MoIy I want to tell you how much I have appreciated your videos. I’m 75 years old. I’m losing my eyesight due to retinal atrophy. I am legally blind now. But will be totally blind within the next six months. So I’m trying to adjust my life so that I get a better understanding of what it is like to function. You’ve helped me realize that it doesn’t end my life. Thank you so much for being there for me.
I remember watching her on master chef, and crying a little on how supportive Gordon Ramsey was towards her and hyping her up. She is a total bad ass and I love her.
I was thinking a solution for the changing menu and not having a braille menu would be a tactile sticker on the table where they can scan a QR code to a mobile friendly menu that you can read with talk to text. And they can update the mobile one as needed.
Hey Molly! I just wanted to comment that I have an invisible disability that affects my life in many ways, and you have helped me SO MUCH. You've helped me come to terms with a reality I've been living with since I was 12 (I'm 20 now), and you've given me the confidence to be able to ask for the help that I need. A month ago, for the first time in my life, I requested a mobility aid because you gave me the confidence to advocate for myself and my disability. I got more dirty looks and whispers than I can count (people HATE seeing a seemingly "healthy" 20 year old woman using an aid), but I kept hearing your voice in my head telling me that it was okay, and I deserved to use the tools to help me, just like any other disabled person. All this is to say that the work you do touches so many lives, and I honestly don't think I would be at this point of acceptance in my journey if it weren't for you. I can never thank you enough, Molly, you've truly changed my life for the better 💜
She did the same for me I'm still in progress for diagnoses but I've gotten an ebike bc walking is hard and now I can do Uber eats too bc jobs r hard for me
I hope that one day these ignorant people will wake up and realize that disabled people don't have a certain look. You deserve to have a mobility aide without having to explain yourself. 🩵
It may not feel like it, but you are now doing the same for others! You are helping normalise the use of mobility aids by people who "look like they don't need it!" You're helping break the stereotype and you should be incredibly proud!
Hi :-) I swear this is not any sort of weird ad comment or scam, or anything like that. Just saw your comment and so that you also are like me and have chronic illnesses and things. I would highly recommend checking out the comment I just looked above Because I think everyone should check out the thing I recommended, especially if they are chronically ill and even also blind and chronically ill. Honestly everybody no matter what disability or even if they don't have a disability lol.
I watched Christine on Master Chef. My boyfriend showed me because I am legally blind and love to cook! I love your videos and you have really inspired me to accept my blindness. In August I was matched with my first guide dog. Thank you for what you do ❤
Christine was one of my favorite Master Chef contestants of all time, and I was SO happy when she won. She seemed so kind even then, and seeing all of her food made me so jealous that I wasn't able to reach through the screen and have a bite. I'm dying to visit one of her restaurants some day. So glad you got to visit her and we got to hear from her! ❤
33:10 That makes sense, but as someone who gets sensory overwhelm, a bathroom is often the only semi-quiet place I can find. I'm glad that many of them don't play music.
Once you said blind chief I screamed! I've been following Christine since she was a contestant on Master Chef! I have her Cook Book and I can't cook for my life. As someone with a disability she's a huge inspiration! I'm beyond jealous you got to hangout with her Molly!
I love you two together! 🥰 Blind leading the Blind is the best series you have come up with! It's always amazing to meet people with a passion and real talent, but it's even more fascinating to hear their life story and how they approach their passion in their own way working around - and with! - their disabilities.
WONDERFUL interview. When you have a disability, as you interview the other person, there is a connection that shines through. Thank you and thanks to Christine.
This episode so far has been my favorite!!! I am so excited for the next one! With having RP, the thought of the possibility of not being able to cook for my family scares me but I am determined not to let it stop me and I’m going to keep doing it! I remember when I was newly diagnosed, my step dad would tell me “When the time comes and you can’t see to cook, I will gladly move in and help”. Bless his heart! While I love that he cares for me…in a nice way “I’m not letting that happen. Haha”. I may only see my hands and not the knife when in chopping….if I got the will then I’ll make a way. Thank you so much for this Molly. It made me tear up in a good way and it’s so encouraging. ♥️ -Andi
This is the second time Molly's posted a video featuring someone I was already following. I love this! I didn't know Christine Ha was already an adult when she started learning how to cook. Just goes to show any time is a good time to discover your passion! I also love the feeling of other people being happy with something I created. I do not cook professionally, but I do love cooking for myself and my loved ones, and it is so satisfying when I get a compliment for something I made!
Anyone can follow a recipe but not everyone can make recipes! And being able to make an actually creative recipe is kind of uncommon. The true mark of her talent is that she can do that!
They also weren’t blind from birth, so it’s just naturally engrained in them to face themselves towards the person they are having a conversation with.
Loved this video :)) and love Christine what an awesome collab. It was really interesting seeing how different both your mannerisms/movements are as someone who lost their vision when they were young vs. in life. Molly has less of those subtle head nods or little micro expressions. Such a fun video thank you!
I love Christine! I have followed her for a while. I watched a video where she showed the beginning process of putting together the blind goat. I can’t wait for the next video.
Please continue this series for as long as you can! I love hearing all the different stories and perspectives and watching you try new things from a professional 🤗
Thank you, Molly for letting me catch up with how Christine Ha is doing! I LOVE her from Masterchef (she's my all time favorite MC. contestant!). I've watched your content for years and same with everything Gordon Ramsay puts out, so its funny to see those two interests of mine cross like this. Thank you!
What's crazy is I just finished season 3 of Master Chef last week and was rooting for her to win because of you! I never really watched the show when it came out till now thanks to my fiance. As soon as she was introduced I just KNEW she had to win!
Hi Molly, you are so refreshing and upbeat! And so is Christine. I love your show and I smile and feel uplifted after every one of your episodes. My paternal grandmother was blind and my mother became blind at the end of her life, so I resonate very much with stories of people who have visual impairments or full-on blindness. Kudos to you. Many blessings and the very best of luck.
Omg Christine is the only Masterchef contestant I remember - she was just so damn cool (thinking back baby me may or may not have had a bit of a crush lmao)
It’s such a breath of fresh air to be honest with you to have somebody who’s blind who loves to cook and is a MasterChef at that and one MasterChef or what was that program called anyways I’m so so happy that you’re successful
I am sitting here listening to the pouring rain at 2 AM in Oregon watching this and U2 are such amazing ladies and I love this blind goat Resturant. I wish I was close and I could go to it. I remember when she won the MasterChef. What can I say but wow!
Hi love the video, i just remembered when you were talking about the menu that i went to a bar/restaurant that had a QR code that you could scan to get the menu on your phone, so that might be somthing to think about adding to make the menu more accessible without having to print braille on the menu since you change it so often❤️❤️❤️
I love this episode so much! I adore Christine and the two of you are so cute together sharing experiences and just talking. Can’t wait for next episode!!! ❤❤❤
I'm so excited to see the next episode an learn all about how she will teach Molly about blind cooking 🍳 as a sighted person I can't wait to see how they work in the kitchen together an go through each task ❤Love you Molly
She has such a great personality I feel like you two would have such a good podcast! Both your voices are unique and soothing. Absolutely adore this duo!
Haven’t watched Christine on Masterchef but I religiously watch MC! I’m partially sighted so commend her work. The restaurant looks beautiful, modern and cosy! 😍
I loved your season Christina. I was mesmerized by you. I have vision loss in my right eye and severe dry eye in my left. So cooking is not as easy but I appreciate what both of you said to keep at it. I’m also physically disabled so I have to work hard at it.
This is amazing! I've never heard of Christine. I love this series and learning about different people and how they deal with vision loss and their different vocations! I loved the part where she was describing how a pan would feel or smell for her to be able to tell if food had been cooked. It's so true that other senses get heightened when we can't see. Even when I go through my episodes of eye pain and blepharospasm with my epithelial basement membrane dystrophy eye disease, when my eye closes up and I can't open it, I am much more aware of my sense of touch, smell and hearing.
I fell in love with Christine's story watching her on MasterChef, and hers is the only MC cookbook I've gotten. This is an intersection that was meant to happen

