Hey friends! Just popping in here. I realize the music is very loud and distracting, I apologize! I made this video 3 years ago, and I wasn't thinking 😅But, if this is unbearable for you, I found some alternative tutorials that can help: Animate Lines: ruclips.net/video/Z84O5ZkOrxE/видео.htmlsi=qW3n8dvBOnnlsdNI
seeing how you're very kind and tend to respond to your comments I have a question... Can you make pointy lines in after effects? i´m kinda struggling to make lines as threads to animate, I'd be really grateful if someone can help me to make pointy lines
Hi there! That is very odd. The add button should show up on all shape layers. You will need to click the Arrow on the left side of the layer, and then Add should show up on the right side beside "Contents". The only other thing I can think of is make sure to update After Effects? Maybe you have a really old version.
Hey there! Here's how to create a triangle: 1 - Instead of choosing a square or a circle, choose the Polystar shape. The shape will look like a pentagon. 2 - Open up the layer settings once it's on your timeline. Contents -> Polystar 1 -> Polystar Path 1 3 - There should be an option to change the number of points! Change the value to 3 and voila! 4 - Follow the rest of the tutorial using the triangle shape! :)
Hey @stevesmede3165 - sorry to hear you are having trouble. On the layer, on the left of the file name should be a coloured square and an arrow pointing to the right. When you click the arrow, the contents tab should show up. Another thing to consider is: are you sure you are working with a shape layer and not a vector layer? Try converting your AI Vector Layer to a shape layer using the Layer>Create menu. Hope this helps, and if anyone else has insight on this issue, please don't hesitate to comment below!
