Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I suppose it depends on the market, but also the name recognition overall. Since Canadian buyers haven't been able to buy a Land Cruiser for quite some time, the GX name could be stronger to many buyers. We've got the Land Cruiser coming up soon!
@@PRNTestDrive astute observation - perhaps market dictates emotion in part. That being said, I’d be lying if the thought of rebadging my incoming GX to an LC didn’t cross my mind lol! I really want to like the LC (250) more, but the mild hybrid and certain aspects like the start/stop and the physical battery size, in addition to the rat’s nest under the hood just don’t do it for me. Going back to names.. long time 4Runner enthusiast here and I was actually thinking to myself how perhaps I am no longer a 4Runner fan. The 5th gen still turns my head in the right configuration but not like the 1st/2nd/3rd gen. 4th forget it, and this new redesign.. I just don’t think I like the 4Runner anymore, even though I’ve always held the badge in high regard.

I had been planning on getting the 6th gen runner for a few years now, but it kept getting delayed.. when the GX launched I knew it was the one. Seeing the 6th gen now only confirms I’ve made the right decision for me. Cheers!
You’re out of touch. This is a Land Cruiser based vehicle and a massive amount are used off road unlike this video that has it sitting in a parking lot. Independent rear is for ladies. This is body on frame full articulating solid rear capability. So what demographic are you referring to?
why do all these reviewers outright lie about the Mark Levinson audio crap. Its NOT "really good". Its horrible and not even bearable. you will start hating all songs you used to love.

I do have a 2024 4Runner on the calendar but I don't know if I'll be able to take it still. It's a vehicle I haven't driven believe it or not.

I still think they should off made this with an independent rear suspension, especially for the demographic that’s going to buy this
Could be a cost thing, I feel we're seeing OEMs remove or reduce features they think most consumers won't see as a must-have.
