I used to have one of these N2s years ago they were fantastic, like the old Esp signature 600 series they had almost everything the full signature had for like a third of the price. Lucky enough now to own an N4 vintage. Best guitar ive ever played
I have that exact N2 guitar, same year. The one thing that most people who play it notice is the lead tone from the Bill Lawrence XL500 pickups, through hi gain amp it cuts through but also has unique warm quality at same time. Split and natural harmonics sound amazing as well
I played one of the original nunos in the mid '90s at a guitar store chain that I was teaching at, and... IT... WAS... AWESOME... And, they had ESPs there, music Man's, everything! It was SPECIAL!
Had no idea about Japan N2’s! the main difference definitely seems to be the body shape. On the Korean N2s the coil split was originally only wired up for the bridge so if anyone is reading this and upgrades the neck pickup like in the video it’s worth wiring it up so you can coil split both pickups 👍
Hello! First off, love watching your videos. I kinda got into the nuno guitars a couple years ago. Got my first N4 natural off Reverb. I now currently own 5 nuno guitars! 1995 N4 Swamp Ash stained in the paduak (nice weight to the guitar, heaviest of my N4's) 2014 N4 Alder natural stain and I own 3 n2's. 2007 N2Tattook, love the inlays 1993 N2 natural 1991 N2 in gloss black. So I have a question. Is there a way to tell where it was made? I got the black n2 for $220.00 US off Guitar Center, she needed a little love, but the body was near mint (think it was a case queen). I installed a bill lawrence and the Seymour Duncan in it too (someone took em both out). You mentioned in your video when talking about the history the different designs over the years. The black N2 has the 2 knobs (volume and tone), the 3 way switch is located at the bottom of the body instead by the "tail" near the neck. It isn't like the toggle switch, but the blade switch style. The truss rod cover is on the head stock (with the N2 on the cover). It has all the back covers, even has the holder for the allen keys on the back of the neck. The serial number has a lot of 0's in it too (don't have it handy to tell you the number). But I really love these guitars. And my 1993 N2 has a really awesome neck (all three feel different). So any input you can tell me about the black one would be great. The black N2 was just different and for 220 american it was a steal. The frets had hardly any wear on em too! Cheers from the US! Keep up the videos! Mike

Which chain mate? If it's in the UK, I'm curious if it's the same one I worked at in the 80's.
@NiqScott no... It was Philadelphia music company, in the US...
YES! MORE NUNO!

Edit: Both my n2's are 1991's (black and natural)
Awesome collection man! Sounds like your Black N2 might be Korean made iirc they were made by Samick.
What a beast! Love it 👌What amp (or sim) are you using for that tone?! Its very close indeed :)
Line 6 HELIX LT :) I've knocked up a few different 'Nuno' presets. Generally hot rodded Marshall with RAT in front into Marshall 4x12.
@mastertheguitar well I never, sounded epic through my monitors. Can't wait for the future content (WFTP hopefully. Very underrated 😉)
have you tried the N1 i have one and its nice also have an N2 lol
I haven't no, but I have seen them for sale. Always strike me as a bargain.
