A feature I love about the BaristaMaker is there’s settings for multiple types of milk + the stir mode. A combo of the two makes THE BEST hot chocolate I’ve ever had. Make the hot chocolate using milk in stir mode, then add frothed milk to your desired texture in the preset mode. OMG. It’s soooooo rich & creamy!!!
Aaawww thank you! I do what I can but don’t practice nearly as much as I should if I wanted to get better 😅 Thanks for watching ☺️ hope to see you around for more
Would you be able to suggest something to make an espresso on a budget, not sure if I should get a capsule machine and use it combined with the dreo or is there a better option without the need for buying an expensive machine?
Thank you! So glad to have found your channel. I’m waiting for my Dreo to ship. It’s hard to get those brands in Canada. I love the Kirkland unsweetened almond milk in my aeroccino. 😢 the Elmhurst is so spendy here.
So the max volume for latte art is about 10oz. I like to take a quad shot latte to work with me and I typically use about 12-14oz of cold milk prior to frothing. Would this be able to handle that volume?
Hi there! Such a great question! So... if you're frothing to latte art consistency, the answer is No. As you've pointed out, the max capacity for these instances is about 8.5ozs prior to frothing. If you just want to stir the milk and get it up to temp, then the maximum capacity increases to 15ozs. Hope this is useful!
What setting yields the most foam/thick texture when using whole milk? I’ve been using hot cappuccino milk setting, but is there another setting that can yield a thicker foam?
In my experience, the "Hot Thick Foam" setting yields more thickness than the "Hot Cappuccino" setting with whole milk and alternatives too. Hope it helps!
Oatly is within the approved brands for the frothing option. In this case, you only need to select the drink (this will determine the milk's consistency and foam amount for you). In the frothing mode, you don't have the option to change the temperature. It is pre-determined by the drink selection. If you're using the stir setting, you may decide the temperature you want it to be, but this will only make it hot and mix anything you're adding to it... It will NOT texturize the milk to pour latte art. Hope this helps!
The latter. In all truth, it's very hard to properly steam plant-based milk options in general. In some cases, and depending on the milk, you could get better results with the steam wand, like the example I gave of the Earth's Own: I can steam and produce good latte art out of it with my espresso machine - a bit better than I could with the BaristaMaker. But I certainly couldn't with the coconut milk and my results with the almond were no different either.
@@ayanakamura0428 I’ve incorporated both vanilla & vanilla+sugar in the Cappuccino mode. Vanilla alone remained the same, while adding sugar introduced bubbles. I haven’t tried the cold foam setting yet. Personally I don’t mind the bubbles, because I’m not trying to make latte art. I just like the texture of foamy milk in my coffee & the Dreo works great!
Thank you for the kind comment! They have been great so far, I have both the black and the "cappuccino brown" one. This is the link to the exact one I'm wearing: amzn.to/47IAAyi It seems like it's currently on sale with a 39% off, so it may be a good time to get this! Cheers!
Impeller is meant to stay still while the little micro-mesh is turning. The reason for the impeller to stay still is to cause that whirlpool effect that the commercial steamwands create. Those whirlpools fold the milk throughout allowing for a perfectly distributed microfoam. You do get the microfoam results, right? If not, then your impeller might be broken completely or the internals of the magnet and heater.

That sounds suuuper delicious! Thanks for sharing for anyone passing by!
@ And then there’s a hot Arnold Palmer. So good! Can’t wait to try making Hot Buttered Rum.
4:46 That Pitch Meeting reference was good. Nicely done.
@@TheBoardGarage yeah that caught me off guard haha
Couldn’t help it! Had to be done 😅
I think you're great at latte art, thanks for the review

Perfect video! Is there any information about shipping to Europe? Can't wait to have one!

I ordered right after seeing your video, thx a lot. But I have one additional question: what kind of espresso machine is behind you? 😊
Amazing! That one is a prototype of the new Meraki espresso machine (DVT2) :)
Do you get better results with the steam wand for those that failed the test? or is it just inherent of the milk to be bad for frothing?
The latter.

How does it set up with canned coconut cream with a little water added?
Sorry I took a while to reply, I tried this and it didn't work. Only worked with carton coconut milk.
Works well with Califia Farms milk 🙌
Amazing! Thanks for the input ✨🫶🏼
How does it perform when making different flavored cold foams??
Excellent question! I haven’t tried with ALL of the milks, but so far, whole milk, lactose free, oat and almond produce amazing cold foam! 😋

Great review! Can I use any whole milk? or does it have to be a certain brand?
Any whole, 3.25% homogenized milk would do! 💛 🥛
You can also use ultra-pasteurized milk, but it’s not as sweet. I add a pinch of sugar to mine.
Hey Liz! I LOVE your aprons you wear. Wondering what brand/model you like? Thinking my wife would love this as a gift. Thanks in advance!

I want to use oat milk for cold foam. But the middle piece isn’t moving. I’ve tried a couple of times and no luck.
How long did you leave it running?
Does your impeller spin or just the bottom part spins? My impeller stays stationary.
Mine is not working correctly. It just sits there and does nothing. I’ve tried it a couple of times.
