  • Boris Johnson probably thought it would be easy to spin his own narrative at the Privileges Committee today.
    Harriet Harman had other ideas.

I live alone in a small town in the West Country. I spent the whole of lockdown alone because I was convinced if I followed the rules, then we’d beat the virus.
I got Covid while in lockdown, probably from my weekly supermarket visit since I stayed inside my flat and didn’t see anyone else for for the rest of the time, for months. I was alone as I spent 2 agonising weeks in bed, trying to get over the virus.
Seeing Boris Johnson desperately trying to save his political career today by making up pitiful excuses had me raging. I thought of my lonely months obeying the rules, and of all those people dying alone because their loved ones couldn’t be with them during their last hours, because they also wanted to do the right thing.
BJ is an abhorrent creature. He needs to be thrown out of politics and into prison. Words fail at how disgusting this man is. While the UK suffered, the man in charge was being the popular boy in the school yard, organising parties and karaoke up in his flat. Lockdown for him was 6 months of being the No. 10 legend.
    Sickening and disgusting.
