by default the focus ring is non-linear, which is way it reacts to the speed of you turning the ring, with G9 latest firmware you can set the focus ring to linear, basically you will get 10-25mm f1.7 lens level repeatable manual focus, you can choose the amount of travel you want for the focus ring, 90 degree to 1800 degree, really makes a big difference in manual focus experience.
somehow a lot of footage from copenhagen suffered from frame drop i dont know why : ( the video from copenhagen was originally in 60fps maybe that's why it drops frames Here's my coppenhagen vlog playlist: ruclips.net/video/zZmlkO-QFpY/видео.html
update: recently i discovered that the photo editing software I've been using On1 RAW has been ruining all my photos, everything out of that software is hazy and mushy, as if placed a dirty filter, after purchasing GH6 i've switched back to lightroom and the images out of it are day and night, clear, clean, sharp, full of detail and vibrance, the tele end softness of this lens was partially due to the terrible On1 Raw editing software, in recent experience the tele end of leica 12-60 is quite decent, stopping down to f5.6 definitely sharpen it up a lot but wide open is not as bad as I stated in this video.
Saw this pop up on Reddit's M43 sub. Great review. The Leica 12-60 is my go-to lens for travelling for its versatile range; struggles at night but that's kind of expected with 2.8. Haven't seen softness at 40mm+ on my lens so it seems to be a manufacturing fault.
in my parfocal section I showed a footage of zooming with autofocus.. unfortunately up till this point Lumix cameras and lenses cannot autofocus while zooming in and out and it tries to find focus again during zooming which ruins the "parfocalness". The best way to utilize parfocal is manual focusing in which mode the focus stays where it is the whole time.
thank you! when you look for lenses just look for the mount, for gx85 or any panasonic m43 cameras it's m43 mount, olympus and panasonic both make the same mount for m43 cameras.

thank you ! yeah it's nice to know that leica make the lens sharp throughout the range, makes me happy even though my copy is bad haha
How would you rate the sharpness and image quality of Leica 12-60mm vs Sigma 17-70mm?

Hello, firmware 1.4 oct 2023 took care of AF when zoom. Firmware 1.2 took care of the focusring controle, its linear now. Pls check, Frans/Bali
Gracias. :)
I was looking all over the internet to figure whether this lens would fit my gx85, you saved my day bro. Thanks for your honest review. Love the vid!
