Today I happened to hold some high-end Yonex Racquets: Arcsaber Pro 11, Arcsaber 7 Pro, Nanoflare 100z, Astrox 88S Pro, Astrox 88D Pro, Arcsaber 99 Pro, Nanoflare 700, Astrox 100z, Duora Z strike, Duora 10. shelterin Being a fast player who scores points based on speed. Most head-heavy racquets would lack control and speed in terms of switching grips while defending. I play singles mostly with Voltric 10dg(Head heavy and stiff). My Review about them: Arcsaber 11 Pro -> Perfect Racquet (Everything that you ask for) Arcsaber 7 Pro -> Once you hold 11Pro you don't want to handle any other Arcsaber. 7 is also perfect I think grip-wise there might be a difference. Astrox 88D Pro, 88S Pro -> Almost similar just 88S Pro feels more control, 88D feels more power. (Pick anyone it won't impact much). Nanoflare 100z -> Mama Mia is so light loved it, speed and control (10/10) but when it comes to smashing it would let me work more (Pro players can smash with all of these racquets) plus I could feel by touching frame one clash and its goneface-purple-sweating. Being from a normal family, I will stay away from this racquet. But it would be my fav and any day racquet. Arcsaber 99 Pro -> Head heavy so I don't like the feel and control of it (Stiff too) Astrox 100zz -> Same as above more stiff and head heavy. * All rackets are amazing it mostly depends on your playing style. I can't handle 100zz I am not ready to accept itface-purple-crying but once you get over that thing what works for others will work for you as well. Before choosing a racquet, inspect yourself what your major points how you play, and how you earn most of the points. Is it by smashing, or more by defending, long rallies? @@midnightmusic46 Arcsaber 11 Pro would suit you, its even balance. I really love the feel of it, i myself play defence style, fast-paced game. I ended up choosing 88S pro and it is too amazing, the only thing it helps in smashing more than 11 Pro, but 11 Pro has more control. Yes Nanoflare 1000z is good but kinda very soft and over control. It feels like you are cutting the air amazing racket but i don't want that much control, i like to use my muscle memory a bit. Yes Nanoflare tends to break when clashed although all high end rackets are delicate. Last week i bought Victor Thruster Falcon ENhanced Edition , after gutting break i didn't cut the gutting then and there and my racket broke after 1 hour. so keep Scissor with you while going for any high end racket. Look all high rackets are delicate, if u would clash they will break no matter , 88 S pro , 11 Pro , what soever. So don't consider that breaking factor while chossoing racket. go for what feels best. HOpe it helps

Arcsaber 11 pro is definitely not an easy racket to tame. I agree with you initially when I bought this racket and was disappointed with the performance, but after using for 2 months, and you start to get used to the racket, I realise this is an incredible racket for doubles. Drive shots and placement accuracy is top notch. Smash is also better once you get used to it, its hard to explain but basically when smashing you need to focus more on placement than power smash. I think if you are an advance player you will definitely like the arc saber 11 pro, but for intermediate players it is not a forgiving racket.
I agree. A balanced racket nowadays is not easy to like amongst all the speedy and powerful rackets. At first impressions you will miss the power you get from the whip of a head heavy racket and the fast manoeuvrability of a head light racket. But as I got used to it, it feels like a jack of all trades and master of all since it feels really comfortable hitting any shot. There's no extra drag trying to fast drive or defend like a head heavy racket, and power is still easier to generate than a head light racket. In an amateur game, tiny extra speed in heavy smashes rarely matters if you have good technique in the first place. You can smash well when you need to with any racket once you get used to it.

