    The interviewer's English is really good. He has a Danish accent (like when Danish people speak English). It sounds pretty cool!

    Wow, this has to be the most inspiring video I’ve seen about learning Mandarin! I think it’s the variety of interviewees and their personal stories that really made it click for me. It feels so relatable because they all have different reasons for learning Chinese. I’m kind of like the Canadian guy-just super into the culture-and hey, I’m Filipino too!
    What hit me the most was the experience shared by the lady from Tajikistan. It’s not like speaking Mandarin automatically makes it easy to make Chinese friends. That perspective is so real and helps set balanced expectations for anyone planning to visit China.
    I’ve been watching Lois Talagrand's videos, and while I respect the research-heavy approach, it can get a bit exhausting-especially when his guests insist on what’s “most important” in language learning (like intentional vs incidental learning). That’s why I love how these folks in the video just share their experiences without pushing them as the only way to learn Mandarin.
    And honestly, I’m so over those RUclipsrs who only show off their Mandarin skills to impress others. Sure, they’re talented, but they don’t inspire me at all-I just can’t relate to them. Can’t wait to watch more videos like this!

    I'm Brazilian from Sao Paulo. China and Brazil are becoming friends more than ever. I had Chinese colleagues when I was a kid. Although, Japanese are more common here, due the immigration. But now we see Chinese people more than ever.😊

    Excellent - subscribed! I'm moving to China to teach (Grad School) & work in advanced research in Decorative Arts. For spoken Mandarin, I have the impression that connective words used in assembling phrases are not easy to master. Immersion has always worked for me - French is my 4th language, & I'm fluent...

    So far I can see that the only way to study Mandarin fast is to dedicate a year to an University. Despite I am studying it remotely, despite self-learning routine, - it is still simple level. Difficult even to say basic phrases. Introducing one more teacher and more online lessons to myself. But still compared to almost 2y when I started learning Mandarin Chinese, - it is way way way way way better than before

    When I was 18 i worked at a restaurant as a busboy there was many Mexican workers in the kitchen and i started learning just by being around them everyday and it’s like muscle memory you casually learn, as far as mandarin I don’t have many options like before, I watch RUclips videos and shows.

    The Tajik waitress used (I presume) almost all hsk1 grammar but was able to have a decent conversation with an accent that I was able to actually understand! (Im a poor hsk1 level 学生). She should start her own mandarin-youtube and make a bunch of friends that way.

    • @YoureInMySpotFBPAGE
      @YoureInMySpotFBPAGE Месяц назад

      Much higher than hsk1, at least hsk3? I don't know where you're thinking her grammar is hsk1

    • @jeunejaegerx3458
      @jeunejaegerx3458 Месяц назад +2

      Do you mean vocabulary? Grammar doesn’t make sense in this case. And HSK1 sounds too basic for what she was saying

      @@jeunejaegerx3458i agree. It was probably HSK 3.

      it is so easy to humiliate someone instead of showing support. she is just 26 and around age 35 if she gonna keep living in China her language will become more natural
