      Exactly why I use Mac face and body- it's ultra sheer coverage and looks like a tinted moisturiser until you conceal or powder- it's for the days you are doing barely there makeup, it's not meant to be put on with a palette knife like you're spackling a wall.

    I just love how Meredith said in a video that she uses her fingers because the sponge absorbs too much product. She said she uses 50$ foundations and she can't afford the sponge absorbing the product. YET SHE PUTS 8 PUMPS OF FOUNDATION ON HER FACE. I remember she also said she uses this much because she wants to hide her freckles... I mean full coverage foundations are a thing you know? I just think she shouldn't comment on something that wasn't supposed to be used the way she did. Even if she used a normal foundation, I don't think putting on that much product will make the it perform the best. If a thing is supposed to be working one way, why do you feel the need to use it the wrong way and have the nerve and audacity to slander it?

      You say "slandered" the product as if Bobbi Brown did not profit thousands off of Meredith's video. She used a product the way she uses hundreds of other products. This is the only one that reacted that way. Why is this one so special?

    • @MissRedZelda

      Yeah, she says she uses her fingers because the sponge absorbs too much... and then immediately afterwards USES THE SPONGE TO PAT IT DOWN

      She also said that she uses the back of her brush to put foundation on her face cause putting the foundation using her fingers gets the foundation in her nails...... The side she applied with foundation looked more even and a lot of the redness went down., so yeah. She irks me, but I guess there’s a niche for everyone.

It was good only on camera, with lightnings and filters etc. then i realised it was not “full glam” it’s cakey mess. As for meredith, she knows what she’s doing, doing things that will generates clicks and views. And no girlie, u don’t called urself “foundation queen” with that kind of mentality.

    Rant:
    “Makeup artists” on tiktok for the most part have absolutely no clue what they are doing in regards to the mechanics and science of makeup. I constantly see tiktokers with golden undertones use products meant for olive undertone skin and be confused as to why it doesn’t match. I’ve seen people try to use oil based and water based products together in a base routine and be SHOCKED when it doesn’t blend together. Tiktok is really bad for the beauty community because half of the main makeup people have no clue how makeup actually works

    • @caelan_cd
      @caelan_cd 2 года назад +4

      @@annawagner7129 hahaha sounds about right. It almost begs to bring on the larger conversation of how work culture (for lack of a better term) is run on a 24h cycle, very much so centred around men and their hormonal cycles, and how menstruating people are forced to adjust to it regardless of any discomfort and struggles we might face because our hormonal cycles run on a monthly (-ish) basis. Great video by Kristen Leo (How to train the Gobin) where she discusses this. It just brings back to the many systemic issues in which menstruating people are so often disregarded because our needs and issues are seen as lesser.

    I think the confusion was that it’s called foundation when really it’s more of a tint. If it was called a tinted moisturizer, bb/cc cream or they made a new name to call it pointing towards it being a tint, people wouldn’t have tried to use it as foundation. When I think foundation I think coverage, even if it’s light coverage it’s still more than a tint

    my skin changed to combination and i get so oily on my cheeks and T zone i also have to powder my face a lot and after a few hours i’d get oily and my makeup looks so beautiful and natural but it’s annoying knowing it’s because of the oils and that it would last long because the foundation would start to separate… that description of the foundation made me so uncomfortable having an oily skin omg

    If you're having problems with your skin suddenly producing a lot more oil, may I suggest you look for any solvent alcohols in your skincare or makeup and stop using them for a long while (although ideally it would be forever)? Solvent alcohols make products dry faster and help with them having a matte finish, but long term, they compromise your acid mantle and cause your skin to overproduce oil. Solvent alcohols include alcohol, SD alcohol, denatures alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, and ethanol. Fatty alcohols like cetyl, stearyl and cetearyl alcohol are completely fine, as they're simply used as emollients. If you find one I haven't mentioned, a simple google search will tell you whether it's a fatty or solvent alcohol. Hope this helps!

I’ve used em cosmetics for a while so I’m more apt to just ignore reviews and try, but a new brand that I have no idea where I stand with… just not a good taste in my mouth about it. Idk about how others feel though ?

Put the foundation on and I was like “did..did my skin become less snatched” and my bf agreed and was like oh “I thought your make up routine was already done before cause you looked good”. Also maybe a touch too dewy but I tried again and put less on and I liked it more, like literally as if I was putting on a pea sized amount of moisturizer.

      As an older person with dry skin, if you just want to even out your skin it is a good choice and after trying this foundation I really liked it. It is very moisturizing. But you have to remember that it has skin care in it and adjust how you prep your skin or it will never really set. But it is definitely just for evening out, not coverage.

    It’s a tinted balm. In the first video she uses too much. But even when I use that much of a moisturizer, I do not expect it to peel off. Even with a wet sponge, it shouldn’t peel off on contact with wetness (so what happens when you sweat? Not a good formula at all). The creams and balms that peel off because I put too much, I throw in the trash or return. 🤷🏾‍♀️

    In Indonesia there are so many MUA who apply foundation using their fingers. They did it on purpose, its makes the foundation covering the difficult part of the face and its helpfull if you had very textured skin. Most of MUA here need very full coverage foundation, But we dont use that amount of foundation like "the foundation quen" did. Its ridicoulous. Its foundation on your face, not cement on your wall..

    • @patrickEleganisme
      @patrickEleganisme 2 года назад +1

      And we use full coverage foundation for full coverage look... Using sheer coverage foundation to make full coverage look is stupidity... Especially if you have so much money to buy whatever foundation that you want. Its like wearing bikini on the winter to make your body warm..
