Just wanted to thank the Smith family for sharing Elvis stories.
I know Elvis fans all over the world want to know what kind of person he was outside the entertainment industry . The Smith family has already accomplished that , so anything that’s new is a bonus ! Just wanted to show my appreciation and thank you .

When Jo is saying that Elvis was here for a purpose, the fact that he is still so prevalent in the world today, on the level of the likes of Abraham Lincoln, speaks directly to that.. There is a reason for his still being 'here' today, unlike so many 'big stars,' and I believe that reason is his effect on the human spirit. The name of Elvis Presley will be just as prominent, with the feelings, of goodness and charity, that he projects to all the people of nations around the world, in the next 50 years and beyond, as he is today, almost 50 years since his passing!

Special request: Could you do a 30 to 45 minute episode, where you show pictures of Elvis on a laptop and have a discussion about that moment. The fans can send the photos to you. Not your privately owned photos, but using photos on the Internet.. it would be a great experience for the ELVIS fans to discuss that particular moment in time. I’ve been an Elvis fan now 47 years. Thank you.🎶🎶🎶

You never really get over it. I'm grateful that you guys are keeping his memory alive. On a lighter note I have a question: how was Vernon as a grandpa? Just love to listen to how much Elvis was loved. I think it was Elvis' kindness that comes thru his eyes and radiates and shows through his soul. Bless you all for taking your time to tell of his kindness. I hear fans and others tell of all the kind deeds he did. I just saw a video where he gave $50,000 to the motion picture relief fund. He was filming Frankie & Johnny. Were either of you there? I cried just warching it. So many stories of his giving. Elvis will never be forgotten. Bless you all for giving your time time and memories.❤

Elvis gave away a lot of his money, cars, homes, etc. He gave thousands every year to charities. And Lisa Marie was the same caring & giving type of person that Elvis was. Lisa started “Presley Place” to help people that were without a home, live rent free for a year to be able to find work and save some money to be more able to afford a home, and essential living needs.

Just thought I would submit a question here: How did Elvis react on hearing the news about Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper’s plane crash. I realize it was quite some time ago 1959, but it is one of those days that will never be forgotten. People reacted very similar to Elvis’ passing. People were in shock, disbelief, sad and not able to comprehend the news. Just wondering how Elvis handled it and if he expressed his feelings to you Billy. Love your stories and sincere passion and loyalty for Elvis. ❤️

@@Somee989 I read that Elvis learned about it while he was over in the Army, in Germany and had Colonel Tom Parker send four wreaths to the families of them that had died. Elvis was dating Anita Wood then, not Dixie Locke Hart. This happened in 1959

I have felt that way about Elvis since the first time I saw him on TV (his many movies), and concerts in person and on TV. I listen to his music since I was very young (6 years old until now at 68), and I have numerous photos I have kept over many, many years! In person and other. I have always loved Elvis and his beautiful voice! His humor, his gorgeous face, eyes, smile, his generosity in giving, caring, his love of animals, friends, family, country… although I’m afraid he might be upset with the way things are today… 💔
But I have ALWAYS felt (seriously) that God placed Elvis here on Earth for a special reason. I don’t know if that reason was fulfilled or not, or what it truly was…. but I DO in my heart, know that Elvis was placed here for a special reason, and that Elvis was a very special human being..

Ciao ragazzi. Angela

I am so glad y'all are making these videos, getting the stories out there for all of us to hear. I am fairly new to all of this despite being 50 already, just simply missed it all when growing up, and starting looking into who he is because we will be getting married at the Westgate next week and I wanted to learn about who he was. Boy I had NO IDEA how amazing of a man he was, all the social changes, the fact he basically put all the music I love so much into motion by bringing Rock n Roll to the surface, and videos like these are so appreciated. I have spent the last 8 months learning all I can, and have narrowed it down to people who were there, so I can avoid the garbage videos. What y'all are doing is so important for future fans that were not able to participate in any of this. I hope you know how special it is you can share this with us now. You are definitely helping humanize Elvis, he was a man. Its funny, I have been a musician for years, leaning into the jamband/bluegrass territory and I never noticed Elvis. I have now though, and I like to say I fell into an Elvis hole because I didn't expect the depth and layers that I have been uncovering on this new journey of discovery.

Another wonderful video, Danielle. I keep thinking how hard it must be for Billy & Jo to relive their memories. I'm so glad they think Elvis would be happy with the truth being told. There is so much out there about him that is NOT true. Times have changed. I absolutely LOVED getting to meet them in person and hearing their experiences, and yes, even that he was with many women. Of course he was -- it was silly for me to believe the myths, and I hope it gives them some peace to know they do a great service to his memory.
I'm pretty sure Elvis' music IS still very high in the charts. He was a gift to us all--we were lucky to have him with us for as long as we did.
Love to all of your family!

