Accurate, and lore-friendly. Best part of including that detail of CPD being "CtOS Certified" makes it seem more dystopian in a way. Like its just a tax-funded extension of Blume's products than a public service.
Love how the Watch dogs community is still alive and ngl the mods remind me those texture mods for roleplay servers
Man, I wish I saw this video sooner. I know Ubisoft can never match this, but I just hope Rockstar puts this level of care into the GTA VI cops. Awesome work, really. 👍🏼
I'll give them props for trying, the CPD jacket had some good assets (patches in particular) but the rest of the outfit really misses the mark. 😄

Out of all the mods I gotta say this upped and secured my reason why I had to get watch dogs 1 for my PC. The fictional world of Chicago feels so lifelike with you mods and others.
Man this looks sick! I've always really liked the emergency services in WD1/WD2, but now they look even better! Has anyone done something like this for WD2?
Also on an unrelated note, GTA is gonna get a Plymouth Fury/Dodge Monaco based car in the next update! I can't wait to see what people make with it

This right here makes me kinda wonder did anyone thought of making outside of Chicago Agencies like Illinois State Police or Cook County Sheriff Office but i guess its prolly no because its impossible to pull off in WD1, I think
It's something we're in early stages of concepting, though of course I can't guarantee anything.

@@Olanov If you do make other agencies like for Pawnee in watch dogs you gotta make a blues brothers mod for it. Because I'm stuck in Pawnee, I have half a pack of smokes it's dark, I'm wearing sunglasses, I got to get to the loop because brother I'm on a mission from God.

Guys, that's amazing. I still prefer the original cars, but this is better than beta! (Love the detail about ctOS on the side of the car) Now I have a lot of faith in watch dogs community!
Is it time to make something like lspdfr? Even if it is really basic! I think simple shout-outs and chases should be enough for it to be fun!
Hah, that's way beyond me but I've seen it come up in passing, as a thought in some circles previously. Until somebody gets to it though I doubt we'll see something like that, soon. :x
@@Olanov well, I just saw modders being able to spawn enemies, police cars, police officers (police call in living city mod) and police chases themselves, probably the only thing left is to stop cops from attacking the player. But I can't even merge mods properly (if only there was OpenIV for watch dogs), so I'm not gonna pressure you to make this mod. Your mod above is still great!
@@Робеспьер-д7ш Yeah, it's basically one thing to just script some rando things and another to make a whole consistent mod out of it. Scripting for this game is on a whole new level and I *really* didn't enjoy it, even doing some edits to the missions alone was a huge nightmare. x)
While we got nothing sort of a police mod coming out there's new things on the way for Factions Redux, that I can hopefully talk about soon.

@@Olanov I see a potential police mod like this: random shout-outs, random chases, police skins from this mod, crime predictions from vanilla, backup calls and police ignores you (you still get wanted level so they can shoot enemies but they don't shoot you). Worst thing about calling cops in living city is that they prefer to shoot you instead of the enemy even if you don't have wanted level. Anyway these are just my dreams. I can't even imagine how hard it is to mod game that scripted.

@Olanov Patrol officer use 416 rifle but SWAT officer use MP5 is too odd. Don't know why Ubisoft make setting like this.

Love the Saints Row 1 police voice clips nice touch as well because Stillwater is based on Chicago and Detroit city

That's not something really planned in this capacity for the mod pack; but if eventually I do a compatibility patch for something like Living City (which also includes an outfit of the base cops for Aiden) I would likely replace one, there.

Very good! I love watch dogs too! Especially the police loudspeaker, it sounds very intimating yet cool.
EDIT: I have other mods that replaces patch files, is there no way they could also co exist? I have a mod that makes the heli drivable.
Would require merging the files to different extents. As you might imagine it's a headache to account and maintain for even few mods.
The PH Callouts sound Cool imo, The Police Helicopters in General are Quite Cool.

Various mods will be launched standalone over time as we manage, the UV mapped cars for instance are already out and authored by FenderBender. I'll be likely authoring the peds so keep a close eye as it will likely come out in the coming days. Thank you. :)

Thanks! The mod doesn't change anything about Aiden, simply adds/replaces some police assets, does few gameplay tweaks so far.

Random question but do you plan on making it compatible with Living_City? I tried it out, but some stuff got messed up (the wardrobe had some "malfunctions")
It's something I'm thinking down the road but it's enough work, on top of actual mod updates to not pursue just yet.

It's certainly something on the to-do list we've talked about but we're taking it one task at a time and then see how it goes before making promises. 🙂
@@Mareux06 Oblivous, WD2 can't compete with WD1 but it will be nice to see a SFPD enhancement because there are only 2 cars for the police.
Looking at the moddb description, do you plan on combining this mod with Yorpie and MrJayden's Police and Faction Overhaul mod?
There are no plans at this time, but that's not to say it couldn't happen.
Factions Redux will very much over time be expanded on and provide some new flavor in way of revamped mechanics.
We did work together behind the scenes however, and Police and Faction Overhaul will be making use of some of the same assets.

I don't wanna promise anything so soon as we still got our work cut out for us with WD1, but if everything goes well, definitely. We're overhauling various bigger and smaller factions, NPC's, cars etc.

Nice! Which tools you use for the CPD cops to achieve this variety? I mean the thin and fat cops!
I actually took the prison guards shirts/pants for overweight/non-overweight and adjusted where necessary so they fit better.
Minor adjustments with ZMod to remove stuff like their chain from the pants.
