    Love this😍♥️ How could I make one for a gas stove? I’m trying to figure out how to make sides to set it up higher over the burner covers....

    • @StayHomeWithNatalieNicole
      @StayHomeWithNatalieNicole  4 года назад +2

      I’ve made one for a gas stove before, so what I did was make the board as usual. And then went to Lowe’s and picked up some cabinet feet. I believe it was $2 per foot. And then you have to drill wholes for the screw to go through on the bottom corners of the stove top cover. I also applied gorilla glue for better hold. I wish I had a picture of it! But it was about 3 inches high

      Kelly Barlow Creations has a video on how to do this for a gas stove and you should be able to get the stuff from the dollar tree

      You are so welcome my dollar tree didn't have the products that she uses in her video so I walked around the store and I came up with bamboo cutting boards 10 of them and wooden rulers for extra support and those long skinny wood pieces that have cute sayings on them that you can stack for decor to raise it high enough 😉

    did you add a top coat of poly or anything to protect the board or to seal the paint?

    • @StayHomeWithNatalieNicole
      @StayHomeWithNatalieNicole  4 года назад +1

      I used a protective top coat that came in a cabinet restoration kit. It’s basically Polycrylic

    I noticed your work table is a pool table. I asked my husband if I could use that as a work bench! His was response was no way!!! I am going to make a stove board though.

    I make these for a living and i always stain to dark. Any advice is greatly appreciated

    • @danielmyers5567
      @danielmyers5567 3 года назад +1

      If you make these for a living Jon, don’t follow these directions at all! The process used was too labor intensive for a shop and many practical shortcuts are available that won’t take away from the beauty of the final product. Follow these directions in the video and calculate your labor and you’ll see your profitability get eaten up

    hi natalie, i'm having a hard time finding front screw handles that I like. you started with the project showing a different set of black handles. did you end up not using those because the screws were too short and aligning the screws would be difficult? just wondering if there was a solution to using those handles with back screws. thanks so much for your reply!

    • @StayHomeWithNatalieNicole
      @StayHomeWithNatalieNicole  4 года назад +1

      I honestly have no clue, I do know at my Lowe’s is was $6 for a 12 foot board of it. You can choose whatever kind of wood you prefer for it! I just went with the lightest and cheapest one!
