@@truthsalva6855 And all they have got to say is evasive, vague platitudes that don't adress the problem at hand. They were utterly useles to Aang. It's almost as if the creators decided that the whole past lives thing that can give the Avatar easy access to all the answers was a bad idea and got rid of it when an opportunity presented itself.
A recurring theme in the Avatar universe is the Avatar rectifying some kind of mistake his or her predecessor made - Roku couldn't stop the fire nation while Aang did, and Korra indirectly brought back Airbending to the world. My guess is Korra's successor will restore the Avatar connection. I hope we get an emotional scene with maybe an elderly Jinora or even Meelo meeting Korra's successor similar to how Toph met Korra for the first time. It will certainly be as emotional! EDIT: Since Korra will initially be the only Avatar the new Avatar can communicate with, I remember Korra in one of the comics making a journal for her successor about the past Avatars. But I hope Korra remains a central character as the new Avatars mentor.
I can’t believe the fact that people accepted the fact that the past lives are gone. I’m not over it and never will be becuase it was a stupid descion by the writers to think “it’s about the future “ and “let korra decide her destiny” bullshit. Did aang need to rid of his past lives to solidify his legacy? He was a part of a future generation that built republic city. Now korra is supposedly part of newer generation that wants to forget the past and ends up repeating the same thing her previous incarnations went through. The writers really didn’t think this through and didn’t realize that erasing the past Doesn’t mean a promised future. I’m not trying to convince anyone of anything but this is a fact.
If korra's successor brings back the avatar connection, I personally want kyoshi to make another appearance, I think that if the new avatar met kyoshi, it'd be a good chance for her to teach them about how your decisions affect others
If the new earthbending avatar does reconnect the spiritual connection of his past lives. I do believe that Kyoshi would make an appearance just because she was the previous earth bending avatar. So I would be very much excited to see that aswell :)
I Hope they somehow bring the connection back cause I feel like Korra really screwed the future generations on that one. I guess she had little choice but the sheer amount of knowledge lost when she did that is just heartbreaking.
@@Fictioncrazed Not to mention there's already a canon way to reconnect with the past Avatars when the connection is severed post-Raava death. When Aang was briefly killed in the Avatar State, he lost all connection to past lives and had to go on a Spirit World journey to re-establish that connection. He had to find the previous four Avatars in the Spirit World and connect with them. I don't see a difference between Raava being killed and Raava being killed. She just got pulled out of Korra and killed instead of being killed while inside Korra. Yes they weren't bonded, but the Avatar Spirit was still killed in both instances. Since Korra's loss of the Avatar Spirit was more severe than Aang's, I imagine she'd have to hunt down more than just four Avatars, but I don't see why the same method can't work. Like, Raava is what connects the Avatars' spirits, and she never truly dies so why does that have to mean that those connections are *permanently* severed, if she just regrows inside Vaatu? She still has her memories and everything. She literally just respawns. Surely, Raava can just inform Korra about how Aang brought his past lives back after her "first death"?
@@thiscat9712 not really it will come fast we already like in the 4 month into this year and also next year we getting a movie for the avatar so yeah we have n we should be getting new on that most likely ever month or two so yeah then 3 years a other movie so we good for like 5 years
A series of the old avatars would be better than a new avatar in 2023 in my opinion. That old time style that shows ancient chinese, and indian culture are what made Avatar the last airbender so good and nostaligic.
I agree!! The original avatar is so soothing and beautiful, it's very nostalgic. I didn't even like how modern it was in Korra's time line. It made me kind of sad. Real life is already constantly evolving and becoming more and more advanced, I think ancient times are much more interesting. I also miss all the filler episodes. I love Korra but it also was just so stressful
Same in atla everything was traditional and it felt like an unreal adventure but in korra it became more modern and made it feel like we lost the essence of the fantasy world in atla plus the scenes in korra always looked so dull
Only thing though is that bending will be a lot less interesting… remember that in the original Avatar show, metal bending was invented, blood bending was invented within that generation, lightning was only recently conquered, the bending in the show would be a LOT more basic and you can only do so much with the basic elements
@@Goofy_edits2639 Honestly a big part of why Korra lost that 'unreal adventure' was because of how even though it also had three books, it had less than half the episodes of AtLA. This lead to less character development and a much more focused Plot-Driven adventure, no time to go Penguin Sledding, no time to let major events actually sink in (losing all bending but Airbending should have been an episode its self, recovering in the end of the 2nd episode, not... bam-fix at the end of the episode), and so on. c.c
Who knows? Maybe the next Avatar will be able to find a way so that they can restore the spiritual connection with the former Avatars. Since the next Avatar series, according to a Tweet, is going to be set in a cyberpunk-esque world, where the flight through Airbending is commonplace and the Energybending is widely used (in ways that are similar to how Ki is used in “Dragon Ball Z”), it would be very interesting to see the main protagonist trying to find their own place in the world, while discovering their past lives. Besides, Korra should be able to rise to her role as the mentor of her successor, thanks to her development as a character and her experiences.
