In Malaysia, 285 out of 711 species in Peninsular Malaysia are migrants (40 per cent), and 224 out of 632 species are migrants in Bornean Malaysia (35 per cent).
Just over 800 species have been recorded in Malaysia in total (both residents and migrants)
Malaysia is one of the East Asian-Australasian Flyway countries, with millions of migratory birds crossing over on their way from Siberia to Australia, to overwinter.
Many of these birds depend on the coastal wetlands for food and shelter during their migration.
Most birds migrate through Malaysia after the breeding season at the end of July. This, Bakewell says, would reach its peak around September to October. By November, they would've reached their destination down south.
Then, during the Spring or North migration, they return to Malaysia around end-February right through the middle of May before heading back to their breeding grounds up north.
One of the most famous migrations on the Malaysian calendar occurs around March, at Tanjung Tuan Melaka where birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts gather at Cape Rachado to observe birds of prey or raptors fly across Pulau Rupat in Sumatera to mainland Malaysia.

Hi DanAnna, there are a lot of hiking trail in KL like bukit gasing, bukit kiara, ketumbar Hill, FRIM (incl 50m Canopy Walk, you can witness a Tropical Trees phenomenon =Crown Shyness) The Seri Bintang Trail, Bukit Wawasan, etc2, you should see whats the review of each trail, then select some or all , then make a top 5 of the trail, I guess the combination of nature & modern urban intrigue many people & aside exploring the urban segment of the city, exploring the nature segment would complete your visits to KL.

It is meant to prevent soil erosion. The pipes sticking out allow inner water to flow out of the soil, which otherwise it will cause the soil to hold the water till the top soil collapse.

Food recommendation from me, one that is easy to find.
Go search for the closest branch of Richiamo, and try: (1) Salted Egg Yolk Croissant. Croissant is French definitely, but the filling is Asian. (2) Nasi with Ikan Patin Lemak Tempoyak. It's not the best "Patin Tempoyak" you can get at a restaurant, but it's good enough. (3) Nasi Putih with "Thai Style Prawn". Not all branch have this. Just ask. And if they don't sell it, try the other menus.

Guys, whenever you see a "J" in Malay, it's always pronounced with the sound of J in the English word "jiggle" or the G in the English name "Geoffrey", rather than the English sound of Y.
I know that in Swedish, J sounds like English Y, like the Sweedish word "jord" is pronouned "yord".
And I know that the sound of English J is not present in Swedish language.
Maybe the closest approximation is tɕ like the Swedish word tjock.
