- In this video, I go through how to use the powerful auto-sampler in the MPC Live to record samples from external midi gear.
Keep your eyes on the end for how to enter to win a PO-Speak from the channel.
Thanks for watching!
The best Mpc Live Auto Sampler Tutorial I've seen yet!
Thanks!!
You're a synth junkie. No offence, I wish I had them all. Thank you for the video. It was very helpful.😀
You're not wrong about me being a synth junkie. Though, I'd say I'm just a guy who appreciates the synths I buy for the sounds they can make, AND because of the way they look and feel.
Does that make me a synth junkie?!?!?! DOES IT?!?!??
Hmm... Maybe it does... :D
Thank you, haven’t finished the video yet but you explained this so far in a way that makes more sense to me. I always want to ask “but why”, and you thought of all my “but why’s”
School teacher wao nice 👍 from a beginner like me I appreciate thank you
Newbie question.
Can I auto sample few different hardware, save them as different patches, then layer and split them ?
If you were to sample multiple synths, you'd be able to assign any sample to any pay, which becomes the corresponding key you press on whatever midi controller you're using.
While I don't know the specifics, myself, I am certain you could create a program that has as many samples assigned to as many pads as you like, which means you could assign the samples from as many different synths as you want.
Is that what you mean?
Thanks for the response. I just learned about keygroup. So i assume after u sample u save it as a keygroup
So then u can assign any keygroup to a track
Is my understanding correct?
@@henrikgustav2294 Yep, you got it. Just assign it to a track, then go nuts. :D
Nice videos man, keep it up. Nice collection you got there.
Great explanation 🙏
Been looking for someone to explain this menu! Thank you.
Is there any way to up an down the menu using a q link knob? I find myself checking boxes inadvertently.
I don't know if there's a way, I'm afraid.
Anyhow, I'm glad this video helped and thank you for your kind comment.
Very good detailed video explained everything I wanted to know about auto sampling.👍🏾
I'm glad you liked it and found it useful.
Hello thanks for your video very nice. I have a big problem i use the mpc live mk2 and i have the same settings as you only midi channel is by me 16 and when i use the autosampler he recorded nothing and no sound at all is my unit broken or whats here the problem ?
Hi there, I'm not sure what the exact problem might be for you. Can you hear your external device (your keyboard or music source) when you just play it in the audio tab? Have you checked the back recording level knob to make sure your recording volume isn't turned all the way down? Are you sure ALL of your settings are set up to correctly record audible ranges from your external device?
Could you perhaps make a RUclips video of you setting up your MPC Live 2 for auto-sampling and show me how you've set it up? I'd be more than happy to watch it and see if you might be missing a step or if it really is something wrong with your device.
@@CaidicusProductions Hi yes i chosse c2 - c4 note range note stride 6 and he recorded only c4 note i dont check this is it a bug ?
Can you hook up a midi keyboard and play your samples chromatically? Like an oldskool sampler?
Absolutely.
@@CaidicusProductions thanks! Good review!
@@CaidicusProductions Hi another question for the keygroup section of MPC Live II : can you split zones? for instance 1 octave of multi layered bass sounds & 1 octave of multi layered lead sounds? I can't seem to find this in the manual sections of keyrgoups....thanks!
@@Mutropiarecords I'm really not sure if you can do that beyond just assigning different samples to the pads yourself. Like, you could have 1 octave of sample on one pad and another octave of sample on another pad. I hope that answers your question.
a once over with a lint roller will sort that MPC out. : ) Nice video.
I was just going to throw it in the dish washer.
:P Kidding, of course.
