I've worked 40+ years to build what I have and paid my fair share of taxes over that period. I started from a very poor family, paid for my education myself and work myself up the ladder from poverty. I will go to jail before I pay taxes on selling my primary home and nest egg. I refuse.

When we buy a house, we pay for it with money that has already been taxed. When we do renovations on the house, we pay for the materials with money that has already been taxed. So if we take good care of our homes the government wants to tax us for the added value that we have managed to put into the house. Enough with the taxes .......

all politicians while in office should live in tiny homes, not allowed to travel by plain or cars and do everything through Zoom, they should eat as those on low incomes and none of their expenses should be covered, their finances should be scrutinized. Any mishandling of public funds should be met with lifetime in prison with no chance of parole ever.

Just wondering what would happen if we collectively did the following. Nobody pay any house taxes, restaurant tax on your food bill and any other type of tax until the Government realize they work for us and we have the power to change things. Recently over the last year or so the news has been talking about housing shortages. So with the possibility of parents leaving more of an estate to their children potentially could cost them a lot of money and putting more stress on people trying to buy a home. Imagine collectively we as a nation said no in a meaningful way to this Government and future Governments this tax, tax, tax nonsense has to stop. But unfortunately i know this will never happen, but it is nice to dream about . Imagine keeping more of your money instead of working till approximately August or September for your tax bill.

Perhaps higher business productivity will lead to higher wages? I think young workers would rather see their own earnings go up instead of yet another government handout. But the government does not even acknowledge that productivity is a concern that needs to be addressed..
