Thanks for the comments. Good question. The hold times I'm referring to hear are more from the perspective of an artistic gymnast in terms of what we would be using for a competitive situation. Our code of points requires hold positions to be for a minimum of 2 long seconds, so we are building towards those types of durations, not longer. When you start working on holds that go beyond 10 seconds for things like planches, the intention changes. You can do it for sure and maybe there is some application in certain settings, but for artistic gymnastics there is little value in holding things for long periods of time. Hope that helps.