One of the themes I noticed in the franchise, is how each Avatar has completed their predecessors unfulfilled goal. Aang ended the Fire Nation’s expansionism while Roku couldn’t Korra restored Airbending to the world which was Aang’s deepest wish Perhaps Korra’s successor reconnects to the past lives of the old Avatar Cycle
I honestly hope they don't go the dragon ball route of floating people shooting bigger and bigger lasers at each other, it shouldn't be that way for a power system as good as bending... And personally I think Kora should just stay as words on paper or tales from a family member like Aang, she's had her show and now it's time for the next one
i could see it happening. i feel like it shouldn't be a "one and done" event that allows them to regain all connection, but rather a gradual thing where they have to connect to each past life individually
I hope we get to see more of Korra’s lifetime. I want to see where she is at later in her life and how her and Asami develop. I also really liked the steampunk vibe that all of the tech had in LOK. I hope we still see some of that in the new series.
Exactly! I don't want to troll or anything, but how come a nonbender does not want to wear two electrified gloves? It's only Hiroshi Sato but no one else? I am hoping that Avatar Korrra's time, inventors would upgrade Asami's gloves to shoot electro bolts or repulsor rays like Iron Man.
6:40-6:46 funniest part of the video "He didn't even include anything for the next Avatar...I-I don't know why Korra would include this" That's Zuko for ya though even as an old man who's a few years away from being with Iroh again (crossing over into the spirit world and not coming back i.e. death).
Speaking of pro-bending I wonder if air bending will be introduced into the sport as the air-nation rebuilds. I imagine that the rules would have to be shifted a little bit a properly trained air-bender would be one of the most frustrating opponents to fight because of their philosophy of dodging and constant movement, as shown when Korra first incorporates air-bending philosophy in her match.
I tend to wonder about that too, and it could be the means for an airbender that chose not to follow the air nomad lifestyle to practice there bending.
imho it would be better to leave air out of the pro bending league it's a little op and hard to dodge since you can't see nothing. EDIT: Unless you weaken it so you don't blow the entire team off the stage at once of course
@@-Tekuo- unless they delegate air bending to a team support element, and it's barred from opponent contact. Sort of like a "goalie" preventing team members from being knocked off, etc
@@tgr3423 that’s smart but could also still be a normal member because all elements are merged in pro bending fire bending no streams or large bursts water no ice or streams and earth only disk maybe air can only be gusts
@@-Tekuo-I’ve read a book once, where when they would train children in magic, they would first try to see what magic type comes easier to the kid. They used colored sand to be able to see the air. Maybe pro bending would use something like that when so you could see the air bending?
As much as it’s sad to see not as much Korra anymore, change is good 😊. I am excited for the new avatar series and I am excited for the new avatar to be connected with Korra, we we will see a lot of Korra scenes!
Yeah I know but the last air bender was better and me personally almost cried thinking that we won't see aang anymore since in Korea he was able to come bc he had helped her just like roku had done for him but now korra will be the one to help the next which is sad we won't see aang anymore sadly :(((😢😢
Given the advancement of technology it would be interesting to see bending (and the avatar to a lesser extent) become obsolete in the next avatar's era; a unique take on things with unique challenges that we haven't seen yet.
Or they learn how to bend technology since technology and other artificial thing are part of the world and nature now like in real life. The spirits could be effected by technology as well possessing it and or being influenced by it.
Maybe Korra could learn as much as she could about her past lives through historical records and so on, so that she can bear witness to their lived experiences as the Avatar for her future incarnations.
I’ve been saying something similar. She should also learn as much sub bending as possible. She should learn lightning and redirection from Mako, Lavabending from Bolin etc.
She will still be there 😊. The new earth avatar will be able to talk to Korra just like Aang was able to talk to his pasts. Yes, the next avatar will just have Korra to talk to but Korra carry the knowledge from past avatars. Korra will still very much be in the new avatars life a lot!
@@korrawatertribe687 did you even watch the video? the light spirit got severed so there aren't any more avatar spirit links so she has to write a book about it

An earthbender avatar should pick up metalbending fairly quick, which is very lucky for a cyberpunk environment. I bet controlling metal in a world full of guns and cyborgs will come in handy. Imagine how fucked a waterbender avatar would be 🤣
I hope it's not going to be standart cyberpunk, but stylized cyberpunk where the tech makes sense to have developed. Similar to how it made some vague sense that the tech invented during ATLA became more widespread, refined and sophisticated between then and LOK. I don't want a "Varrick Comunicator" be a smartphone by a different name, but it's own thing that does some stuff a smartphone does, but not everything, and may even do a few things smartphones don't.
I wanna see the next avatar after korra struggles with water bending same with korra when she struggles with air bending and with Aang when he struggled with earth bending
Writing a manual to the next avatar is actually a fucking great idea and I can't remember any of them doing it before. How come no one thought of that before? At least one to help them connect with them in the spirit world, although more information is to be thankful as these freaking avatars like to speak in riddles in the spirit world anyway.
I think it was part of Avatar traning. When you connect with the spirt world then all knowlage of past avatars are yours. It's like first step you need to take as Avatar.
If what made Korra the Avatar was completely erased when Raava was reduced to dust, after Wan went poof, and the new Raava that reconnected with her was an entirely new Raava, how come Korra could still bend all 4 elements after that? Bending came from the Giant Turtles, and neither Korra nor new Raava ever met one of those.
