Surah Luqman:
"But there are some who employ theatrics (Some pagan Arabs used to utilize singing, dancing, chanting, etc. to distract people’s attention from listening to the recitation of the Quran.), only to lead others away from Allah’s Way-without any knowledge-and to make a mockery of it. They will suffer a humiliating punishment." (31:6)
"Whenever Our revelations are recited to them, they turn away in arrogance as if they did not hear them, as if there is deafness in their ears. So give them good news ˹O Prophet (P.B.U.H)˺ of a painful punishment." (31:7)
How does this message become "Nasheed is haram," when the Surah is discussing how pagans used "Theatrics: singing, dancing, chanting, etc., to distract people’s attention from listening to the recitation of the Quran! Their intention was to distract people from remembering God as well as making a mockery of recitation. So, how a Nasheed, that is being used to praise God and Islam haram???