Dont know others think, but after i use my arcsaber for the 1st time, the controlling is more stable and there is no problem for doing the deadly heavy smash. Its up to your technical ability to perform the smashing
Looks like you have found a racket that is suitable for your ability. Stay with that. I did review all 3 rackets with the same technical ability and hence felt that the ArcSaber 11 Pro was not the best for smashing.
Who was used Arcsaber series rackets and knew how is the racket for balance control not for one hit hard smash. Excellent on net kill plus cross net shot.
Not every racket is made for everyone, there is high end and mid you just have to find the one that suited you most, i had the Nanoflare 800 head heavy been using it for a while , it has power backbone but i feel i can not tamped it some how, one day a friend let me hold his Arcsaber 11 pro , wow the feel is amazing, i love it straight away before playing with it, its like meant to be lol, i feel i can do more with it in my imagination already, so decided to buy on online already.
Review that is only focussing on smash is pretty flawed. There are drop shots, drive, clear, net, backhand and other shots in badminton. It also depends if you're playing singles or doubles. This racket is better suited for advanced singles player while the OG Arcsaber 11 is great for beginners to advance players.

I would like to ask you for suggestions on how to review net shot and dropshot when it comes to the racket review. in a related note, which aspect of the racket do you think affects the net shot and dropshot. @@MoreThanASwing The placement of the shuttle while you doin net shot and drop shot. Is the shuttle goes to the direction you want? Is it consistent while you doin that shot? Is the shuttle fly closer to the net while you doin that shot or is it goes high and flat? How about the feeling while you doin that shot? Is the racket responsive enough while you hit the shuttle? Can you feel the shuttle while you hit the shot or is it damp so you cant control/feel the shuttle enough? Thats some of points you can make while reviewing this racket for delicate shot like slice, drop or net. You could play a match and tested the racket also. Make a note about every shot you do, and compare them when you play with your usual racket and the racket you review. From that, you could tell a more detailed advantage and disadvantage of the new racket you currently review. I'll give you a couple of reference for you to improve your review skill. If you have a free time, first channel i suggest you to watch is CK Yew, make a note on how he review a racket. And second is vsmash channel, the guy review every shot he played and gives a very detailed review about the racket. Im not encouraging you to copy their style, but maybe you could learn a thing or two and add them to your already good review.
I have these 3 models. For me, 100zz is the best for smashing but lacking in defense compare to the other 2 models. But it's a beast especially at the backcourt. Arc11pro is the best/easiest to do lifting-defense and i feel it's very accurate for placing and netting. Like its name, it's the all rounder racket. Nanoflare800 best in counter attacking drive-defense and all those shots at the front to mid court. For smashing it's quite similar to the arcsaber 11 pro in terms of power produced. Well, racket feeling is indeed subjective.
I agree with most of your comments: 1) 100zz is best for smashing 2) nanoflare 800 is best in counter attack and drives. I agree halfheartedly that the Arc11pro makes lifting "easy" and i am guessing it is because of a larger sweet spot.
Nice short intro video. I'm actually surprised by how you felt about the AS 11 Pro and the claim is backed by a metric. To be honest, if that's the truth then I'll be a little disappointed with this release. I have all 3 models as well in 4UG5. For my case, I really love the 800NF and use it over 100zz. I was hoping that AS 11 pro would come between them, but so far when I tried I had the similar conclusion to yours. However, for mine I still have not strung to my usual string (66UM @ 26 lb) as I got it second hand (80 Force @ 28 lb) . Currently: NF800 (66UM @ 27lb) >= AX 88D Pro (66UM @ 26 lb) > AX 100zz (66UM @ 26lb) > 11 AS pro (80 Force @ 28 lb) Really look forward to an in depth review that you mentioned you might be doing!
Hi Benedict, thank you for sharing your thoughts! While it may not be the racket for us, it may boil down to personal preference (which is very normal!). That said, credit is still due and we felt that the AS 11 Pro was a forgiving racket that was well balanced and works well in most plays. The technologies Yonex introduced in the racket head made it more playable at the beginner and intermediate levels. This could be particularly helpful for players who benefit from the larger sweet spot and the flexibility of improving their games without niche-ing down to a head heavy or light bias. Yes: if defense is your strong suit and you're looking to maintain stability and keep playing a defensive game and tire out your opponents who keep attempting to attack, this is the SAFEST bet. No: if defense is the only strategy in your gameplay, likely you might steer towards more defensive and stable plays, making you more susceptible to being "read" by your opponent by being predictable. Badminton is also a game of developing range - consider if you want to improve your attacking game, so that when your opponents make a mistake and give you an opportunity to go for the kill, you can take it. i know it that arc11pro is overrated, the way other review it is like a perfect racket (mostly of them own a badminton store so...). i have try playing with it and its like a jack of all trade but not worth for the price. its a good racket but too overprice for its performance and the store reviewer keep overvalue it like its a must buy racket. heck if you like it than use it!

personally, i think 5U is really too light. i came from a 5U head heavy racket. it plays like a head light racket as the weight difference really negates the head heaviness. smashed and clears will feel really soft/mushy while the shuttle loses momentum fast. I suggest you to go with a 4U even balanced instead based on your described playstyle, try Arcsaber 7 Pro.