@Purple Citrine it proves that there's still somewhat of a connection between the Avatars of old and Korra after. Otherwise, all Korra could hope for would be waterbending, as a member of the southern water tribe, having a turtle connection from there. But while without Raava, she had no Bending at all, and Unalaq as the Dark Avatar could only do spirit bending, something he could do before. The so-called reset of the Avatar didn't break the cycle or made way for non-bender-avatars. It merely made Korra more aware of how being the Avatar works, at the cost of not being able to talk to former Avatars anymore, who were probably only memories from her past lives anyway. My guess is that subconsciously, something else was going on than what Korra consciously witnessed. Neither were the past Avatars erased fully, nor the connection to them severed fully. It's how the connection is perceived and interpreted that changed. Something future Avatars could change again, strengthening the connection, reestablishing it, on the conscious level. Key word is could, not will.
Personally, I like Aang way better and his storyline (to me) is unmatched! Currently reading the kyoshi book now, I've been watching Korra again, too... I think it was an amazing idea for korra to write to the next Avatar. I'm hoping he can somehow reconnect to the past lives! I was in tears when korra lost them all on the show! Ugh, I love aang, kuruk, kyoshi, and roku. I'm also really really REALLY happy that in Korra, they explained the very FIRST avatar: wan. I want to know more about yangchen, solai, etc. I know bit and pieces about yangchen, but she isn't my favorite from everything I've read/watch regarding her. I'm sure opinions will change if (or when) they make a book about her. Or at least give her an episode on this new avatar series...if it becomes a series. GUYS! What if this new avatar gets a series! What if he somehow reconnects to his previous lives, and a handful of avatars get an episode explaining their lives?? It would make sense so he can connect to them better and actually know about their pasts. Well, his past, I should say. THAT WOULD BE SO DOPE.
Korra likely included as much info as she could, to be sure the next avatar has ideas and answers that even if it doesn't seem important at the time, may be beneficial in the future. People can learn a lot of different things from past stories/letters.
I really do want more avatar Korra , i will miss her as i missed Aang's gang ;-; , i loved Korra's positivity and how she just was , it was a nice show even if with not the best pacing or writting , i still loved some of it a dear lot 💙💙💙💜💜💜
I like korra as a character but what they did to her by losing the past lives was just nonsense. Feel free to disagree but the whole “it about the future” nonsense is just cyclical bullshit. By getting rid of the past lives how will they know the same conflicts that are happening today didn’t happen in the past? You think you are going to the future but you are actually repeating the same thing from the past. That might not make people understand why I’m saying the writers ditched the previous avatars but they weren’t a burden for korra. It could have been up to her to decide whether she took their advice or not, not just completely wipe them away.
I know why she included the zuko letter iroh literally said “visit me again in this life or the next one” so confirmed we Will absolutely be seeing him again
While ill always have a place for Aang, The Legend of Korra was my favorite Avatar series and it ended way too soon. I wish they would pick and continue the show.
Being in Cyberpunk era... i think one of the 1st few struggles of the new avatar would be how to stay still and connect with the spirit. Just like us irl, the world is so noisy with all the social media and stuff. I bet the next avatar will have an even noisier world.
I bet that the next Avatar will be living in a world similar to the actual era, our era. And the next Avatar, a Fire Nation one, will live in a futurist era, since the Fire Nation is related to industrial and technological advance.
I know Korra's connection with the past avatars got severed but I've always wondered why the idea that Korra could speak with Aang during the solstices (like how Aang communicated with Roku during the winter solstice)was never explored especially since Aang memorial was in Republic City 🤔🤔🤔
Because the creators do not like the idea of infinite fonts of past wisdom being freely abailable to the protagonists. It worked in AtLA because of Aang's limitations, but once the avatar-verse got bigger this became a huge story killer that needed to be written around.
The solstice thing is just an enhanced connection to the spirit world, like the worlds are at their closest point so they can comunicate without being in the spirit world. That was important because they previously couldnt go in the spirit portals and it seems different avatars are more or less spiritual so it doesmt seem common to be able to meditate into the spirit world, so again they need a way to contact part lives with a strong connection. Sooo with korras connection to oast avatars severed, the solctice has no effevt on that, like a cell phone signal, you can have a great signal but if the number isnt there it just isnt there.
Seeing as she messed it up for all future avatars by making it impossible to contacting the other past lives she really has no choice but to do more than any other to give future avatars as much help as possible.
My friend also hates Korra's era because he hates Korra's immaturity and rashness. BUT I f*cking love it dude! Like, when I was watching Aang's, it just felt "okay". But when I watched Korra's, I felt all kinds of emotions and I'm constantly on the edge of my seat. Like, Korra's adventures are harsher and harder than Aang's (for me) and that's what make it exciting! I also love the fact that her era explained what and where the Avatar came from, which made it a complete package, and it served more than enough!
