I just got mine with the plum handles and I love this knife! It is the same size as the #99 Wall Street with the same blade. The knife is a born user for me. The size is good and the usable warncliffe blade is pinchable. This is a winner.
The Tidioute line is my favorite because they are the least adorned. I have the Burlap Micarta , too, and it is my favorite from 2020. Not excited about the others.
Those Vipers Are Amazing. To Answer Your Question Yes That Chip by The Landyard Hole Would Bother Me. Especially For The Price Your Paying, Or another way Of seeing it has Battle Scare That gives it Character.
Imo if that was a case made knife in ironwood people would be slamming them saying case shouldn't of let that knife out of the plant. Let's all hope the new maker of S M gives some good competition.
Very nice. I discovered GEC, because I got a Case swayback and I loved it. I wanted a bigger one. That led me to find the Rough Ryder work knife, which came to me pretty much perfect, except a bent tip that I fixed. Awhile after that I saw a 47 Viper and figured out they were hard to find. Lucky me, they produced them again not too long after. Couldn't get any drops, because of my internet, so I just went for one in Stag on eBay. Also I got a 44 Autumn Gold Jigged Bone. 😅 Anxiously waiting for them to arrive now.
@@KnifeThoughts Yeah, I forgot to mention I got a Toothpick in Che Chen Rosewood to get my hands on a GEC. Now I got a 86 Oily Creek Bone coming from a raffle on a Slipjoint group on facebook I just won today.
Considering how expensive GEC knives are that Ironwood should have been sold as a second, best thing about the Stag no shield, my second favourite of the four, the Black Plum tops it for me.
Oh for fuck's sake just put the thing in your pocket, use it like a tool and stop nit picking every microscopic detail. I swear it's not going to be long before the collector community starts buying microscopes to do their table top "reviews" to check that no atoms are out of place. At this point I own 30+ GECs and every single one of them is a user with scratches and patina and dents and dings. They're tools, not Faberge eggs guys.

Definitely!
I would not mind a little imperfection in a natural handle material . I'm going to ding it up anyway .
Very nice vipers. Black Plum is my favorite of those.

Agreed. The brushed shield and bolsters look the best IMHO.
Cool man. I got 2 the wood and plum. The plum is my fav by far!!

People on Facebook thought I was a jerk for even mentioning it and I should just be happy I got them lol
Definitely interested if you want to part with one
Great video thanks. Great Knives too.
Thanks for watching!

@@KnifeThoughts Yes I follow you and Traditional on ig they look nice.
The 47 viper is, IMO, the best pattern GEC does. Lucky!

Wow that Black Plum is awesome.
Problem with that chip in the wood is you wouldn't be able to get a replacement.

Thanks so much for telling me how to enjoy my property. I’m glad you’ve found a way that works for you.
It’s an unboxing video.
Downfall- they are unbelievably difficult to get!
Yeah unfortunately
These are obsurdly overpriced on the secondary market!
I hate you for getting these. I can't get a 47 no matter how much I try from an AD.
Damm you 😥
I mean enjoy your knives 🥴
Thanks!
