we stopped at Uranus last year and hubby took our handicapped friend into the sideshow, while I went around looking at everything else, so I'm glad you showed the side show to see what I missed
Hey Jacob, the Devil Fish display and the cast photo in it shows that it was featured on the old TV series THAT’S INCREDIBLE, featuring Peter Billingsley from A CHRISTMAS STORY. Also, I loved your little jig with The Uranus Pickers! Nice dancing!
Fun time in “URANUS” Missouri! The fudge and taffy are delicious 😋. I was there visiting on Sunday. Now we’re back home on Old Highway 66 near Arcadia, Oklahoma. Thanks for the GREAT 👍 vlog showing us all the crazy stuff at this attraction!
Check out Elmer's BBQ in Tulsa!! Drove all the way from NW Ohio to check out this little mom and pop diner and was not disappointed! Lots of RT. 66 swag inside!
The picture in the Devil Fish case was the cast of a late 70's early 80's human interest TV show called Real People. The Devil Fish must have been a segment of show. 8:22
Looks like quite a few people in Uranus this time around. Uranus is definitely on my list of places I need to visit. Thanks much my friend for sharing Uranus with all of us 👍
The picture is of the television show Real People. Regular hosts included John Barbour, Sarah Purcell, Byron Allen, Skip Stephenson, Bill Rafferty, Mark Russell, Peter Billingsley, David Ruprecht, and Fred Willard.
Hello Jacob Uranus is An Awesome place So glad to see you having fun in Uranus😂 Loved the Dancing with the Animatronics. The Best Part Always is Sideshow I could get Lost in those places. I would of Gotten some fudge to munch on Awesome Video
Uranus Missouri looks like a fun time. I especially enjoyed seeing the animatronic band. I love how they play The Streak. I have been a huge fan of Ray Stevens ever since I was a kid and The Streak is one of my favorite songs he singes. Thanks for the heads up on the new Uranus in Indiana. From my house in Illinois it is only 1hr and 1/2 to Indianapolis,IN. I hope I make it over there when they open. It also would be cool if I happened to see you there. Keep on making videos and stay safe on old 66.
I had no idea about Uranus...I am definitely gonna have to go there now! To answer your, "Am I close to Branson?" question; Yes, you were close. No clue exactly where you were when you said that but St Louis is about 4 hours away (depending on traffic) & 66 heads toward Springfield, which is a little less than an hour from here.
That time theory has been going around Donkey's years although I've not seen anything officially confirming it and I'm in the UK. I have also resigne to the fact my sense of humour never progressed past the age of 5 as I was sniggering all the way through the Uranus bit, I did also have a thought when you mentioned sundays resulting in a lot of places closed and looking into work balance. Why not make Sunday a rest day? Sure it might mean an extra night at the Motel/Hotel (although if its not good by all means move on) but it'll let you rest and refresh a bit and avoids tiredness on days things are open.
A specifically nice episode, with all those little, and to me often unknown road side informations. i looked up information about the Trail of Tears, and was negatively amazed. It is almost unimaginable to me how the new Americans (the immigrants) forced the native Americans to resettle far from their original homes, and still refer to themselves as civilised. Certainly a site which i would like to visit, and at the same time get some additional information about Larry. Fortunately Jacob has granted part of that wish to us. You are the best guide, mr. Carpetbagger!
Loved the Uranus pickers. Don't remember them from before must be new. Did you ever try the fudge. The sideshow museum is very interesting. They didn't have a Performer this time?? Safe travels. Keep Safe ❤Keep Well ❤
OMGOSH, I'm 66 years old. To old to have that kinda childish reaction...although it was the way you said it. hahaha when you said that's one of the Police in Uranus....that hit me so Funny that I Seriously Could Not Stop Laughing 🤣
The drone footage of the big rocking chair was cool and the lunch at Shelly's looked so tasty! 😍 Awww Johnson the cat was so cute too 😸 loved you dancing in front of the band! Thanks Jacob and best wishes ☀️
Another interesting video! It was amazing that the stores were opened in 1933 and still running🙌 The Trail of Tears actually made me remember about a video Mr. Jacob created some years ago, about a garden with lots of Angel and humans statues, which built by someone who suddenly vanished (iirc). I searched for that video but I couldn't find it anymore :( If someone remembers about that video, I'll appreciate it so much if you can tell me which video it was 😭🙌 And! Johnson is pretty cute☺️ Too bad he wasn't up for longer petting session with Mr. Jacob that day, maybe he still need to patrol other areas🤧 Great dance, Sir!🙌🙌🙌
There is an old Charles Bronson movie called "White Buffalo," which also starred Will Sampson from Cuckoos Nest fame and Jack Warden. It's a good movie to check out...
You definitely recognize us from Eric's videos however we are not business partners. Eric is one of my best friends and we go on adventures together from time to time
Uranus Fudge Factory. Now that's just too funny I don't care who you are. I was wondering when someone would create a themed attraction , using every Uranus Pun , and double entendre in the book. I'm glad too see the little Grey aliens enjoy picking Uranus too. In fact, aren't they the ones who sort of started it all ?? Those of you who have been abducted will understand thoroughly.
Wow! Awesome video today! I love the Sideshow Circus Museum. That place looks cool! I love that cat too! Johnson is his name. Cool name! I also like that fudge shop. My favorite fudge is peanut butter. It’s delicious! I also like those Grimace salt and pepper shakers. Stonehenge is cool too! My mom went to England and Scotland before I was born in the 80s and she was not allowed to go in to Stonehenge because the Druids had a holiday over there. But she has a picture far away from the place. It’s interesting how old stuff works these days. That was technology back then lol. Well, thanks for sharing! Have a great day!
Thanks for taking me to Uranus!! It was VERY interesting to See All that was in there ! Blueberry Fudge I don't know if I'd like that . I hope you continue to have a Great Time as you travel the Mother Road, again. Really Appreciate your Time in making these videos Jacob. Stay Safe Be Happy. God Bless ..from Tammy in PA
Stop in Erick, OK and check out Sandhill Curiosity Shop. Talk to Harley if you have the chance. Also, not Rt 66, but Lowell, AZ has a great ghost town stuck in the 1950's with antique cars and shops lining the abandoned streets.
8:24 = cast of NBC's "Real People". circa 1982. If memory serves, the devil fish were featured in a segment of the program.
I LOVE how the pickers played Ray Stevens' 'The Streak'!!! I used to LOVE that song as a kid!! 😅
I really appreciated the explanation of the "baby rattlers" joke
we stopped at Uranus last year and hubby took our handicapped friend into the sideshow, while I went around looking at everything else, so I'm glad you showed the side show to see what I missed

Oh no, it's Jacob's mug shot! But his only crime is caring too much...
The utter glee in your voice when you say “Uranus Fudge Factory” made me laugh! I also like the jazzy Carpetbagger theme for the drone flight. Nice!
We have stayed there when we visit family in Cuba. Very small but comfy. Love that town.
Check out Elmer's BBQ in Tulsa!! Drove all the way from NW Ohio to check out this little mom and pop diner and was not disappointed! Lots of RT. 66 swag inside!

Men are from Mars, women are from Venus, and pickers are from Uranus