Yes I love korra to, every one thinks that character development is a big show case where it’s basically shoved in ur face and screamed at u and I love zukos development but it’s very well he’s obviously going to turn good, but with korra it’s shuttle and small things , she was a sheltered person so she didn’t get to experience the journey to find Masters properly world trip give them money values to learn but she didn’t get that until later, that’s why I like the idea of them, knowing where the avatar until they are 16 (12 but aang was new his values and being the avatar added to his personality, because korra knew when she was very young, she built her personality about being the avatar , once again that changes throughout the sessions , but I love the contrast to her from the beginning to the end as in the first season when she was fighting the northern water councilman when he seemed to be out of bending ( as she didn’t know anything the blood bending) she was going for the kill , contrast that to her battle with kuvira she didn’t want to fight at all and wanted to try and reason with her as she saw a lot of her younger self in Kuvira
@@garethhughes7430 not all the first 3 were after her cause she was the avatar, b1 was a follow up from an issue from aangs time , showing us that his resolve wasn’t alway best just like Roku , as he blames his self that aang had to deal with the fallout of his battels , the same can now be said for aang to korra , then the other 2 just wanted the avatar in general but it did affect the world as it would change it dramatically , like no more bending , the spirit would now can be accessed , only b4 was more personal as kuvira wasn’t after korra initially it was just she stood with the ppl she was against and then it came more about korra than the avatar as they are mirrors of each other
@Millie Boon @Millie Boon Yeah, Amon was a leftover, but he was essentially just a single charismatic criminal, not the leader of an entire nation. Season 2 was all about Korras Uncle, and if that isn't personal, what is? And it was a direct attack on the avatar, not really much about the rest of the world, and they made spirits so much goofier that it didn't feel like the consequences were much more than emotional for Korra. Again, not saying its worse, I'm saying it's much more PERSONAL than aangs journey. Which fits, because Aang is a child's first learning of complex issues, and Korra is a teenager, learning to control her emotions and become who she should be. The black lotus are targeting Korra specifically, no real plans for taking over the world just removing some leaders, and Kuvira is only trying to help her country, not, again, take over the world. Aangs life were big flashy stakes and a simple but powerful emotional journey. Korras are as important, but more private, more emotional, and much more philosophical. Also probably because Aang was raised philosophical, so didn't need to learn it to grow, whereas Korra was raised violent, and had to face enemies she couldn't just punch.
i was just thinking about this honestly i saw a tiktok that said each avatar is meant to right the wrongs the last avatar made so what if the next one restores the past lives and spirit connection
Mako and Bolin in their police uniforms hanging around and smiling in that photo looks so cool, especially when seeing what they went through as kids and how they turned their life around by distancing themselves from the organized crime they were pushed into to as poor/destitute kids that grew up in a rough neighborhood.
Although I like TLA more than Korra, I still find Korra quite enjoyable. Whereas TLA was the story of a boy who had to save the world from basically scratch, the story of Korra was of a girl who was naive and thought herself invincible, reminds me of me in my teens, and realized that the world was more unforgiving. Korra, like Aang and many Avatars, had to fix what her predecessor had basically created. Kyoshi fixed Kuruk’s neglect of the world while looking for his wife, Roku probably had to fix Kyoshi’s mistakes, Aang had to stop the fire nation from Roku’s inability to sense his friends plans, and Korra had to fix Aang’s inability of create a stable peace between nations. I believe that the next avatar will probably have to fix something that Korra neglected as the previous avatar’s did. From what we have seen from of the previous avatar’s we can probably infer that the next Avatar will be affected by his birth element. His story will probably include some element of hardheadedness, stoicism, and his ability to be unmoving like earth. I truly believe that he will reconnect and restore the connection that was broken by Korra. A lot of people argue about which avatar was better, but we have to understand that each avatar is a product of their era. Aang’s mission was rather straightforward and Korra’s took many turns especially as technology got more advanced. We’ll probably see how the new avatar has to basically figure how to make the Human/Spirit relations work just as Korra had to figure out how to help the Nations work together in the world created by Aang. At the same time TLA supporters have to stop egging the Korra supporters and the Korra supporters have to stop saying things like “You don’t like her because she’s LGBTQ!” or “you don’t like her because she’s a girl!”. Like holy shit every time I see an argument in turns in the TLA supporters cussing out the other person and the Korra supporters bringing up Gender, or Sexual orientation. It’s a fucking kids show with some semblance of adult themes.
A channel was working on The Legend of Genji, a popular fan idea for the next avatar. But then it came out that Nickelodeon released something about the next avatar. Unfortunately this meant they cut the project. It was really sad.
szeto lived in a time where the fire nation was greatly poor and instead of fulfilling his duties as an avatar he focused on the fire nation, yangchen had to deal with the problems in the rest of the world but failed to appease the spirits, kuruk wasnt attentive as an avatar and koh the face stealer stole his wife's face because of yangchens failure, kyoshi had a bunch of problems to deal with because kuruk didnt do anything, roku had to deal with a world in which the fire nation was too powerful and the other nations were suffering because kyoshi didnt stop chen the conquerer sooner, aang had to deal with the war roku failed to stop, korra had to restore and guard the air nation, and so the earth avatar will have to restore the connection to his previous lives
To defend kuruk, he didn’t do his duties in the physical world but he did do a lot in the spirit world , he stopped dark spirits from escaping to the physical world and that’s why koh stole the face of the woman he loves
I recently watched Korra and read some discussions how Korra will never know how Aang took Ozai's bending when the cycle was broken. I wondered if the past Avatars kept a record or something like what Korra is doing now.