These people that all talk about Elvis on Facebook and tell so many untruths just drives me crazy. Really enjoyed listening to this Session. Appreciate your honesty & genuiness Billy & Jo! I think Billy's right when he said it was an Equal Blend Elvis had likeness of his Father & Mother you see it in different expressions of his in photos & film over the years. There's a photo of Vernon when young man with Gladys, he is fair haired &
his expression is one you see Elvis had at times.
Even Lisa as a child like her Grandpa too.
I think Elvis eyes like his Mother & maybe his temperant from what others who knew them back then observed.(Lamar etc). Guess when his hair dyed black he looked more like his mother.
Like all families there's similarities in different ways looks & personality.
Thankyou for all your time & effort Danielle making these videos, just know it's appreciated very much🌻.

The Beatles tried to visit Elvis at Graceland, but he wasn't here in Memphis at the time. He was in Hollywood.
They ended up finding Vernon's house on Dolan and knocking on the door. Vernon and the Stanley boys informed them that Elvis was in L.A.

That was the only place where Elvis could go to have privacy, peace, and be in his own private place!

QUESTION PLEASE💙⚡️.... if Lisa Marie had been in control of Graceland from earlier on do you think it would be as commercialized as it is today? I believe she would have been more interested in keeping her father's memory alive as he lived and less about money? I would appreciate your thoughts. THANK YOU ⚡️💙

    • @sandralybrand9425
      @sandralybrand9425 2 месяца назад +4

I think so too! It's a shame she wasn't interested in the running of it. I kind of understand that she was married and busy raising her children for so many years, but then spent a few years with addiction and then the suicide of Ben and fighting for custody and the money grab by Lockwood that continued up to her death😢 She had so many things going on and it would've taken up so much of her time that she wanted to spend every minute with her children. Especially after Ben's death. But at least she put a stop to Pricillas and her thief of the other trustee as well robbing her blind! Before she died, she'd just started working with Joel and doing appearances at Graceland. It's just a shame of everything in her life was tragic after Elvis died personally. 😢 Of course Pricilla picked up where she left off suing the estate and extorting Lisa's daughter to get more money and the right to be buried at Graceland! 😢😢 I believe if she's buried anywhere near Elvis they will lose even More Elvis fans on top of the ones they've lost because of greed for money! They've priced us working people out of being able to go! 😢

@@sandralybrand9425I don't think she was ever *encouraged* to take control. Priscilla has always wanted to be in control and be the face of Graceland. The other factor here, if Lisa had a loving and nurturing mother and hadn't been cut off from extended family on her father's side after Elvis passed, I believe her life wouldn't have been as difficult.

Billy Stanley interviewed on RUclips said during the Beatles first tour in the United States in 1964, the Beatles pulled up to the Graceland gate to see Elvis. Billy said that the gate keeper told them to drive around back to see his father Vernon. Billy said Vernon told the Beatles and their manager that Elvis was in California filming. The next year in 1965 as you witnessed, the Beatles visited Elvis in his California home.

Thanks for all your stories. Love you guys. I am just wondering if you heard any stories about John Smith Presley who was adopted by Gladys's brother and claims to be Elvis's son. There is a book to be released, followed by a movie. He is backing this up with DNA and other evidence. On another note, Elvis's appearance is a good mix between his dad and mom, however, in his much younger years, he looked more like his mom. Thanks so much!

I love this channel because of Billy and Jo always being honest. I've been a fan of Elvis since the 50's, and I always will be. I love his music, movies, his heart, and his handsome face! I wanted to add my opinion on who I think Elvis favored in his looks. I think he favored his Mom. I saw a few genealogy pictures of Gladys' parents and they were very nice looking people. Not sayin' the Presley family isn't as Vernon was handsome.

QUESTION,Hi Danielle, thank you for all you do in getting these videos out to us all 🙏 we are getting the truth from Billy&Jo which is what we all need to hear, also from Linda&Sam Thompson, they too speak the truth about everything to do with Elvis.I dream one day to meet them all,I have written a film called Flowers For Summers and I intend for them all to play a big part in that film if I can ever get it made. This is a big question and I am not sure if you would want to ask it,but for me it seems with Lisa’s clear financial position she was forced to promote the Elvis movie, she wasn’t well enough/ready to be out in the public domain (she was rumoured to have had stomach surgery as she had gained a lot of weight being home, and wanted/had to lose weight to promote the film) do they think this is possibly the case? Also nobody is talking about what financially Lisa got from promoting the film, the film was rubbish,Austin’s acting as Elvis was great, but the film itself was a poor portrayal of the greatest entertainer ever!!Something was off with it because Lisa said it was great, yet most said it wasn’t,so was it just for the money because she was kind of broke?Love to know both their honest opinions 🙏🙏
