This was very Helpful!! Please make more videos mixing tracks with your creative and technical standpoint. Damn that Background vocal harmonies preset is nice. Please release to the public to download!🙏
Your mixing game is very good. I usually have a problem with my mid-range instruments(piano, pad, guitar, trumpets, etc) they usually sound low and even the wave looks very tiny not full...while drums and bass wave looks big..how do I solve that..?
Thanks Sean for another great video. Can you explain more in depth adding subtle flanger to the 'radio/telephone' effect on adlibs? Does it help to create more 'radio effect than just aggressive HPF and LPF only? Thanks for the reply
Another Jam. Skills! One day you will be shooting for the moon and please Sean don't be afraid if you miss, because you will be among those Stars ✨ When will new album come out? Or are you busy with other things at the moment? 😊 Coming from a 2pac fan lyrics are #1 for me and I can feel your lyrics in them songs and love it. God Bless You
Thank you so much for this. There’s so many ways to accomplish these ‘types’ of chain fx, I’m sure you can do similar with stock plug-ins. Yes you have to ‘subscribe’ to the Waves way of life which gets expensive lol. But I’ve been messing with studio rack and can confirm...it really works! Great video here (and ur channel). Big thumbs up from a sunny London :)
Hey bro I need your help I just got waves tune real time and it’s not working on my logic it’s not detecting my voice . Or showing anything when i sing ... btw love your vids been subscribed since 2018
Awesome man! Great videos!!!! Using the rack, do you add it to main vocal channel (mono-stereo) or add to a FX channel as (stereo) and run that output chain to that? What would you recommend for best performance when using the rack? (I use Cubase for my DAW) thanks in advance!
Just curious as to why you put the Desser last in the chain, rather than after Vocal Rider and before the Compressor? I thought you would want to tame the sibilant frequencies before compression? obviously I'm wrong.
Hi Sean, I attempted to load the StudioRack presets V1.25 into the V11 Studio rack but it seems it cannot load XPS files. I am running Studio One 4 on PC. Anywhere I can get some information to help get this working?
Amazing skills bro💯💯 just one question how can you have ro many busses and run the plugins on all of them at the same time? Like how much ram do you have or is it that you have a lot of audio hardware and it takes pressure off the computer? Thanks bro 🙏🏽🙏🏽
thanks Sike! Actually, routing them this way (vs. using inserts on every track) is much more efficient and most setups can handle it. I don't have the fastest computer in the world :) ruclips.net/video/TPVXAWt2TTY/видео.html
Hello friend, a question, if I have an instrument, for example a hi hat, panned to 30% left, and I send it to a Reverb, does it have to be a true mono reverb? And if so, do I pan the reverb to the 30% opposite side of the hi hat, to the same side, or left the reverb in the center?
Have you ever considered buying any waves grid system hardware? As I upgrade my studio I continue to look for a way to record and monitor each track in my daw in real time for my artists to have the most industry standard or professional experience as possible. I used to think the pro tools hardware like the hd or hdx rack was the way to go. Now with a lot of engineers just using waves would it make more sense to avoid pro tools hardware and just go for a waves sound grid system? Thanks
personally, I would go for the Waves hardware given that I use a lot of their plugins... that said, they're also some of the most efficient plugins so it just depends on how demanding your application is :)
@Sean Divine If your routing a vocal track through a bus to a vocal chain (vocal processing ) should your sends ( reverb , delay , parallel compression, etc. ) be on that vocal track or the vocal chain track ? or does it matter?
the bus with the processing should be sent to the return tracks. otherwise you will be sending a dry signal to the reverb, delay or p. compression u are doing.
sometimes i do the basic processing on the track, send it to to a bus and distort the vocals, but send the track signal (processed but withouth distortion) to the reverbs or delays, creates an interresting effect and u can use it manny ways, not onlye with distortion (have a pitched up vocal with normal pitch delays happening)
one last tip then, always send the last processed signal to the fx return unless you are looking for and specific effect. if u need any specifictips i can try to help, reach me on insta @bake.natan
Does your Divine Presets, and Mastering Templates work with Logic P X (10.5.1) and the new studio Rack? I want to make sure, before i purchase several of them.
Hello Sean.I think im in trouble.Every time i bounce a project in mp3 or wave form from Logic Pro X automatically sounds +8 db higher out of Logic. Do you have the same issue like me?Is there any explanation why this is happening?Anyone knows? Please help me.Thank you
Hey what's up sean...mastering question. Would anyone even care how perfect a song is mastered? I'm just watching out for the clipping....but the does great..to me.
was literally looking for mixing vids with wave plugins and now this is released today, this is a sign
at 17:47 when you hit the sweet spot of the blend I almost hit command S on my laptop lmaooo !!!