I hope that they'll get their past selves back. Maybe the white lotus has trouble finding them, but eventually they find them and realise that they pick the same toys as the previous avatars. Showing that somehow their past lives are still in there. Maybe they need to physically connect to their past lives, like Aang on crescent island with Roku or how Aang had to dress up as Kyoshi to contact her. But different of course so it doesn't feel repetitive. Maybe the letters will even help...
I always thought thier spirits would still be in the sprit world, just not able to connect to rava. So they would have to be found and brought to reconnect with rava.
I can only hope the Earth Avatar learns from Korra's mistakes and fixes the missing connection to all her predecessors The cyberpunk setting is interesting, i was hoping it would be like in The Legend Of Genji which isn't exactly cyberpunk but far more advanced than in LOK, probably around the 50s of our time. I'm just a little worried, LOK brought a lot of fresh air into the show like powered mechs and spiritual energy beams. I don't want it to get too advanced and have the avatar need to bend nukes or whatever i don't know, the show is still in early stages.
I know most people disagree but the legend of Korra is my favorite show...I mean I agree that the way she used the avatar state all the time was wrong, but that tiny thing didn't take me away from the rest of the cool things.😁I'll miss her so much 😞
@@michaeltaylor788 I hated her for long time but after to see the series and take atention of every chapter, I understand her better, she is actually a good character, I won't denny that in some chapters she acts like an estupid, especially in book 2 but is understable, She was lost.
Aside from Korra, who was the worst character in the series, the supportive characters were good. She should have been in a wheelhair from season one and no one heard of her again for the rest of the series. The series would have been so much more interesting. They should have replaced her Tenzin.

I just don’t want to have to think about Korea being dead in order to guide the next avatar. Just like how we had to deal with the idea that most of the gaang was also dead, or not yet confirmed alive. I’ll be tear-bending when I see it on screen for the first time
I wish we were getting more information about the next Avatar. Heck, I wish we had more for all Avatar stuff. Like the Netflix series for example. When will it be released?!
Honestly I think they messed up with Whole character development of the korra series. She starts out as a little Baby kid already mastering 3 elements. She's only avatar to have mastered the avatar state, She still gets her a** kicked by Villains that don't really make any sense. Background for Cora was awesome. But most of the characters are not well developed and thought out. I thought the 1st season was pretty good but after that it just started going down hill.
@@kerimbabic6124 That's even worst it ruined the children's cartoon with added confusion. Kora sucked the whole series. When Tof said she was the worst Avatar ever she didn't lie!!!!
I think of it as starting over. As Wan was the first avatar, the second avatar could only speak with him. Now Korra is the "new first" avatar and I believe the cycle with just start over.
Toph was right she is the worst Avatar in the history of Avatars. Roku died okay his friend left him in a smoke of a volcano to die I think yall forgot that and besides he tried to stop his friend by giving him a warning don't be out here saying that Roku failed he tried and couldn't so it became Aang's responsibility and because he left his home and went in the Iceberg obviously not everything Aang did could be fixed in time because of his body's environment
That would be cool if the new Avatar or the Earthbenders after Korra's time will learn more about Platinum Bending. Aside from that, and I don't want to troll or anything, but how come a nonbender does not try to wear two electrified gloves? We see Hiroshi Sato wearing, but no one else? In addition, I am hoping that in the new Avatar's time, the inventors would upgrade the electrified gloves to shoot electro bolts or repulsor rays like Iron Man. How come no one has ever thought of that too? Also, I wouldn't mind if the next subelement for Air is Soundbending. I can't wait to see how they expand more on Energybending
The only way Korra could help the new avatar, is if the new avatar has no connection with her. Seriously do you remember her taking a logical decision in 4 seasons?
I wish we could let this noble franchise rest in peace instead of allowing people to canonize stories inspired by a clear interesti in paychecks alas the name of their studio LITERALLY being Avatar Studio AKA the place devoted to pumping Avatar content on Nicks command whenever it desires. Avatar was phenomenal becuase it knew it would tell its story in 3 seasons and so it has, leaving much else to the imagination. We already knew what happened before Aang and now we know what happened after. While Korra introduced us to some novel concepts and a fresh new setting it dimistified and kind of rolled over the first series and paved a way many of us did not like. There really is no reason to beleive any other Avatar series is going to be as good as Korra and much less Aang, so whats the rush? Another obvious or plainly hidden villain plots to do some sort of conquering or wiping in the avatar world, and the young unlikley hero will band with a group of cool guy and gals to stop him while he or shes learning to be the avatar, set in a world that is advanced or older than what real world inspiration allows us to make
How is Korra supposed to help the new Avatar? Didn't she get absolutely bodied by every major villain. Literally, her only "accomplishment" is that she "restored" the air normads, which wasn't even something she intended it was just a by product of her fighting Ravi. The new Avatar literally has to start by cleaning up her mess LMFAO.
