Could these be the best modifications for the MK8 Volkswagen GTI? A few bolt on parts and a Stage 1+ Tune from Unitronic and we're driving possibly one of the most well rounded vehicles in its category. Practical, fast, fun, and now with some extra hersepurs it's an absolute blast!

I cannot begin to tell you how much I've enjoyed my Mk8 GTI! It's an absolute blast, I've done a bunch of modifications to it but the tune absolutely woke the car up. Great video, man!
I’ve had the EQT stage 1 for my Mk8 manual for 6 months, and it’s been an absolute blast. You’ll definitely need to upgrade those stock tires sooner than you think.
Did you upgraded your clutch before installing the tune? If not, how’s the stock clutch handling the extra Hp and torque??

Dude you aren't lying, my Track Edition AWE exhaust for my 2024 R is stoopid from 3-4K. Wife hoped in today when we went to the gym and said she'd never ride in my car again. I'll order the touring kit soon. Ha.

Wow, that's impressive for a tune. Cool, you can get 93 Octane! I'm jealous. I haven't been able to get that in Colorado for a few decades! Only 100 which is was too expensive. Can't you get tunes for other octanes like 91?
I love the front lip and rear diffuser, where can I get that from ? I own a MK8 40th AE with AWE Track (I mainly drive alone) and love the car.

The best modification to a GTI is to trade it in on a Golf R ;)
Hahaha! Truthfully I would have gotten the R, but to get one in Manual (non negotiable for me) and that wasn’t 10K over sticker price, or not having to wait 2 years, wasn’t happening. But the GTI genuinely has not disappointed at all. Super fun car.
I owned a MK4 R32, and several GTI's, my MK7 GTI had engine issues recently so I scooped up a 2024 R in manual in March. I'm so glad I paid the extra money (no markup though) to get the R. It get's way more attention and with a few bolt ons is just a beast.
I put the high torque APR 93 Stage I tune on my R after 3K miles. I have almost 7K miles so far and no slippage on my stock clutch. I plan on eventually going stage 2 or 3 so if the clutch goes it's an excuse to upgrade.
Ive got the mbrp exhaust with the carbon fiber tips sounds really good
I have a Pomelo MK8 with unitronic stage 2 tune and TCU Tune, its a fun car. I cant wait to do the flex fuel kit and a PMAX in the future.
How are the front wheels handling all the power?
@TheCarCreative First and second gear are almost useless lol, I got Indy 500's tires and a Neuspeed lower engine Mount Insert, they help alot.

Do not lower your GTI if you have DCC. Stock suspension already works great, and lowering springs ruin the dampening and will trash your struts.
Fair points, I am loving it though. The stance looks way better to me and when DCC is in eco mode it’s still quite soft, and sport mode now the suspension is stiff and great. Obviously personal preference though. Thanks for watching mate 👊🏼
Can anyone tell, What is 87 and 93 fuel? In europe we have 95 and 98 petrol 😊
87 is 91RON equivalent and 93 is 98RON equivalent.

I have been following your build. I have personally honed in on the AWE Exhaust and Unitronic intake as my first mods.
You mentioned during this video that you had the Track version of the AWE and switched to the touring.
Is the touring just as loud but without the drone? I was set on the track after your last couple of vehicles but your thoughts in the drone might have saved me some disappointment.

The touring is decent outside the cabin but is quieter inside the cabin. You still hear the pops and bangs, and when the throttle is down it’s satisfying for sure. But no, not loud like the track edition, to me it’s all the tone without the loud. And if you did still want track, it’s good, but loud in the 3000-4500 range.
upgrade your clutch. my tune destroyed my clutch in 2 months. also moonstone grey gti owner
@@andrew_barros thanks for the tip, did you get the low torque option or no?
@@TheCarCreative United Motorsport low torque file. It started slipping on second and third gear pulls. It just can't hold the extra torque. I've never launched it either just spirited driving. I've since upgraded to the HS Tuning Hybrid clutch. it claims to hold 550ft-lbs and keeps the stock flywheel. only other options are single mass flywheel setups.
I need to switch to the high torque now that i have the upgraded clutch, just haven't gotten around to doing it.
@@TheCarCreative I've had the Unitronic Stage 1 on my Mk8 (Atlantic Blue) since January 2023 and have not had any issues, I also had the Unitronic Stage 1 on my 2019 Jetta GLI for nearly 3 years and no issues with the clutch.
MAKE SURE WHEN YOU RUNNING SOFTWARE TUNE ON YOUR VEHICLE THAT YOU HOOK UP A BATTERY CHARGER/TENDER. IF THAT BATTERY DIES BEFORE TUNE IS DOWNLOADED YOU COULD BE FUKD!!
Told you it would be a night & day difference! A tune should always be the first mod, best bang for your buck.
I would tell people don't do mods/engine tunes until you research your vehicle/common failures.

It is not fast. 0-60 times in manual 6.4 Sec 14.8 Qtr Motor Trend.. MK6 manual GTI is 6.5 and 14.98 Love these cars I have personally owned 9 GTI's.
