Did you see Magnus said he did not play good. Hahah ofc but yes he had a mouseslip and could push, and then sacced rook which was bad and he just wins that game what? First a piece sac which was a mouseslip im sure he would have queen better placed. but then after he sacced rook he just won even tho Neimann could just pick up and sac rook back on bishop. I think the 2 pieces would win so yes Magnus did not play Perfect so mby he could play better, Neimann did not do too bad but yeah when you opponent does that from a lost posision what can you do. Its gonna be hard for alireza even tho he won their online match recent. He just play and it just works. Going to be fun. Hans Also could take with rook instead and piece hanging but yeah.

In fairness, Hikaru in his late 30's is past his peak (as is Magnus) and Alireza in his early 20's is getting to his peak. Alireza is the best in speedchess of the new generation and both Hikaru and Magnus were sooner or later going to make way for him. That time has already come. The new generation always take over. The signs have been there for a while.