I really hope the next Avatar series is not set in a Cyberpunk world. Korra's series was based on the 20s with a steampunk aspect; going from that to cyberpunk would feel very weird. It would be a jump of over 100 years at least which would only make sense if it's multiple Avatars in the future or if there's something weird going on. I guess they could do something where it takes 100 years for the Avatar to be reborn due to the cycle being broken. Personally, I think the world should progress slower than it did in ours so it's not as jarring. I thought TLoK was fine but I don't want the next Avatar series to feel modern or futuristic. Even the mechas in TLoK were too much IMO. Don't get me wrong, I love sci-fi and cyberpunk, but Avatar is a fantasy. The series has a lot of wiggle room just with that since there are a lot of fantasy subgenres. I am curious how bending would stay relevant as technology progresses. I'm not completely opposed to it, I'm just cautious that the franchise will move too quickly. There are so many time periods that an Avatar series would be set in. But, at the same time, it could become difficult to create new threats for each Avatar. Maybe we'll get an earthbender and firebender Avatar but then the next airbender will be the last Avatar (Avatar: The Next Airbender) cause the world no longer needs the Avatar. For the series to go on for multiple Avatar cycles, they would need to add some new twists. End Note: I wanna see an Avatar channel Aang how Aang was able to channel Roku and Kyoshi. Of course, they would need to bring back the Avatar's connection to their past lives.
Honestly the only things I would say are missing but this is a Korra thing. She never really thinks ahead. It probably would’ve been nice to include just a little about Aang, Roku, and even maybe Kioshi. Only because then you could give history and an avatar from each nation. Which could’ve massively helped. But you know Korra never was one to think ahead.
This sucks all ready. Leaving notes behind rather than showing how come no one’s able to access the spiritual realm until Ang’s granddaughter came too and not really showing how she was able to clearly… legend of Korea is GAY. Literally.. this series sucks, and the next is going to be as bad because the original creators evidently have given up.. I don’t blame them.
Korra's writing is an abomination. She doesn't even speak like that. "...stealing anon to Republic City" what is this, FFXIV? Is Korra a Leveilleur now? I can't tell if this was just trolling from the actual person who wrote the letter but damn, way to write like you're someone else narrating Korra's story, as if that person has no actual first-hand clue what happened.
Korra is the worst Avatar who messed up everything because. Her self-pity, and feeling sorry for herself throughout the whole series sucks. I hated her character development.
I want the new avatar to have every bending ability every sun bending skill energy bending the powers dark avatar unavaatu demonstrated spirit based powers and more
I tried to like her series, it wasn't terrible but I did/do hate the state it left the franchise in. It's like Ben 10 being told he has access to over a million aliens, and then getting stuck with a watch that only allows him to use 10 forever. I'm not hyped for whatever comes next
NOOOOOO! They've announced the next avatar after Korra?!? I've been working on my idea for the earth avatar for like seven years! Now its not going to be a possibility! STINK!!!!
I remember hearing a rumor maybe 2 years after Korra ended. rumored said the planned next series would feature a first in the line of avatar. there isnt one avatar. but two. twins
I still dont understand whats wrong with the legend of korra? I just watched it, without watching the last airbender, and it seems fine. She does seem a bit too rash, but still?
@@I.PAddress it is lore breaking. The avatar dying means they lose the avatar state and the cycle ends. They ignored all of that, and only had her lose the memories of her past lives. On top of reworking the origins of bending established in atlab, where certain animals developed bending and humans learned from them, to turtles granting bending to humans in the Spirit world before being kicked out. It also took an avatar only ability, to remove a person's bending, a spiritual feat, and made gloves to do it. And on top of all of that retrofitting, they made an unlikeable character as the lead. There is a reason we never got another series, and it was their poor character choices and lore revisions with Korra.
I’m sorry but destroying the avatar connection ruined the show for me and I could not get past my hatred for Kora after that, I watched all of it and she never got more likable. If they progress forward and the next avatar doesn’t restore the connection then I’m out entirely. Really they need to do past avatars, that’s so much more interesting than the spirit world open without the avatar connection. It’s so much easier to get immersed in a world that isn’t so close to current times. the next avatar would be from our generation or very close and I just don’t care about progressing further unless they repent for their mistakes and make it a good show again.
you know what I didnt hear people theorizing about? Having two avatars at the same time. because essentially korra is cut off from the avatar line, making her not a reincarnation anymore. So technically there could be a "new" avatar while she is still alive. Because a time skip wouldnt be good rn considering current story plays in the 19th century meaning that the next avatar would play in the 2000s at the earliest, forcing the creators to create new concepts and stuff.(which they will have to do anyway in the future but its too ambitious for now). I think the concept of a second avatar while korra is still alive, her guiding the new avatar while alive would be interesting.
why are people assuming that Korra's spirit won't be able to visit the next Avatar??? yes, her journal is cannon but there is no reason to believe her spirit won't be able to connect to the next Avatars. In all possibility, she is the next Wan. When Rava fused back with Korra, she said that Avatar cycle is restored. sure, her connection is severed with the past avatars but that doesn't mean she cannot form her own with future avatars.
Nor did they. Remember, most of the Avatars lived very long lives. Aang was the "shortest" because he'd already spent 100 years in the ice. This is probably more than a full century later.
