My 1st guitar was a Carvin DC400 ... it was stolen in a burglary when i was at work in a brick factory in Carson City Nevada. 1989 I did not hesitate to buy this Washburn Nuno Copy in 2008. It is a wonderful axe.
I have one of these also..They are frigin awsome..I have 2 91'S..YES THEY SHOULD HAVE STUCK WITH THIS DESIGN..THE Chinese ones are the worst. The ones with the offset inlays on neck..I do have a a2009 N2 pro witch is really cool. Its crazy theirs Korean, Japenese, Chinese and Indonesian and they are all very different..There's a 91 N2 on Reverb right now brother
Blown away yet again..amazing. Do all the production N2's have the same body size as the N4? I have a 1991/1992 N2 but I've never had the chance to match it up with an N4. I left school in 1991 and I used to always dream of a Washburn Nuno model and my parents bought me an N2 a few years after. Still my favorite guitar
What kind of issue with N4? I have one that I bought in early '92 one of the neck joint screws stripped the hole. Yes, it was a nightmare at first setting the neck. But the store I got it from managed to do it and I haven't messed with that since. It still plays great but I dread the day it's time to adjust the trust rod which has been decades overdue.
OK hoping to get some help here. I just acquired an N2, not sure of the year, I believe it to be a 90s build,, it does not have the original pickups, so in your opinion what do I go with to get it close to Nuno specs?Bill Lawrence USA, or the Wild L500 or L500XL??? any help would be appreciated.
@@ToddzillaGuitars I'm confused because the guy here says his is MIJ but looks nothing like yours. I asked him and he said it said crafted in japan somewhere. ruclips.net/video/hNKqCsdIFK8/видео.html
because this is probabily a korean N2, korean backplate mounted on a lot of samicks made guitar...greg bennett, kaman gtx, charvel, samick and more; the japanese made have no plate or a different plate with only washburn write and serial...not the samick 90's backplate...plus in the video we never see the back of the headstock...other indicator that's not japanese is in the back of the headstock...
Right after watching this video l got on reverb and found a 91 N2 with non original pups and some paint spots on it for under 400.00. I sure hope it is like this one, l just assumed it was Japanese🎉
Its not. Sorry my friend. That one is korean. I know which one your speaking of. These were only made in the japan market. Almost impossible to find in the states.
Noooo, don't swap that bridge man! It's a made in Japan Tageuchi tremolo unit, exactly like the ones used in those 80s Charvels. You can't get better than that, it kicks every original Floyd I have right in the butt I bought mine in 91 and won't sell it for any amount of money, it's a phenomenal guitar
Hi Todd, did you measure the depth of the neck shim ?? I’ve just bought one that doesn’t have a shim but probably needs a massive one to get the action right.
Did you not see the back plate? Please don't come on my channel trying to question me. You obviously have no clue. An early rare japan n2 is shaped like a n4. A early korean n2 is shaped nothing like a n4.
Great vid, thanks! Yea these are no nonsense beautifully crafted guitars, just like Nuno!
Awesome video!
Thanks bro

I have a bone stuck Japanese N1 ans it’s killer. I’m playing it more than my high end strat. Super confortable to play

No just tge mij this year
Thanks.. how much smaller are the early production Korean N2s??
I have a 1992 N2 made in Korea. My toggle switch is in the same place as yours. The only difference between mine and yours is the tremolo recess.

Stripped bolt holes and cracked fins

washburn doesn't label country of manufacture with 90s n2. What indicators it is japanese or korean?
@qbertrtrtg maybe you should watch the video. Like I stated in the vid, the mij n2 look just like a n4. Same rear covers as a davies. Watch the vid.

String tree is essential on a locking system?? The tree is used to adjust the break angle over the nut for proper tuning....
Not on a floyd, its useless

Its literally the end of a business card that was cut off and stuck in the far back of the neck pocker.
@@ToddzillaGuitars Cheers, It looks like mine had a shim at one point because you can see the witness mark.
@@doctorwal3668 It really doesn't need a metal shim it's literally a paper business bird on the back corner
The pick wear areas look similar to nuno's........someone was shredding....
Where did you buy this mate, thanks

How can you tell this is a japanese one? From what i ve seen the japanese one have a circle backplate for switch cavity...maybe this is a korean one

By the way, this guitar now belongs to the biggest Nuno guitar collector in the world. So obviously I know what the f#%@ i'm talking about