@@louisbudisoesanto1567 thruster F is too fast in the air. Almost no wind resistance. Not close to the power that 100zz comes with. However, thruster F enhanced does wonders in drives, defense, and backhand clears or drive.

Just want to say that I have/had all 3 rackets in this review and I concur with the conclusion. Feel disappointed with Arc11 Pro because of the (too much) hold feeling. I find 100ZZ simply better in all categories, unless you do prefer the hold feeling

Arcsaber 11 pro was my beginner racket 😅. Now I’m an Astrox user (1000zz), not going back to an even balanced racket much so with a head light racket. 😅
Hi Rizky! If i'm understanding you correctly, the 100 zz has amazing power. While it may not be as heavy or stiff as a Voltric Z force II, the extra slim shaft and racket technologies give it very high effective power without compromising on speed. Hope this is helpful!

Hi Hardi! It really depends on a few factors: - Grading: Professional players would go for 28-34lbs, advanced players 26-28. Everyday shuttlers would typically go for 24-26 for a more forgiving play, plus your strings would be less prone to snapping! - String replacement: The higher the tension, the less durable it is. A 28lbs and above string tension would snap if the racket makes poor contact with the shuttle. And even if you hit it 80% of the time, it will snap in less than a month. So to answer your question, the majority of players would string it between 25-26 at a social game level. Hope it helps, and KEEP. ON. SMASHING!

@@satyasandip9949 AH HA! The 100ZZ is not really an updated version of the 88S/D Pro - more like a distant cousin actually! The 88S and 88D Pros primarily favour a doubles game, where the S (skill) suits front court players more because of its (lesser) head heavy characteristics, while the 88D (dominate) favours the rear court because of its heaviness and stiffness. If you trace back many many years ago, this would be the most similar to the old Yonex Armortec 800 - where the orange one was "Offensive" and green one "Defensive". The Astrox 100ZZ favours singles players more because of its aggressive play. HOWEVER, Yonex introduced the 100ZZ with a slightly flexible shaft to make it "whippier" so as to not compromise the ability to still take fast shots. Not sure if you feel the same way about them, but a racket in each player's hand is unique and beautiful in its own way! Thats why we pride ourselves in not just how a racket "feels................." but we put statistics and data to make assertions about what a racket truly is - emotions aside. Cheers Satya and Kyle!

I searched up on google that a 3u racket is 85-90g and a 2u racket is 90-95g. So does that mean the astrox 100zz is really a 2u racket? Or did you make the measurements wrong😭
I already had the arcsaber for these couple months, its really good controlling racket. I feel easier to do dropshot,and doing defense. and I completely agree that my smash is gettling slower. Gonna try the 100zz this week, but honestly I'm afraid of its smaller frame.

Try the nanoflare 800. Its as fast as the 88s pro but it got more power to it. I still dont know how i feel for the back court shots but front court is really amazing

if you really wants some power, it would be the 88D pro. but you will have to sacrifice defense and speed. 100zz would be more balanced, but still decent for smashes. try it.
I've done a review on the NF800 Pro. you can check out the measurements and statistics there. I'm sorry but it will not be possible for me to compare all the rackets given the gazillion possible permutations.

I have played with voltric 70 E tune (3U), arcsaber 10 (4U) and nanoflare 800 (4U) and I like the NF800 the most! It's so easy to manure and moves like a sword in the air - very fast.

