I absolutely love that you push yourself to do something alone ❤ I enjoy my own company and a lot of times I feel like I make some of the best memories 😊 loving your vlogs as always!! ❤
As a fellow introvert, I strongly resonate with this one. I take myself on solo dates all the time. Mostly coffee shops, restaurants or just spending time in nature in a park. One of the most liberating things I did that opened me up to this is when I went to the movies by myself for the first time. I was all in my head about it before, thinking I would be judged, but turns out absolutely no one cared. lol If they did, I couldn't tell. And solo traveling to Colombia has been one of my favorite trips, being able to enjoy what I like to do without needing to worry about anyone else. I enjoy doing these things with people in my circle but doing them solo just hits different.
glad to hear it resonated with you 🫶🥝 I know exactly what you mean about going to the movies - it's funny how we can get in our own heads about stuff like that, even when we know we're all sitting in a dark room to watch the movie anyway hahaha! wow Colombia sounds like a very fascinating adventure to experience alone, kudos to you for making the most of your solo trip 🙌
Celine your vlogs makes me so calm and peaceful, Thank you so so so much for making such a wonderful beautiful vlogs for us and I will always be your supportive🥹💫💗
I had no idea you are an Introvert too! Jeez, I just started my youtube journey and I gotta say.. IT IS SUPER CHALLENGING, I think I rehearsed at least 100 times trying to make my first review video. It's hard for me to look at the camera so I need to make edits every 3-5 seconds so it won't be awkward. Also, I just got back from canada 2 months ago and it is absolutely breathtaking! We visited Whistler and Victoria. God bless you and your journey here Celine!
too relatable!! 😅 that's how I felt for MANY videos when I started - and still feel that way oftentimes! practice makes a big difference though 🙌 glad you enjoyed your Canada trip and thanks for the support ✨
It's crazy - i have no issues whatsoever eating out solo when I'm abroad (done it many times in Japan), but when I am here in Canada I feel almost like I'm going to be perceived weirdly if I do it. But I've gone on a few solo food outings and it's been great to get to know the city :D Calgary is much more of a hidden gem of a food city than most people realize! It might not have the glamour of a Vancouver or Toronto, but we have some amazing food places here!
that's a good point! initially, it felt easier to do things solo when I visited cities I didn't live in and knew I didn't know anyone at all. that said, I've heard that Japan's culture is great for solo travel in general! and yes, I'm realizing there are many food options in Calgary and can't wait to explore more ✨🥰
@Celinelikedion Hey Celine, this is such a lovely video to watch🤗. I felt like I was there with you on your solo date. I love doing things on my own, especially discovering new sights and places to try new food, especially on quiet days. The last time I took myself out was to a huge pop culture convention. I had the best time. I am an introvert myself but I used to be such an extrovert. I can see that you have become more comfortable vlogging in public. The ramen dish looked so delish.😛 And what flavour of matcha did you try? I read all of the Harry Potter books. There is actually going to be reboot of Harry Potter but it will be a television series. The creators are now casting for Harry, etc. Cheers, Lara 🦘🐨
hey Lara! awe glad it felt like yall were coming along 🥹 trying new places on quiet days like week days is my favourite way to explore! a pop culture convention sounds so fun 💜 and I’m glad I get to reflect on past vlogs because it feels gradually less awkward to be in public 😅 the matcha was a seasonal ube matcha! such a great flavor if you haven’t tried it before. I didn’t know about the Harry Potter show, I’ll have to read it before it starts 🤭 have a great rest of your week! 🐨
Hello Celine Good morning! Ramen bowl looks good, Most of the time I like to eat by myself too Most time i eat at the restaurant or just get takeout to go. Have a nice wonderful day 🍜🛴📚📖
I enjoyed you solo adventure date and seeing that cool book store; I miss the large bookstores that used to exist where I am. As an introvert with often no one to hang out with, I do solo outings on my own all the time and enjoy it. I noticed there is a tower in the distance in the city, does it have a public observation deck for viewing similar to the tower in Toronto? It would be cool to see in a future video outing for you to visit the top and get a panoramic view of Calgary looking down.
glad you enjoyed coming along 🫶 that’s a shame that the bookstore doesn’t exist anymore near you :( yes there’s an observation deck in the Calgary tower! I haven’t been there yet but hopefully one day I’ll document it ✨
Hey! I watched your what i eat in a day! Liked your recipes! Do you not eat many starchy carbohydrates? Like with your egg white feta avocado breakfast, any bread or potato? Just was wondering as I wanted to try it out :) xx
thanks for watching! I try to avoid starchy carbs early in the day because I find it helps prevent slumps/crashes - but this isn’t a hard rule and totally depends on the mood/day 😅
I never felt the stigma against solo diners or moviegoers... but then I probably first got used to it when I was about your age. I reached 30 and realized that if I waited for someone to go with, I was never going to travel, so I got bit by the travel bug. As a longtime solo hiker/backpacker, it wasn't much different. Nowadays I prefer going almost anywhere alone; no distractions. As you said, there's no worries whether the other person's liking their meal or the movie, or if I take pictures or rest or take a mo to just absorb where I am, to wander, following my nose. I noticed your streets seemed so *empty*! Really? And the buildings all seem oriented to an indoors life, not much facade, big blocks of concrete... Here, except for the B&N chain we don't have even one sizable bookstore, just a few smallish nooks which specialize in touristy, light-reading fare (7/11's for the mind). And this is a huge tourist-mecca city, go figure. Not much in the way of culture, here, (unless you're wealthy). Folks used to say people in my region were more interested in running around outdoors, but no, they're actually just sitting home watching something being boring. Thank goodness for you, your sincerity and the hard work and effort you put into your vlogs.
I think the stigma does fade more with age but, to my surprise, I’ve spoken to others in older generations that still seemed surprised to see solo diners or movegoers! solo travel is such an undervalued experience. there’s definitely more peace on the streets around here! so many cozy cute places inside like coffee shops and more bookstores that I hope to go to :) thanks for sharing your perspectives and kind words as always 🙌
Hey Celine! I saw your Spidey senses kicking in at 3:53 when those books were toppling over 🤣. Great reflexes! So glad to see you enjoying Calgary and enjoying some solo time! 👍
my comfort youtuber 🤎 it honestly amazes me that there is still a stigma around doing things on your own. loving to spend time with yourself brings so much peace in life! also the face you made trying that matcha had me dying lol. ooh and i have a similar electric scooter and it is such a game changer! also super fun haha
thanks bestie!! 🥹🫶 yes I was surprised to hear people saying they felt sorry for solo diners or people at the movies! girl the matcha was matcha-ing harddd 🍵
what was the last solo date you took yourself on? 💖
loving these introvert diaries! I’ve been on solo strolls admiring the fall colours 🍁🫶🏼
Love that, the fall colours are the best part of the season! 🍂🍁

thank you 🫶 happy autumn to you too! 🍁
I just moved to Calgary as well, Facebook groups have been the best way to meet people, so many groups for different people 🙃
that’s a great idea!
Definitely an introvert myself but also genuinely want to meet new people especially moving to a new city like Calgary!
yes it can be hard to meet new people! I'm doing another video on that, stay tuned :)
@@Celinelikedion not to sound like a creep, but I think I past by you near the stairs at Mount Pleasant view point😅

Solo dates are the best. Sometimes you just need to have fun by yourself. I love going to baseball games. I’m a METS FAN. You heard of that team?🫶🏽
totally agree 🙏 going to a Mets game sounds like so much fun for a solo date idea!
