A really nice review of golf, hotels, and entertainment in Thailand. Thanks. If you listen to the Thai locals, Pattaya is actually pronounced Pat-tee-ahh. You have a really nice golf swing by the way. One thing to remember about Songkran and getting sprayed with water is the water for Songkran in Pattaya often comes from lakes which are not treated and may contain bacteria. If you get it in your eyes are swallow it, you could get sick. Best to wear some eye protection and don't get it in your mouth.
I used GolfAsian last year for my first trip to Bangkok. The price was very good, the hotel accommodation was good and my driver was awesome. They recommended a hotel on Sol 11 that had me within walking distance of everything I wanted to see. I was surprised my driver stayed in the parking lot while I played golf. I played Muang Kaew GC, Royal Bang Pa GC, Thai Country Club and Nikanti GC. I had an awesome time and I’ll be back in June 2024. I looking into looking at Fusion Golf Tours because they are a few hundred dollars cheaper so I think I’ll give them a try this year.
Yeah we were surprised too! They just sit there and wait until you're done the round. Our hotel was also super central. I'm not familiar with Fusion Golf Tour. Would love to check in our and see how it compares to GolfAsian!
Hey thanks for this video I have been checking them out for a few years. You have convinced me,I will use them next year when I go to Thailand.I'm in Mississauga and have golf at a few same courses.Have you and your boyfriend golf at Peel Village in Brampton, great nine hole course for the money.Keep posting awsome videos.
Amazing! I'm glad I can help! I really think it's worth the convenience and no hassle trying to get transportation. I haven't played peel village yet! Next season will have to check it out 😊
I would recomend trying SIAM PGA next time. We have used SIAM PGA 5 times, and last time we tried Golfasian, but will definetly go back to SIAM PGA. They are based in Hua Hin, and Andy and his staff have always been awesome for us. It feels more personal because they are not as big as Golfasian. Andy always have tips and good information about the conditions of all the courses. A much better total experience for us. With Golfasian we got a good package, but ended ut with alot of courses in bad conditions, and not very good planning when combining playing a golfcourse with departure to a new location, SIAM PGA has been on a different level planning-wise. They offer golf in Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia, they are price competative, Golfasian is not bad at all, we just think SIAM PGA is alot better :)
Thank you for sharing! I'll definitely look into SIAM PGA next time. Thinking of some other countries in Asia and would be interested in trying smaller travel companies
We've used golf asian and golfsavers, there's not much difference but on our trips to Huahin and Kanchaburi we've found it to be cheaper to call the golf courses once we arrive at our destination.
Wow what a great video , I’m sold on golf Asian now , thank you so much , I’m from the Toronto area as well , I’m planning my second trip to Thailand for 2024 , I have been checking out golf Asian , they have tournament golf you can play also , they have a tournament in the beginning of sept in pattya I am going to play in , but before I play in this tournament I wanted to play some golf in Bangkok myself , I wasn’t sure about using golf Asian or just booking it myself , thanks to you vid I am now going to use there service , I will be travelling alone for this vacation, do you have any advice for a solo traveller,
Shan, thank you very much for sharing your experience with Golfasian in Thailand. I'll definitely check it out myself soon. Very helpful! If without golf, which city in Thailand is your favorite just for food, scenery and relaxation?
Thanks for the great video! I am currently organizing a one-week stay in Bangkok with 3 rounds (Nikanti, Suwan, Thana City) incl. caddy and cart (without hotel, meals, airport transfer, one golfer) and Golfasian's price is TBH 24,000 ($US 700).🤢A little high, isn't it?
Thanks! If you are only booking golf (without anything else), GolfSavers will probably be cheaper. I would check it out before booking with GolfAsian. That does seem high! Check the price for each course individually on GolfSavers :)
I have used Golf Asian. I've used them just to add on a few rounds of golf to a holiday which was me playing with golf bars. I have also used them for an entire trip - hotel and golf. I go for 3 weeks and play from 12 to 15 rounds of golf. I tell them where I want to stay, where I want to play and what time of day I want to tee off and leave it to them. I have calculated how much they make on a week holiday compared to me booking everything by myself and it really isn't very much compared to a european agency. Why are they so cheap? Because their staff are in Thailand with Thailand wages. I've found while out there I can change my schedule, add on extra rounds. Change from one course to another. They have accommodated all my desires. The drivers are always on time, you are never left at the hotel or the course wondering if you will ever get there or get back. Wonderful, wonderful people. Can't wait for November and 3 weeks in Chiang Mai playing golf with Golf Asian. I really hope you will be there too and we can share transport and save a bit of money.
Thank you for sharing! Yes, the customization options are great and they are very responsive to our requests. Our drivers were always at the hotel EARLY! It's amazing haha! We did a rough estimate of the costs to book normally (without trying the cheaper "tricks") and it actually comes out to about the same price as well. We haven't planned for November yet, but have heard amazing things about Chiang Mai golf. I'll let you know if we go!
@@GolfwithShan I had to keep asking the drivers to pick me up later from the courses. I shower and change and then go get something to eat. Plus do a bit of filming round the clubhouse.
Too bad you picked a crappy hotel. Pattaya does have some great hotels or Airbnb options. Also there are too many great courses there. Still the best golf option in Thailand.
Black mountain is a fabulous golf course, I travel all over Thailand playing golf as I live and work here for the last 3 years

Shan absolutely love your content! Where’s is you’re next golf destination? I’d love to see you visit northern Michigan. Many solid courses 😊
Thank you! Great question~~ I'm not sure yet, we'll have to see! I'll add Northern Michigan to my golf travel list 😊
Good, balanced review!

Very interesting! How about the cost of transportation? Is it easy to call a grab or taxi in Huahin?

So far, my favourite is definitely Bangkok! Amazing food, temples, parties, there's always something to do and see. :)

Edit: It might be worth it if you're including transport from hotel to golf course.
Maybe Golfasian provides a Maybach limousine.😊

I heard there are many golf societies who organises games and transfer daily. It might be cheaper with them.
I think there are some golf bars and golf groups for people that are in Thailand more long term! It's a good option 😊
