beautiful Course looks like you are having a great time and I'm right with you in the allergy problem as I take a pill everyday of the year for my all my allergies
Great video. I'm looking forward to playing there in July, and it's good to follow your trip and get an idea of the courses, hopefully some more to come from Pattaya ❤
Shan nice birdie 💪 Radom tip.. you both should purchase foot joy rain gloves. They come as a pair, right & left handed. You have to get them wet to work. A must have for prepaid rounds.. in that part of the world. Clearly didn’t need today 😂
One of the more expensive courses around Pattaya. They had a special last year for 3200 baht all in but they haven't done it this year. It's a super course and manicured, great caddies and I understand why it's more expensive.
I don't remember if it was every 3 holes, but there are drink stops. You can also let the caddies know and they can contact the clubhouse for you to bring drinks! Caddies are amazing :)
Hi Shan, I played Chee Chan 5 months after it opened. We got a special of 5500 Baht including transport. The greens had been sanded so irons wouldn't hold where you hit them and on those greens being 45 feet from the hole is a nightmare! The range wasn't finished so my caddy didn't know how far I drove it. We go to the first and I ask how far to the bunker. She says "Can't reach". Of course she sees the white hair and figures I'm a short hitting old man. So I ask again, "How far?" and she says "Cant reach". My drive hit the top of the bunker and rolled back in. She says "Oh, can reach". Dead pan face, typical Thai caddy humour. Had a laugh all the way round but with hard sanded greens couldn't make a score. I hope you got your driver to stop by the Buddha for 10 minutes on the way home.
That's so funny! I get that a lot actually (as a female), but I always ask for the yardage to and past bunkers so I can decide for myself if it's a risk 😂 I'm glad the range was fixed and greens were in good condition when we went. Green condition is sooo important!
@@GolfwithShan November is just after a very wet month and they tend to do greens mtce around that time. We just got unlucky with the sanding. I like November for the Christmas shopping and I always find some Thai Christmas cards to bring home. The picture is usually of the Royal Palace. I can see with your great swing how you may confuse caddies. They must be confused when you step back a tee box to over 6000 yards. The tees I choose depends on how long ago the last thunderstorm was. Wet fairways = splat and no roll! Take care and i'm enjoying the channel very much with you stirring some wonderful memories for me. Thanks Simon
We stayed at the Centara Azure Hotel Pattaya. The room was very small... The shower is a foot from the bed with 2 glass doors 😂 It's decent to stay in but was very cramped with 2 golf bags and travel cases. Location is quite central though
Hey! That's a great idea we've talked about it 😊 it is very different to golf with a camera on for every shot 😂 I can understand that most people would be hesitant. With a little more practice time maybe he'll appear on camera
I meant to add. My next Thai holiday I'm going to Chiang Mai for the first time in November for 3 weeks. If the pair of you are around would love to have a game or two with you both. If it's something you fancy doing and it's on your radar to visit there drop me an email you can find the address on my channel. Cheers Simon
Hi, sounds fun! We are back in Canada now, but definitely plan to go back to Thailand again. Thinking of checking out another golf region next time. Would love to golf in Chiang Mai
@@GolfwithShan I've never been before and I'm told the evenings are cooler and less humid in the mountains and it takes a little longer to get really hot in the morning. Sounds ideal. I'm using Golf Asian for the golf but booked my own hotel. I'm flying up. I did consider using a cabin on the sleeper train from Bangkok. The station is outside the city not far from the airport. Easy to find on the internet if that sounds like fun to you two.
You scored very well for this beautiful golf course. Your tee off shots, fairway shots also putting on the greens. May be you warmed up your swing at the driving range before playing?
Happy Mother's day to all the mom in the world! Wear pink to support combat the breast cancer! Love your vlog, Shan! Thanks again for sharing!
Loving the Pattaya golf vlogs,I enjoy watching you play...thanks

Thanks for the tip! We got really lucky with weather for sure haha
I was just wondering if you’d played here. I wanna play there next week.
Enjoy!
Hey Shan! We are curious about your comments on the drive up to the course? What was going on? dogs or goats roaming or pot holes?
I wish my swing was that nice!

Did they have drink stops every 3 holes as many do ?

We're playing here on Thursday, Sept 7th.4400baht all in.
This is on my list of Pattaya courses to play. Nice looking layout. Which hotel did you choose?

Hey Shan!
What is the deal with your husband's /BF's game?
Might be fun to see a match play? You could give him a few strokes (handicap adjusted) 😊👍🏼

@@GolfwithShan even a mini 3 hole match - par 3, 4 and 5. 😃

nice course. I used to think for years that's how you pronounce Pattaya but it's not 😬
Ohhh I just googled it! It's Pah ta YAAA 😅
@@GolfwithShan hehe something like that. pat-tee-ahh
Stop running on the greens.
Noted 😊
If you run on a green you ruin it with footprints all the next groups.

Warming up definitely helped!