@@NorthForkFisherman that's still not enough time to go from 1910's to cyberpunk. You'd have to live as long as Kyoshi (which btw was an error on the creators part since she was 400+ years old when she died and it conflicts with other lore(

Basically a Diary since it's to her future incarnation to read. :}

And all they have got to say is evasive, vague platitudes that don't adress the problem at hand.

I’m not trying to convince anyone of anything but this is a fact.
that would be sooo good! i hope so. love nostalgic moments too.
If korra's successor brings back the avatar connection, I personally want kyoshi to make another appearance, I think that if the new avatar met kyoshi, it'd be a good chance for her to teach them about how your decisions affect others
Same, but more because she’s a badass
UGH YES PLEASE! i also hope its like a collecting thing where you gain them like character sets lmfaoo

A series of the old avatars would be better than a new avatar in 2023 in my opinion. That old time style that shows ancient chinese, and indian culture are what made Avatar the last airbender so good and nostaligic.
I agree!! The original avatar is so soothing and beautiful, it's very nostalgic. I didn't even like how modern it was in Korra's time line. It made me kind of sad. Real life is already constantly evolving and becoming more and more advanced, I think ancient times are much more interesting. I also miss all the filler episodes. I love Korra but it also was just so stressful
Same in atla everything was traditional and it felt like an unreal adventure but in korra it became more modern and made it feel like we lost the essence of the fantasy world in atla plus the scenes in korra always looked so dull
idk, i kinda hope not bc i prefer villain-villains rather than war related stuff. And I feel like thats all the older ones would have.
Aang ended the Fire Nation’s expansionism while Roku couldn’t
Korra restored Airbending to the world which was Aang’s deepest wish
Perhaps Korra’s successor reconnects to the past lives of the old Avatar Cycle
Wait is the energybending thing true that would be crazy but how’d that work?
@@JDWalker495 Of course! Korra used it during her time as the Avatar, just like Aang did before her.

Speaking of pro-bending I wonder if air bending will be introduced into the sport as the air-nation rebuilds. I imagine that the rules would have to be shifted a little bit a properly trained air-bender would be one of the most frustrating opponents to fight because of their philosophy of dodging and constant movement, as shown when Korra first incorporates air-bending philosophy in her match.
I tend to wonder about that too, and it could be the means for an airbender that chose not to follow the air nomad lifestyle to practice there bending.

The past avatars are not gone the connection is only gone
Hoping you are right.
no, they are gone forever dude.
@Purple Citrine yes, they are gone forever and they are never coming back.

Good take
I bet that the next Avatar will be living in a world similar to the actual era, our era.
Sooo with korras connection to oast avatars severed, the solctice has no effevt on that, like a cell phone signal, you can have a great signal but if the number isnt there it just isnt there.
cant wait for the next show!

Seeing as she messed it up for all future avatars by making it impossible to contacting the other past lives she really has no choice but to do more than any other to give future avatars as much help as possible.

I feel Korra's enemies were smaller and more personal to her, compared to a worldwide war.
@@garethhughes7430 not all the first 3 were after her cause she was the avatar, b1 was a follow up from an issue from aangs time , showing us that his resolve wasn’t alway best just like Roku , as he blames his self that aang had to deal with the fallout of his battels , the same can now be said for aang to korra , then the other 2 just wanted the avatar in general but it did affect the world as it would change it dramatically , like no more bending , the spirit would now can be accessed , only b4 was more personal as kuvira wasn’t after korra initially it was just she stood with the ppl she was against and then it came more about korra than the avatar as they are mirrors of each other
@@garethhughes7430 no it wasn't. They weren't just small, they were really dangerous
“Korra… why can I only talk to you?”
“Haha. Funny story. I broke reincarnation. Have fun doing this on your own”
" NOOOOOOOOOOOO " - the new avatar
i don’t know why this video made me so sad 😕
It's Time. How time runs , and new cycles are born.
i was just thinking about this honestly i saw a tiktok that said each avatar is meant to right the wrongs the last avatar made so what if the next one restores the past lives and spirit connection
Mako and Bolin in their police uniforms hanging around and smiling in that photo looks so cool, especially when seeing what they went through as kids and how they turned their life around by distancing themselves from the organized crime they were pushed into to as poor/destitute kids that grew up in a rough neighborhood.
the new avatar can talk to korra for sure and they will find away to fix the problem
Past connection broken by Korra? It's Unalaq and Vaati who destroyed Raava.
The connection to the past Avatars is not getting fixed because the writers do not like it existing. It's as simple as that.
She learned energy bending in Season 1, what are u talking about
what do u mean, aang taught her how to do that when he restored her bending and taught her energy bending.
I feel like avatar the last Airbender will always be my and my twin brothers favorite one
I hope all the above happens
I can only hope the Earth Avatar learns from Korra's mistakes and fixes the missing connection to all her predecessors
The cyberpunk setting is interesting, i was hoping it would be like in The Legend Of Genji which isn't exactly cyberpunk but far more advanced than in LOK, probably around the 50s of our time. I'm just a little worried, LOK brought a lot of fresh air into the show like powered mechs and spiritual energy beams. I don't want it to get too advanced and have the avatar need to bend nukes or whatever i don't know, the show is still in early stages.
