    LOL the court in Arthur Ashe Stadium was really fast back then, not even slower than Dubai, but same can't be said nowadays. There is a reason why pushers were dominating US Open from 10-13.

      nadal and djoker rnt pushers. nadal can play aggressive and his shots have a ton of spin and pace, that's really hard to do and make it in, also djokers shots are very aggressive, deep hard shots that he can make heavy, he has plenty of aggressive play
      BUT yes I agree andy Murray basically just pushes

    despite playing a subpar final this clip is a clear indication of Fed's decline on his movement and forehand. His defense was sick back then and his forehand devastating.

    Very first point of the video... The commentator's laugh after Federer casually disposed of the bomb Roddick sent his way is all you need to understand what happened during that match... Just pure excellence from the maestro.

    It's quite amazing that Fed went 9-0 in sets from QF forwards.
    All 6 sets were really tight, and could've gone to the opponents...
    This was back when Fed still had the "Aura of Invincibility" around him.
    Davy was up a break several times and threatened with multiple set points, Roddick was there all the time, and Djokovic had 4 set points (or was it 5?) with serve in the first set, so... Amazing Federer.
    And this is what changed more than anything since his prime - he is no longer unbeatable.

    It's a shame they took down the fast courts. I wonder where Djokovic or Nadal would be now if nothing had changed. Even Wimbledon and Us Open are starting to be as slow as the AO.

    Roger Federer had Andy Roddicks number. I wish so bad he could’ve won that Wimbledon over him.

    it's not a fake, he wanted to do the forehand, but the ball jumped to low so I understood that his only choice was a backhand

    Poor Rodick, his grunting sounds painful and a little embarrassing.

    • @Onmysheet
      @Onmysheet 4 года назад +2

      He's giving it his all, just hanging on at every point, scrambling for every ball. While Federer is coolly dictating play without breaking a sweat.

      @@Onmysheet lmao I forgot I wrote this 😂. But it’s true, I mean Rodick was pretty good but Federer dominated in the 2000s for a reason, he was unbeatable
