- Two Ingredient Casting Mould.
Hello,
today I will show you how to make a reusable casting mould using only 2 ingredients.
You can use this mould to cast in concrete, plaster of Paris (gypsum), resin or paper pulp. On the video you will see an example of using it for paper pulp casting.
You will need:
Silicone
Cornflour (Cornstarch) also known as Maizena
You can also use tapioca starch or rice flour.
To squeeze the silicone from its tube you will also need a Caulking gun.
Rubber gloves are also very useful.
Use the same amount of silicone and cornflour and add some more starch if needed.
Warning!
Silicone has an incredibly strong vinegary smell so make sure your room is well ventilated.
Enjoy your crafting :)