I know most people disagree but the legend of Korra is my favorite show...I mean I agree that the way she used the avatar state all the time was wrong, but that tiny thing didn't take me away from the rest of the cool things.😁I'll miss her so much 😞
I think most of the people who hate her are a small vocal minority.
@@michaeltaylor788 I hated her for long time but after to see the series and take atention of every chapter, I understand her better, she is actually a good character, I won't denny that in some chapters she acts like an estupid, especially in book 2 but is understable, She was lost.
Yeah she was a good character :(
Aside from Korra, who was the worst character in the series, the supportive characters were good. She should have been in a wheelhair from season one and no one heard of her again for the rest of the series. The series would have been so much more interesting. They should have replaced her Tenzin.
Painpadopoulos8120
Well I guess you just can't understand what it means to go through a journey of growth because your to stubborn to change with goodness. Which means you have a really bad personality.
Not good a homosexual Avatar they made it ruined her and whole Avatar show!!
I thought the 1st season was pretty good but after that it just started going down hill.
she's bisexual, also her and asami had no relatioship developmwnt, so i agree it's a bit ruined
@@kerimbabic6124 That's even worst it ruined the children's cartoon with added confusion. Kora sucked the whole series. When Tof said she was the worst Avatar ever she didn't lie!!!!
Facts.
Here comes the korra fanatics calling you homophobic
I really don't want platinum bending to become possible, it's nice to have some limitations...
Platinum bending shouldn’t be a thing the whole point is that it’s too pure you can’t
@@razzaman1625 exactly!

My big question is “will pro bending be altered to include airbenders in four man teams?”
The only way Korra could help the new avatar, is if the new avatar has no connection with her. Seriously do you remember her taking a logical decision in 4 seasons?
i hope the next avatar is able to restore the connection to the other past lives
Me to.

The legend of Korra would be so much more enjoyable if Korra helps the next avatar fixes her mistakes :)
Plot twist:
Looking at the thumbnail, Sung Jin-woo is the next Avatar.
No that’s not sung Jin woo ,it’s the new earthbender avatar after korra look it up in google but u are right he does kinda looks like jin woo
I don’t blame them.
what is the song name at the start of the vid
4:02 blud really thought we wouldnt notice Naruto theme.
Honestly I love that sound track it brings me peace and joy. So great choice of music.
I want the new avatar to have every bending ability every sun bending skill energy bending the powers dark avatar unavaatu demonstrated spirit based powers and more
Bloody hell, Edd Gould is the next avatar?
I LOVE channel you give me so much avatar information
So korra STOPPED being avatar thats sad😢
I tried to like her series, it wasn't terrible but I did/do hate the state it left the franchise in. It's like Ben 10 being told he has access to over a million aliens, and then getting stuck with a watch that only allows him to use 10 forever. I'm not hyped for whatever comes next
"Helps".
Considering how things went for Korra, he might be better off without her.
NOOOOOO! They've announced the next avatar after Korra?!? I've been working on my idea for the earth avatar for like seven years! Now its not going to be a possibility! STINK!!!!
As good as always keep it up 😭🙏❤

Just disregard kora. Like highlander fans do highlander 2, and star wars fans do the sequel trilogy.
What’s the sound called in minute 1:07 it’s so soothing
The next avatar better repair the connection with past lives.
He/she won't. They are gone forever, they are never coming back.
The cycle is gone Korra started a new one, every time the next avatar asks for guidance the only one he sees is Korra.
I hate the thought of avatar catching up to our modern age. Its going to be so weird. Like will they just have guns? Eh
I agree with you
it will not be the avatar we are used to.
What wisdom can korra possibly give to the new avatar.
you are delusional
Is this canon or a fanfic? Where's this from?
I don’t get how the next Avatar can be in a cyber punk world lol. It’s simply the next generation not centuries away.
neither do I, korra dies relatively young and i believe it was at the age of 39 so how can the world develop that quickly??
you know what I didnt hear people theorizing about? Having two avatars at the same time. because essentially korra is cut off from the avatar line, making her not a reincarnation anymore. So technically there could be a "new" avatar while she is still alive. Because a time skip wouldnt be good rn considering current story plays in the 19th century meaning that the next avatar would play in the 2000s at the earliest, forcing the creators to create new concepts and stuff.(which they will have to do anyway in the future but its too ambitious for now). I think the concept of a second avatar while korra is still alive, her guiding the new avatar while alive would be interesting.
I'm so excited and at the same time so worried about the next avatar
This is so sweet :)
- I really hope they don't go weird with the new one
why are people assuming that Korra's spirit won't be able to visit the next Avatar??? yes, her journal is cannon but there is no reason to believe her spirit won't be able to connect to the next Avatars. In all possibility, she is the next Wan. When Rava fused back with Korra, she said that Avatar cycle is restored. sure, her connection is severed with the past avatars but that doesn't mean she cannot form her own with future avatars.
Dude love to put genji in the thumbnail as the avatar even though is not cannon !! Sign I wish it was.
Korra is the worst Avater ever!!!
Cyberpunk or steampunk? Because there's no way in hell they went from early 1910's technology to cyberpunk technology in one generation