Honest feedback from fellow players who've tested new rackets on court is really appreciated compared other players/reviews that base merely on tech specs and numbers without on court testing. Although you mentioned you wouldn't recommend the Arc11Pro, I think this video made me want to get one more. This would be my first high end racket and I'm excited to make a comeback this year. I've only pkayed with head heavy rackets, and I'm starting to I've outgrown my current rackets.
It's a lovely racket, rackets have to suit an individual and paired with right string and tension to bring the best out. I have all these rackets in 3u and 11pro is definitely an all rounder but the 100zz is the power racket and 800 is the super fast racket with good power aswell
Hi Ranish, i dont think it is contradictory at all. Consider a really heavy hammer. if you can wield it, if could be powerful. but it will unlikely be fast. Does that make sense?

Arcsaber 11 is a control racquet for slower ball. Not fair to compare with those racquet. Try more control with drop shot, or half ball, to reduce opponent speed. Yonex arent stupid to create these racquet.

I have these 3 models. For me, 100zz is the best for smashing but lacking in defense compare to the other 2 models. But it's a beast especially at the backcourt. Arc11pro is the best/easiest to do lifting-defense and i feel it's very accurate for placing and netting. Like its name, it's the all rounder racket. Nanoflare800 best in counter attacking drive-defense and all those shots at the front to mid court. For smashing it's quite similar to the arcsaber 11 pro in terms of power produced.
Well, racket feeling is indeed subjective.
I agree with most of your comments:
1) 100zz is best for smashing
2) nanoflare 800 is best in counter attack and drives.
I agree halfheartedly that the Arc11pro makes lifting "easy" and i am guessing it is because of a larger sweet spot.
Nice short intro video. I'm actually surprised by how you felt about the AS 11 Pro and the claim is backed by a metric.
To be honest, if that's the truth then I'll be a little disappointed with this release.
I have all 3 models as well in 4UG5. For my case, I really love the 800NF and use it over 100zz. I was hoping that AS 11 pro would come between them, but so far when I tried I had the similar conclusion to yours. However, for mine I still have not strung to my usual string (66UM @ 26 lb) as I got it second hand (80 Force @ 28 lb) .
Currently:
NF800 (66UM @ 27lb) >= AX 88D Pro (66UM @ 26 lb) > AX 100zz (66UM @ 26lb) > 11 AS pro (80 Force @ 28 lb)

While it may not be the racket for us, it may boil down to personal preference (which is very normal!). That said, credit is still due and we felt that the AS 11 Pro was a forgiving racket that was well balanced and works well in most plays. The technologies Yonex introduced in the racket head made it more playable at the beginner and intermediate levels. This could be particularly helpful for players who benefit from the larger sweet spot and the flexibility of improving their games without niche-ing down to a head heavy or light bias.

Yes and no.
Yes: if defense is your strong suit and you're looking to maintain stability and keep playing a defensive game and tire out your opponents who keep attempting to attack, this is the SAFEST bet.
No: if defense is the only strategy in your gameplay, likely you might steer towards more defensive and stable plays, making you more susceptible to being "read" by your opponent by being predictable. Badminton is also a game of developing range - consider if you want to improve your attacking game, so that when your opponents make a mistake and give you an opportunity to go for the kill, you can take it.
Ultimately... a point is a point. Hehe.

i know it that arc11pro is overrated, the way other review it is like a perfect racket (mostly of them own a badminton store so...). i have try playing with it and its like a jack of all trade but not worth for the price. its a good racket but too overprice for its performance and the store reviewer keep overvalue it like its a must buy racket. heck if you like it than use it!

I'm a doubles social player. I play both front and back. Should I get a 5u with heavy head or 4u even balanced?
personally, i think 5U is really too light. i came from a 5U head heavy racket. it plays like a head light racket as the weight difference really negates the head heaviness. smashed and clears will feel really soft/mushy while the shuttle loses momentum fast. I suggest you to go with a 4U even balanced instead based on your described playstyle, try Arcsaber 7 Pro.

@@louisbudisoesanto1567 thruster F is too fast in the air. Almost no wind resistance. Not close to the power that 100zz comes with. However, thruster F enhanced does wonders in drives, defense, and backhand clears or drive.

