Great story, I do enjoy a good fishing yarn. Funny how this video showed up in my feed. I grew up in Oklahoma (1955-1984) in a fishing family, it was what we did and we fished all the big lakes and rivers since I was knee high to a grasshopper, including Texoma and the Red River. I got a few yarns of my own, although not as big as yours. I moved to Colorado and live there still, but I'm here in Tulsa visiting my 94-year old mother and your video pops up. It's like youtube knows everything about us, and brought us together here. You inspired me to hit one of my favorite holes on the Neosho river in a couple days, been fishing there for over 50 years. It's definitely a different world than the high mountain trout streams I fish back in Colorado. But I can relate to a lot of the things you said that have nothing to do with fishing, just with life in general. And that's part of fishing too. Anyway congrats on the big blue, I wish you well and if I ever see you out there I'll come chat with you. Thanks and take care out there.
I am really glad you found my channel. I have gotten to fish a few times in some mountain streams in Colorado and it is a different world, but it's all the same kind of escape from life. I am sure you have some good tales and memories from your time growing up here. I hope you get to get back out on the river while you're here and relive some of them!
There ya go, being all human and stuff again 😂 I enjoy all your content and it certainly doesn't all have to pertain to fishing. We all have stories, heartbreaks and regret yet, having an audience that actually cares ? Especially in today's world is the exception. However, this is where it starts my friend, exactly as you have been doing. I traveled halfway across the country to get my PB Blue. Don't have em on the other side of the Rockies. But we do have big Flatheads. Your chase is triple digit, mine is far more modest, I'd be very happy with a 50lb. No guides, just grinding on my own knowledge. Got here in Oct, staying til Dec.. Lake been rising, bite is definitely better. Keep on and stay safe 🙏
I really appreciate comments like this. I was a little nervous putting this one out today. This youtube thing has been a grind, which I knew it would be, but still. And comments like this, or what will keep me going. Same thing with your goal of a fifty plus. If you do the grind it'll happen. I'm rooting for you.

Here is to writing new chapters in our Catfishing Adventures!
Hundred pound club is right around the corner!
I think the chapters we are writing right now are definitely some of our best my friend.
Always enjoy your videos!!
Thank you. I appreciate you watching.
Thanks for taking us along on a historic night!!
My pleasure. It was a crazy night indeed. 20 years later and a lot of still just seems kinda surreal.
Wow, what a cool story! I cant believe it lived. I love putting my trophy fish back in the waters. Not that I have any like that.
Thanks for sharing your great story.
Thanks for watching, I was little nervous sharing that part of the story but I think it needed to be told.
