I used to have a circa '90 Washburn classical wasn't that damn guitar killer sounding it wasn't till yrs later after playing a few others that I regretted trading it🥵🥵 traded it for an 80's bolt on neck V with superDs in it the superD in the neck was killer
I remember playing in hard rock bands back in the late 80s and early 90s and wishing that I could afford an ADA! It is great to see it here and sounding so good!

Holy moley, great choice! I have a N3 (Korean made, precursor to the NX6) with a rosewood fretboard that I upgraded to N4 pickups, original Floyd, & stainless steel frets. Prices are nuts on real N4s right now, would love to grab one or a Padauk someday though!

That's the first guitar I ever played in a guitar store in 1992. Almost bought it. I think the price brand new was $1000 or $1100 at the time. Ended up getting an Ibanez 540SLTD instead. I still have the Ibanez.

Sick sick guitar! The flutter is one of those x factors that only the german ofr/german schaller floyds to consistently well. I have a couple of 1000s that do it as well, but they seem more like the exception than the norm. What scale length is this one Euge?
Sometime around 98 I had a N2. (Sadly I have no pictures of it because in those ancient times there were no mobile phones around yet.) I remember it as a total crap of a guitar: crappy floyd rose, action cannot be lowered… the only thing I really liked was the L500 pickup. Got rid of it soon. Of course with the N4 is whole different story. Nice demo,Euge!
By the way I have several Washburns just got my A15V back from my tech loaded with EMG SA's and it sounds killer!!! Pink with black binding!! These guitars are sleepers and can be found at great prices! Get SUM!!!

Killer, I had an original Davies many many years ago and like a fool I sold it not long after. Just got an N4 Authentic about a month ago and it is my main player at the moment.
I honestly wasn’t aware that they were made in Japan either. But they look and sound great. And when you said they were made by your favourite manufacturer…….Tokai it started to make sense 😉🤘
Fantastic playing! And an absolutely outst find! I've been trying to get one for over 25 years and no luck, I'm not paying 6-7K for one lol. I have 3 guitars with Floyd Rose tremolos and all have the largest Brass big block that they can fit in them, and all have Titanium saddle blocks and screws. What a difference in reliability and note clarity. Definitely worth the price, and it's reversible mods that last the life of the guitar, can't go wrong with Fu-tone stuff.
Wow congrats on that guitar! I'm jealous. U used to own a '97 N4 and it wasn't nearly as good as the old ones and i eventually got rid of it. One day I'll get an old one.
The rails are useful for those who hit strings hard, because of reading more amplitude. But it has to be fender wide range tall, because of not reading half of 1 and 6 strings.

Cool! The 90s Japanese are made based on the original Stephens guitars, like Nuno’s personal ones, so if you want the original go for a Japan made. If not, then the current USA made. Both are good but I prefer the originals a bit more; thicker neck etc.
Check out how close the bridge humbucker is to the tremolo. They're almost touching. I've never seen a guitar with the bridge pickup set that close to the bridge. I wonder if that's part of the reason the bridge pickup has such a clear sound.
A lot of Floyd or floyd type equipped guitars look like that. What you're missing is that the saddles and so the break point of the strings is a bit further back from the visible edge of the assembly than say on a strat traditional unit. It's probably c20 to 25mm saddle to first pole piece row (or in this case blade).. It's all in Euge's fingers! 🤘

Oh you must mean Suhr 😎. I was like what the hell you’re talking about 😁. You don’t need a cab attached with the Suhr either ’cos that’s the whole idea with reactive loads. I’ve been using only my real cabs mic’d for quite a while but as far as I remember they both do the job really well 👌.
The body looks tiny on it. Is it quite a bit smaller than a regular Strat or even a Dinky ? Never mind watch the whole video and he shows it compared to an EVH stripe . I’d never noticed the Nuno N series to be that much smaller I guess it’s really smaller horn to horn and through the waist it’s compact. I don’t think Euge is a small man either probably close to 6 ft tall I’d guess.

Great song...definitely in the Nuno style. I usually love all your original stuff, but the drums you have on this one are WAY too busy. Should be a more standard beat most of the time. There are fills thru the entire song and it is very distracting...just my two cents. Great playing on it.

I love Nuno, he's one of my fav guitar players ever... but I can't get used to his Washburn super strats, they're ugly af lol That bridge pickup touching the bridge and the bottom cutway with the toggle switch there are ridiculously horrendous.
At least compared to the USA made ones, they had in the shop when I bought this, they were the same. But in general these Japan mades are the only ones identical to the original Stephen Davies guitars he personally made back in the day.

Totally agree! He is a slight guy and I recall him saying in interviews at the time he had it made about 7/8 size body wise.

One can adjust the height of the pickups on any guitar according to taste 👌.

Realized looking at the headstock and your removed neck this thing has no truss rod adjustment? What is the relief on it like, Euge?
There’s a trus rod. I needed to tighten it quite a bit since I use a bit heavier strings than the previous owner 😎💪.
