Ok this bacon is chefs kiss! I made it today and couldn’t stop dancing! Thank you for putting this in my life! It’s the best vegan bacon I ever made! I marinated my tofu overnight by accident because I fell asleep lol. So today I cooked it in my toaster oven on air fry mode and it was so flavorful and it has the texture of turkey bacon!
Sis!! Bottle this up and sell it!! How convenient would it be to have a vegan “bacon” marinade?!? All of those ingredients in one bottle instead of having to get all at the store. Sell it!! 😂❤
This was good, and so were the harissa beans and un-tuna. May have cooked the bits too long, but I'm still snacking on them. Two months with no meat, and I am so thankful for the recipes you share. They are delicious. Thank you.
You definitely dont have to justify calling them 'tofu' bacon. Its not like animal bacon is labeled as "exploited baby pig bacon". bacon is just a euphemism, a made up word to make people feel better by distancing them from the flesh theyre buying. This looks super tasty!!
GURLLLL this was soooo good I just crumbled it and it was soft and yummy. I've tried many tofu recipes and did not like them at all. I toasted some sourdough bread with avocado on one side and plant base laughing cow herb cheese on the other with it. It was AWESOME I didn't miss meat at all.
I just bought some tofu that I haven't frozen. Will try this today. I used already frozen tofu last time and girl I burnt that whole block!! 😂😂😂 I'm meal prepping today AND I'm making Harissa butter beans for the my lunch for the first part of the weeks lunches. 😊😊❤

i wouldn´t let it marinate for more than 8 hours mainly because of the size of the tofu. The soy sauce is acidic, and it could start to dissolve the proteins in the tofu and break it into even smaller pieces
I tried to make this tonight and it did not turn out well… I had all the ingredients and was following them religiously and then when I started to slice the tofu, I realize I forgot to put the water into the marinade. After that, everything’s a blur. I did pour the water in, but then I think I threw in some red wine vinegar, A bunch more Worcestershire sauce, and some extra maple syrup. If you get panicked in any case, I burnt some of it and the rest of it is kind of gummy… I will try again though… wish me luck! 💕

Americans always have problems pronouncing it - but for us Brit’s its simple, we just say Worcester sauce - pronounced woosta - nobody ever bothers to say the whole thing. Even people from the region say they are from “woosta” not woosta-sheer (which is how we’d pronounce the whole word).
Not sure what I'm doing wrong, I followed the recipe and instructions but mine were burnt around the perimeter and not crispy in the center. The burners bits really ruined the batch taste. Not sure I would recommend this one

I made this about two weeks ago and it is delicious. I used it in a Tofu BLT wrap.
