Let’s test a new viral makeup brand, Jones Road Beauty. This beauty brand has a very interesting marketing strategy that made a lot of their makeup products go viral, especially on TikTok. I have many thoughts about that, but I’m not sponsored, affiliated or getting paid on any of my social media platforms to test these products. Bobbi Brown is the owner of Jones Road Beauty and I really admire her and her passion for beauty and makeup. I’ve already tested her Face Pencil and it’s a makeup product I keep close because I do use it frequently on my “no makeup-makeup days.” Now let’s apply and wear the rest of her makeup and see how well my full face looks at the end of the day.

I like that the brand is about a natural look.... but everything is almost TOO understated. I could get a similar outcome with ELF products and save $200 🤷🏻♀️

I feel I could get the same look from the Wet n Wild tinted hydrator for wayyyy less money. You’re so sweet. I love how you always find something nice to say.
It looks beautiful on you. I believe Bobbi Brown was attempting to make a make up for women like her who as they age need something hydrating and not dramatic. I think as we age we want to look good but we don’t have the patience to take a lot of time with makeup. I would LOVE to see you do your mom’s make up.
I know you said you wanted the eyeliner to be more pigmented, but the soft wing looked fantastic on you!

I haven’t come across a review from any of the many beauty channels I subscribe to, that review any products other than the foundation. I didn’t even know they had other products because no one can seem to address any other product! It was nice to see this video showing what else the brand is about.

The eyeliner may not show as much green as you like but it brought out the green if your eyes
I don't really care for these high end products because you can get the same look or even better at the drugstore... But I want to say thank you for your honesty! X

I ordered Jones road WTF and I hated it! It was olily and sticky/tacky. It was too dewy for me and I don't use power due to age so it was a no for me! I agree with all you said!

You definitely answered the questions I’ve had and have why delayed trying. I have combination skin, especially oily in the summer. In the Winter, I live in Colorado, my skin does get normal with less oil production. I think the line is designed for the dry/mature skin. You wore it well, but not for me.
I understand the marketing but as a consumer it makes me not want to trust the videos and reviews knowing that they are pretty much ads. Not to mention that the price is way too much, $7 for a little spatula??
I can get better products for much cheaper and achieve a better look.
I’m doubtful that this line would sell as well if it was based on the actual products and not the hype.

I love this line and have been wearing it since the start. The WTF reminds me of the Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base Moisturizer mixed with a traditional foundation - a trick her staff taught those of us with more textured skin. I’m loving the Miracle Balms. I have a number of them that I use for blush, highlighter or bronzer. I bought the dusty rose first but never use it, despite my fair complexion.
I may buy the colorless version next to combat flyaways - as a retired photog those flyaways are a pet peeve.
The mascara’s only downside is that it’s always sold out. I like it if I’m in a hurry when I can get by with a single coat - of course three coats rocks my world. So I’d love to know other mascaras you’d recommend.
The tinted oils look absolutely awesome and will be one of my next purchases, I’m just undecided on color.
I’ve also bought a number of her moisturizers. The Hippie Stick is perfection for quick moisturizing. The face moisturizers are the clean versions of similar BB products - which is so much better. If you have dry skin with texture and not a lot of time, this is the brand for you!
I think that this foundation would be perfect for winter times when the skin gets dry ☺️ looking forward to trying it out when it comes to EU

You started out with a very shiny face because of your serums you used before applying JR products…most of that shine is what you had on your face before. I use these JR products and my face does not look like a glazed donut lol. I do think the What the foundation is a bit too wet tho…you have to go lightly with that cream. I love the miracle balm ~ 😍
Looks like you got two super similar shades of lipstick - Valencia Orange and Just Peachy are nearly indistinguishable. It would have been cool to see what a deep shade looked like, to see if they’re streaky or if they wear off well etc.

Sometimes I wish youtubers would show a before and after with only foundation on, just so the audience can see the difference in coverage. To me, I see no coverage at all in this foundation. All of it seems lack luster, especially for the price. It's almost like for teens who are new to makeup and want to use quality products but mom doesn't want them to have too heavy a look. Love Bobbi Brown products but can't get behind this line. Also don't love that the pencils need a sharpener.
Whenever I watch videos that review base products, the creators always say something like “look at how this emphasizes my pores” or any comment about how it looks, then “I’ll zoom in so you can see”. Then they zoom in a tiny bit and think we can see lots of detail ? Never once have I been able to see skin detail - why do they think we can see?? I don’t think she did this, thankfully.
Yes, Cody Jay did a video on businesses doing this paying $1 per so many views. BUT it means ppl do not do proper reviews they just make content to make it viral AND that means the company can use all your footage etc in their own campaigns etc and they have rights/ownership to it.
It's ABSOLUTELY wrong and is a stupid concept that will ruin REAL content creators, reviewers and influencers as they do ACTUAL reviews compare to anyone doing this trying to get paid for the video etc.

Not having tried either, based on the few reviews I've seen online the foundation finish looks similar to the KVD foundation balm. I'm sure the texture is very different though, just looks similar when applied.

I think the makeup has some cons but as a “mature” lady with dry skin, these products are good. Wouldn’t be good for textured skin. It actually wears well and never gets cakey and our 100+ temps this week have put it to the test. I don’t like the granular pieces in the foundation. You look gorgeous with the products!
You should do a video of de-potting eye shadow, as well making your own eye shadow colors, I would like to find a way of de-potting the buying the expensive z-potter or breaking the shadow.
The blush and the lip color are virtually invisible?
I think it looks better on younger skin than my old dried out skin. You did look pretty with it, but I don't 😊

Don't! It is NOT for oily skin at all! I used it once and want to return it. They refunded and told me to keep it so I may try it again in the cold winter. But not expecting it to be any better. "Glazed Doughnut" is a good description! 🤣
I love the line. It’s all I use now. But it may not be ideal for oily skin. My skin is old and dusty dry now so it’s perfection for me. She does give instructions for folks with oily skin though. 🤷🏼♀️

Honey u look like yourself......very healthy, dewy, rich, glowing skin. Its all you need for everyday. But your skin has oil so go without foundation.
I love the WTF Foundation. It looks beautiful on my mature skin. That is basically who this is for or younger people with dry skin.
Not impressed at all. Too much money for a glazed donut look. Stick with drugstore makeup. 💜
I like that the products are easy to use, to take with you all the day. The foundation is not for my skin type. The only product I don't like is the bronzer. Too sparkly and the using is too complicated.
i feel like if you are paying that much for products they should be very noticeable
way too many drugstore products that would do the same exact thing for way less money. I've seen several videos on this and just not impressed at all. I think it's just another fad or gimmick to sell products that exist at way cheaper prices. You’re soo cute - love your makeup application it’s very usable for everyone . But if I can recommend something to mattify your forehead even though I love the dewy look all over the rest of your face , the forehead shine it’s sooo shiny on camera . I can almost see the lighting outline you used lol . Not being mean - maybe it’s the Botox ? Sometimes it does that if you have recently had it done(I know that sounded like shade , but I don’t mean it to be - text is hard to translate emotions ) . But I love how you apply your makeup and the colors you chose . So naturally beautiful loved this review- but the price is just not it for me . But it looks great !

Thank you for this review. I ordered a set and some other items including the bronzer, concealer sticks … I found the make up to be very tacky and overall didn’t like it. They guaranteed satisfaction and so I tried to send it back but they wouldn’t allow me to return the set and charged me for it but the other items was non-returnable but refunded me the cost for it and told me to keep it which I thought was generous. Just not my kind of makeup although I love Bobby Browns previous line.