As a video editor whose worked on documentaries with little sound experience, you've saved my ass and made me a lot more useful on bigger projects
That's awesome, appreciate the feedback and glad to hear it's helped 😁🙌

awesome TJ 🙌
Just fantastic. love this tutorials
thanks Archive! 🙌
I like that!
Your mixing game is very good. I usually have a problem with my mid-range instruments(piano, pad, guitar, trumpets, etc) they usually sound low and even the wave looks very tiny not full...while drums and bass wave looks big..how do I solve that..?
Sounds like a simple case of gain staging. you can increase or decrease levels with clip / region gain, prior to processing
That typical music "stank face" at 21:29 lol
😆
🔥🙌
Thanks for sharing! I do plan to send you a mix from an EP I'm producing... just haven't decided which song yet.
This is great.. Thanks Sean

make sure to enable software / input monitoring and disable direct monitoring through your interface
Sean Divine okay I’ll try I’m on Logic 10.5.1 do you think it’s not working because I’am on Catalina ?

glad to hear it Adam, thanks :)
@Sean Divine
Can you make a video of you MIXING VOCALS ALONG WITH A TRACKED OUT STEMS ?
Thanks for reminding me of sidechain..
Hi Sean, what will be the plugins requirement for the version 4.
Just curious as to why you put the Desser last in the chain, rather than after Vocal Rider and before the Compressor? I thought you would want to tame the sibilant frequencies before compression? obviously I'm wrong.
no right or wrong, just personal preference - I'd suggest experimenting with different orders for different vocals and see what sounds best!
First!!! 🔛🔝
Can you do a video on how to use waves tune (not real time) on rap vocals
nice

great bro how to make internal side chain can u tell me that or suggest any of your video
it's controlled with the "SC" button at the top of the plugin window
@@SeanDivine ya bro i noticed but can u tell me abt it in next video

Cant find this template on your website "/
it's included in the StudioRack factory library. I also just released new presets for this version ruclips.net/video/S2oBiQAPZHU/видео.html :)
And do you have chain packs that's has plugins from the horizon bundle....their the ones i only mainly touch
Is there a reason you put the De-esser at last?
I prefer it in that case with the Waves Deesser... I don't always have it last though, just depends on the vocal!
Thx bro I really enjoyed and learned from this tutorial! 🔥🔥🔥👍💯
Glad to hear it!

Does your Divine Presets, and Mastering Templates work with Logic P X (10.5.1) and the new studio Rack? I want to make sure, before i purchase several of them.
Yes and yes
Should vocal rider always be first in the chain if your going to use it?
Typically yes, the same way as volume automation... no rules in mixing tho :)
Sean Divine thanks!

turn off normalize in the export options and make sure you haven't accidently turned up the master fader
Hey what's up sean...mastering question. Would anyone even care how perfect a song is mastered? I'm just watching out for the clipping....but the does great..to me.
The key to a great master is to gain stage your mix and have headroom to be able to do the final touches in the master. 😊
Do most music engineers mix with headphones? I thought i was the only one lol
I wouldn't say most, it's certainly possible tho :)
Sean, what software do you use to screen record your logic sessions with stereo sound while recording yourself with a camera? Thanks!!
I'm pretty sure he is using Quick time :)
Sir i cant see the any effect of your waves. Can you make another video rnb vocals using waves version9? Pls pls pls pls pls pls pls...
