Thank goodness you smelled something. The same thing happened to my sister. She put the dishwasher on, got ready to leave the house, forgot her shopping list and went back to the kitchen to see fire coming out of the dishwasher. I never leave the house or goto bed with the washing machine, dryer or dishwasher on anymore. I enjoyed the squash canning.I freeze zucchini cooked and uncooked but it's always too soft. Have a safe trip.

I make a paste with bentonite clay and water and but that on bites. It drawls the poison to the surface and takes away swelling and pain and itching. Be safe on your travels and hope they have fun at camp. God was definitely looking at for you. Glad you caught it. God bless you all.

Sorry to hear about the dish washer as there essential to have working right. Congratulations Aaden on getting your drivers license. A tip I have is to always keep a eye out on the front wheels of a vehicle next to you. I have stopped many people from side swiping me that way. People don't pay attention to their driving. Watering is so much work and so much time! This year we are putting a water system in the orchard to help with save some time... each year I try to budget a water system for an area

I recently had a similar situation. I kept smelling electrical burning and wasn't sure where it was. Figured out it was in our bedroom. It was the ceiling fan. Hubby took it down and the motor was burning and causing a smoke haze in the room. Thank goodness it didn't catch on fire up in the attack area or inside the ceiling itself. Could of been a bad situation while we were sleeping or away from home.

Glad you found the problem! I sure hope you have smoke detectors within 10 feet of the bedroom doors and one in each bedroom. I would recommend dual chamber detectors with both ionization and photoelectric to cover for open flame fires and slow smoldering fires.
We do have alarms on designated areas

NEVER run your dishwasher at night or while you are gone. Back in the 90s, one of the companies had to pay families who lost loved ones from faulty dishwashers. We had a local elderly couple who died in their sleep; the house filled with smoke, no fire. Many homes have burned to the ground from dryers running at night, also. I used to do that. Glad you're all okay. This is a good warning for everyone.

Praise be to God for protecting your family from what could have been a horrible fire. Thank goodness he put you in the right place at the right time. For safety reasons just like what happened to you I never run any appliances while I'm sleeping or away from home. I'm scared to death of a fire 🔥🚒 You just don't ever know when something may go wrong.
I was watching Romeo. He looks like he's been trained very well and he listens to you. Not a moment of hesitation when you told him to lay down. He got his job done and was very prepared for it. Great investment for your money! Between him and Juliette things will be easier on you and Colby.

Wow I just washed up a person take those sprinkler heads apart that because the government puts parts in them so you don't use as much water I wish I could remember what video it was but he took the whole thing apart inside it two different spots it had a small ring that made the whole smaller so it wouldn't shoot as far and go through as much water plus he took the spring off so it wouldn't go one way and it come all the way back real fast and then go back the other way instead it just went around nice and slowly all the way around instead of shooting back to the other side imagine if you Googled about those sprinkler heads you'd find that video and it shot a long ways

OMG, God was really watchin over you last night! You will probably need some of those human dishwashers in the kitchen till y'all get a new one. Y'all could look into drip tape costs. It would save time and water because you put the water directly where you need it and you will use so much less water. Peace and blessing y'all take care this summer and be safe! Steven

Ooh Misty could you share the salve recipe you used? And i heard you say you also used castor oil, comfrey and something else... I always wonder about that myself, if i should stick to only one remedy or if i should throw everything and the kitchen sink at different issues... Do you have a system or internal decision tree for example to decide what to use for each ailment? I would love to just hear the inner working of your brain on such issues. So glad the spider bite is not a bigger problem!

I just got some organic potatoes and sweet potatoes because I want to try to grow some. What is the best way to get them to grow slips so I can plant them? Here in Michigan ,my window of opportunity is small, so I need to get them to grow as quick as possible so I can plant them. Thanks for any help you can give! Love & blessings to your family!

You can either place your sweet potatoes in a warm window or place the potato in toothpicks in water