I watched Christine on Master Chef. My boyfriend showed me because I am legally blind and love to cook! I love your videos and you have really inspired me to accept my blindness. In August I was matched with my first guide dog. Thank you for what you do ❤
omg congrats on matching with your first guide dog!

Same, she proved that you can do anything you want if you put your mind to it.
33:10 That makes sense, but as someone who gets sensory overwhelm, a bathroom is often the only semi-quiet place I can find. I'm glad that many of them don't play music.
To be fair, some people get overwhelmed by silence
@ameliamaureenrose7150 I feel the same. Bathrooms can be a safe space. The world is so loud and oberstimulating these days!
I should add that I would love to see Christine write her memoir. What an extraordinary book that wold be!
ayyy Christine Ha! pride of the Vietnamese people haha. I'm so happy that she's thriving and that her restaurant is up and running :D
Once you said blind chief I screamed! I've been following Christine since she was a contestant on Master Chef! I have her Cook Book and I can't cook for my life.

how am I a blind girl living in Houston and have yet to hear about this restaurant??? Making a reservation ASAP 😛
my jaw dropped and I screamed when I saw the thumbnail and title in my recommended! dream collab for sure 🥹💜

I looove the mint/teal color of the chairs, it looks so stunning with the neutral browns and creams of the decor and tables.
That bathroom is excellent, more like that everywhere please!
Molly! You are a very good interviewer with very interesting questions. A natural☺️
So interesting how they still ‘look’ at each other cos they’re used to talking to sighted people who want them to look at them!

I was in higher school when I she first came out she is so amazing.
As a blind girly I live seeing blind people uplift each other
Loved hearing the origin of the goat name story

Omg that squeak at the end was so crazy high pitched, it's hard to believe it was made by a human! That was hilarious and cute ❤️
