be doing the same amount of damage if Abigail out which would allow us to use Abigail as our damage dealer while we focus on healing and buffing Abigail
I really dislike how Wendy's Skilltree is essentially just Abigail's Skilltree. She needs one branch dedicated to Abigail with minimal power creep as to not blow the top off these girl's strengths, one to Wendy and her elixir stuff, and the "neutral" branch to ghosts.
Personally I would’ve wanted to see the skill tree to be split half of it more or less half of it focusing on either Wendy’s ability to buff or heal Abigail and the other half being utility for Wendy personally, I just feel like Abigail isn’t good against bosses, even with the changes the original lunar Abigail wasn’t even that good yeah she dealt 400 or 500 damage but Wendy suffered from that as she was only dealing .75% of the damage she normally would with normal Abigail, which I do like as then windy. You could focus on healing Abigail while Abigail deals a bit more damage. I would also love to see a reversal of that where Abigail focuses on healing or providing protection while windy deals more damage although I guess we do have that now that I’m thinking about it with the dark pedal dress, Jesus, I didn’t realize how long this was. I’m sorry about that.
I mean, can really talk about "Abigail Skilltree" when Walter does not have any of anything about him OR even about other thing than his Slingshoot and Woby?
the main thing I hope with the wendy rework will fix is Abigail being useless in boss fights, without vex wendy hits like a wet noodle & in fights like Bearger, Klaus, & the celestial champion Abigail is pretty much a non factor and you'll have to deal with hitting like a feather for the entire fight

Nope! But my guess has been the 12th and I'm sticking to it! My reasoning is that Klei probably just wants to drop what they have and go on their Winter Break without having to keep adjusting crap up until the last minute.
The hardest thing to keep track of in this Update will be all of Walter's stuff... He has like 12+ new ammos, all the attachments, and plenty of synergizes with said attachments...
Abigail gets one shot protection? I know 25% health marks when gestalt abigail starts fleeing, but stick that on normal abigail too why not. Not even that good without the part of the ai that runs.
I'm really interested in wendys skilltree, as I used to main her when I was a noob. She seems VERY rpomisiising and in the right hands she will be amazing. Her new head and body qeuipment seems really op

celestigail damage was never 500. It was 400 and it was busted. Needed to be nerfed. Also, doing a little more research before posting a video goes a long way
I like the nerfs to gestalt Abigail. I mean you can switch in and out, so it feels like it's supposed to be an alternative approach as opposed to a straight buff, and there's a reason to choose forms now. Like your reward for that ability was more options on how to tackle situations. They might have taken it a little too far though.
Walter's changes are nice but it's definitely not making him more fun to play Most fights just have you hold attack and run away when the enemy gets close
I also hate just how much MORE a character that already had SO MUCH is getting. So many attachments... Too many synergies that you need to mix and match to achieve the bonuses...
That problem that prevents this is Klei deciding to allow for Skilltree Insight to persist forever no matter what versus that also having to be a per world mechanic.

Most elixirs effects don't seem to be worth it apart from nightshade nostrum.

I would rather it all be about Abigail than buffing herself. As a Wendy main I’m not the best player. I use her to do the stuff I’m bad at. I can survive but fighting things I’m just bad. I like the idea of using her for that. Not buffing myself

Don’t get me wrong. I’m happy my main Wendy is getting a skill tree, but her skill tree just doesn’t look that good at the current state. It is 500 damage for a one target attack isn’t that great especially the way it was originally as we didn’t have vex, so Wendy would be doing the same amount of damage if Abigail out which would allow us to use Abigail as our damage dealer while we focus on healing and buffing Abigail
I really dislike how Wendy's Skilltree is essentially just Abigail's Skilltree. She needs one branch dedicated to Abigail with minimal power creep as to not blow the top off these girl's strengths, one to Wendy and her elixir stuff, and the "neutral" branch to ghosts.

Personally I would’ve wanted to see the skill tree to be split half of it more or less half of it focusing on either Wendy’s ability to buff or heal Abigail and the other half being utility for Wendy personally, I just feel like Abigail isn’t good against bosses, even with the changes the original lunar Abigail wasn’t even that good yeah she dealt 400 or 500 damage but Wendy suffered from that as she was only dealing .75% of the damage she normally would with normal Abigail, which I do like as then windy. You could focus on healing Abigail while Abigail deals a bit more damage. I would also love to see a reversal of that where Abigail focuses on healing or providing protection while windy deals more damage although I guess we do have that now that I’m thinking about it with the dark pedal dress, Jesus, I didn’t realize how long this was. I’m sorry about that.
I mean, can really talk about "Abigail Skilltree" when Walter does not have any of anything about him OR even about other thing than his Slingshoot and Woby?
the main thing I hope with the wendy rework will fix is Abigail being useless in boss fights, without vex wendy hits like a wet noodle & in fights like Bearger, Klaus, & the celestial champion Abigail is pretty much a non factor and you'll have to deal with hitting like a feather for the entire fight
I mean, that's what Gestalt Abigail was meant to be for. They just believe she was TOO GOOD at it.

The hardest thing to keep track of in this Update will be all of Walter's stuff... He has like 12+ new ammos, all the attachments, and plenty of synergizes with said attachments...
I don't really see the gestalt Abigail nerf as a big deal, it seemed wayyyy too busted for passive combat

Abigail gets one shot protection? I know 25% health marks when gestalt abigail starts fleeing, but stick that on normal abigail too why not. Not even that good without the part of the ai that runs.
I'm really interested in wendys skilltree, as I used to main her when I was a noob. She seems VERY rpomisiising and in the right hands she will be amazing. Her new head and body qeuipment seems really op

Wendy was able to solo bosses by just dodging with the pre nerf version while Walter definitely needed this buff as everyone was complaining about how bad his dps were compared to even Wes...

Gunpowder is the best for VoltJelly because when Exploding it deals 119 dmg that is then multiplied by 3, causing 357 dmg when critical

celestigail damage was never 500. It was 400 and it was busted. Needed to be nerfed. Also, doing a little more research before posting a video goes a long way

I like the nerfs to gestalt Abigail. I mean you can switch in and out, so it feels like it's supposed to be an alternative approach as opposed to a straight buff, and there's a reason to choose forms now. Like your reward for that ability was more options on how to tackle situations. They might have taken it a little too far though.

Walter's changes are nice but it's definitely not making him more fun to play
Most fights just have you hold attack and run away when the enemy gets close
I also hate just how much MORE a character that already had SO MUCH is getting. So many attachments... Too many synergies that you need to mix and match to achieve the bonuses...

Probably in the minority here, but I would like to see Woby Training to be slower, but carry over between worlds.
That problem that prevents this is Klei deciding to allow for Skilltree Insight to persist forever no matter what versus that also having to be a per world mechanic.
Woby is just a really bad beefalo. They need to just overhaul the thing completely.
I like the gestalt abigail changes, it means abigail cant solo bosses anymore which makes her much more balanced

@@RandomGuyCommenting Wendy is one of the best characters for noobs. Anyone planning to fight bosses won’t pick her because what usually ends up happening is that Abigail dies, and you’re left fighting alone with only 75% of the attack power of a regular character.
It's funny how the community DST pays 80% of its attention to Wendy, 15% to Walter, and 5% to Wortex (my main character) 🥲