Just want to say that I have/had all 3 rackets in this review and I concur with the conclusion. Feel disappointed with Arc11 Pro because of the (too much) hold feeling. I find 100ZZ simply better in all categories, unless you do prefer the hold feeling

Arcsaber 11 pro was my beginner racket 😅. Now I’m an Astrox user (1000zz), not going back to an even balanced racket much so with a head light racket. 😅

Hi Rizky! If i'm understanding you correctly, the 100 zz has amazing power. While it may not be as heavy or stiff as a Voltric Z force II, the extra slim shaft and racket technologies give it very high effective power without compromising on speed. Hope this is helpful!

Whats the string and tension you use on 100zz ? I just want to know the majority people use on it.
Hi Hardi! It really depends on a few factors:
- Grading: Professional players would go for 28-34lbs, advanced players 26-28. Everyday shuttlers would typically go for 24-26 for a more forgiving play, plus your strings would be less prone to snapping!
- String replacement: The higher the tension, the less durable it is. A 28lbs and above string tension would snap if the racket makes poor contact with the shuttle. And even if you hit it 80% of the time, it will snap in less than a month.
So to answer your question, the majority of players would string it between 25-26 at a social game level. Hope it helps, and KEEP. ON. SMASHING!

@@satyasandip9949 AH HA! The 100ZZ is not really an updated version of the 88S/D Pro - more like a distant cousin actually! The 88S and 88D Pros primarily favour a doubles game, where the S (skill) suits front court players more because of its (lesser) head heavy characteristics, while the 88D (dominate) favours the rear court because of its heaviness and stiffness. If you trace back many many years ago, this would be the most similar to the old Yonex Armortec 800 - where the orange one was "Offensive" and green one "Defensive". The Astrox 100ZZ favours singles players more because of its aggressive play. HOWEVER, Yonex introduced the 100ZZ with a slightly flexible shaft to make it "whippier" so as to not compromise the ability to still take fast shots.
Not sure if you feel the same way about them, but a racket in each player's hand is unique and beautiful in its own way! Thats why we pride ourselves in not just how a racket "feels................." but we put statistics and data to make assertions about what a racket truly is - emotions aside.

I searched up on google that a 3u racket is 85-90g and a 2u racket is 90-95g. So does that mean the astrox 100zz is really a 2u racket? Or did you make the measurements wrong😭

I already had the arcsaber for these couple months, its really good controlling racket. I feel easier to do dropshot,and doing defense. and I completely agree that my smash is gettling slower. Gonna try the 100zz this week, but honestly I'm afraid of its smaller frame.

Try the nanoflare 800. Its as fast as the 88s pro but it got more power to it. I still dont know how i feel for the back court shots but front court is really amazing

if you really wants some power, it would be the 88D pro. but you will have to sacrifice defense and speed.
100zz would be more balanced, but still decent for smashes. try it.

Hi Ronni Robert! Across all the rackets we test, we strung our rackets with Yonex BG66 Ultimax. We LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE the loud bang it makes on a smash hehe.
I have played with voltric 70 E tune (3U), arcsaber 10 (4U) and nanoflare 800 (4U) and I like the NF800 the most! It's so easy to manure and moves like a sword in the air - very fast.
amongst the rackets you mentioned, nanoflare has the most "head light" balance. hence, it feels fast.

Honest feedback from fellow players who've tested new rackets on court is really appreciated compared other players/reviews that base merely on tech specs and numbers without on court testing.
Although you mentioned you wouldn't recommend the Arc11Pro, I think this video made me want to get one more. This would be my first high end racket and I'm excited to make a comeback this year. I've only pkayed with head heavy rackets, and I'm starting to I've outgrown my current rackets.
It's a lovely racket, rackets have to suit an individual and paired with right string and tension to bring the best out. I have all these rackets in 3u and 11pro is definitely an all rounder but the 100zz is the power racket and 800 is the super fast racket with good power aswell

Hi Ranish, i dont think it is contradictory at all. Consider a really heavy hammer. if you can wield it, if could be powerful. but it will unlikely be fast. Does that make sense?

Arcsaber 11 is a control racquet for slower ball. Not fair to compare with those racquet.
Try more control with drop shot, or half ball, to reduce opponent speed. Yonex arent stupid to create these racquet.
