Before Taylor Swift there was Ritchie Kotzen from Reading PA I used to watch Ritchie play in a band called Arthur's Muesem Taylor Swift is also from here glad to see Ritchie is still doing it

I love everyone of those guitarists on stage…my only request is with ALL that talent,WHY must they ALWAYS play “I’m going down” and “Voodoo Chile”…while both songs are awesome,I’ve heard these G3 type lineups play those same two songs for YEARS!!! …..and while awesome,they are an easy layup for any decent guitar player,much less these guys!!!….an older Rush song ,maybe ? Yes “Roundabout”? …or if they do a Jimi song ,do “Bold as Love” or “Third Stone From the Sun” instead of Voodoo,Purple Haze or Little Wing…..Old Van Halen….just not Ain’t Talking’Bout Love or “You Really Got Me”…Zep,(but not “Rock n Roll”) maybe even something like Steely Dan “My Old School” I would just love to hear them do something different and unexpected….We’ve heard them do these jam songs at the end for over 2 decades now! Let do something different now ,fellas! The songs I mentioned earlier are everyone’s go-to “jam songs”because they have relatively simple rhythms and then just do an off the top of your head solo….they are easy to pull off ,even with musicians you could have just met that night…. These are world class guitar players that tour together,so they could certainly come up with a few cool songs that they would actually have time to rehearse together….they could still have a long ad lib solo part where each of them goes crazy. If anyone thinks that I am putting any of these legends down in any way,you’re not reading this correctly….I’m sure I’m not the only person that would love to hear these superstar line ups do something besides the same songs year after year.
And to think that some people think that Beyonce with her new country album is a great musician lol. Who do you think will do the next superbowl half time show ? Any day of the week it could be any of the 3 guitar god in this video but music industry being shitty those guys will never have their chance to make it.
I actually find it interesting how out of 3 monsters like those guys none can actually nail the Blues. Malmsteen is one of the few shredders that can actually play the blues, most of the other guys are outstanding guitar players, but the phrasing is lacking for this simple genre.
I mean, it is my opinion, but I’m kinda thinking that Richie swept the stage floor that night and I’m not really a fan of his. I didn’t expect that with all the Nuno-hype lately. I’m very impressed with Kotzen’s performance. Some very tasty playing without rehashing himself
