People applying upsc just for getting power and facilities only but becoming ias is lot more than that you should be very hardworking and have motive of country
my father want me to be an IAS as i belong to a middle class family and i am a ranker ( kind of like my average score is never less than 90) but i did not felt much interested in this career so i was here to understand what they actually do ? and i h now have greater respect for them but knowing that how they makes so many choices every day and have so much of pressure from ministers , have to face rude politicians and still follow their orders with patience... i do not see myself as capable of doing that . also, i am very indecisive and to have all the basic knowledge about every field and to guide a whole district with leadership nd immense patience is a job i do not see myself doing. i am not underestimating myself but i know myself . i could never bear somebody ordering me and controlling my choices at the time i can not make choices the whole day . that is why i back off from this career but i have great respect for those who donot. i hope my father will understand me and will let me choose my path by my own.
I think the IAS officers, IPS, IFS officers should run the country with one single ruler like a president or a PM.... I don't wanna expand, u'll reading this definitely Know why m I saying this
it's important to have opposition, so that ruling people don't misbehave with their powers and prevaill a dictatorship. Opposition critic and challenges rulling party's policies and decisions, which the rulling party generally are ignorant about. Just look for the examples like Manipur communal riots, which were brought up in parliament by the opposition and not by the central government. And next you will say, IAS and IPS are far better than politicians, when you have sole powers or you're the highest in heirarchy everyone loses their content and ethics, it's an human tendency to greed, look for the example for the countries who have dictatorship- where the army rules.
