However, after joining cabinet in that manner it would create a huge uproar if a Liberal MP did not quickly resign to pave the way for him to obtain a voter mandate. Freeland is one of the most over-rated, under-achieving and incompetent politicians to ever take a seat in parliament. Hitching her wagon to a pompous, artificially-created and under-qualified drama queen, who in 2015 was riding the emotional wave of an ignorant electorate, was her undeserved opportunity to pretend to be important. Kudos to her, I suppose, for maintaining that illusion of competence for almost 10 years. Finally, thank goodness, it appears that her chickens have come home to roost. Now, if she can just take Trudeau with her........

Just checked : She first got elected as an MP for 'Toronto -Centre' in 2013 then 'University-Rosedale' ( also in Toronto ) in 2015, and has kept her seat ( re-elected in 2019 and 2021 ) since then. So, yes, she gets that gold plated pension that WE pay for. Which just goes to prove you can be a reckless spend thrift, plunge the country into EXTREME debt, and get rewarded for it. *Sigh* there outta be a law against that...!!!
