I've watched numerous video's on DIY stove top covers and this is by far the best. My stove is old and although I do clean it, I can never get it to look the way I want it to. This is an awesome idea and I will definitely be doing this. I was so excited about your husband cutting the edge pieces for you because my husband has all of the tools necessary to do the same for me. This is so awesome, especially since the prices of everything have skyrocketed. Thanks for sharing.
For the past few days I've watched dozens of stove top cover tutorials and this one is by far the best! Thank you so much for making this project and showing that it can be done cheap, easy and stylish!
I am making one of these boards for my stovetop ,I bought a ? Board at wall mart in the sewing and arts department looks like ? But I like your idea better ! Thank you for sharing your wonderful ideas with us and I like the handles you used on your board better then others I have seen ! Not saying they weren’t nice they are !
My friend you are Amazing! This item is so much better than I have seen in the stores. I love how you have the initial under the name! You need to own a store! I love your work!! Thank you
AB FAB dupe! 1st TY 4 making something we can all do - I can't take it when an easy diy includes ur own Bandsaw, Cricut, etc which I'd ♡ but $$$ 😏 2nd it really is easy nuff 🤩 4 most 2 actually recreate & gorgeous!! 3rd ur hubby helping 🥰 is the best!!! JD, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I actually do have a CRICUT but because I know not many people have one, I do everything by hand to show that you don't necessarily need one😝 thank you for such kind words😘😘 and PS- I have the BEST hubby in the world! Best man you'll ever meet so thank you for that too🤣🤣
Yes more are on the way!!! I don't really do Valentine's day decor but will probably bring a few things but I'll have to get some ideas because I don't usually set up for that holiday because its not like a major holiday🤣 but if enough people want it then I definitely will😉 but yes more farmhouse will be coming soon. Friday is last minute, quick and sentimental gifts, and Monday I'm thinking last min gift wrapping🤷🏽♀️ who knows🤣🤣
Best DIY noodle board I've seen done so far. You are very Talented and I'm going to be making one of these as soon as I can go out from my house without the worry of what is going on in this world rt now with this virus. Prayers to everyone!!!!
Im so glad I clicked your video I've seen one with foam board and been looking to see how safe it was even googled heat safe paint GURLLLL you saved me measurements too yes I am now a subscriber
So crazy I found this same thing on Pintrest yesterday and I told my husband he just has to make me one. So glad I found your channel! Thanks for the how to on this I want to make my mom one for Mother's Day that has a Sunflower on it she loves sunflowers.
O I love this!!!! My hubby did my kitchen cabinet doors with a really pale pink chalk paint with an antique glaze on top {our whole house is like vintage shabby chic, pale pinks, sage green, victorian-ish, etc...} we are only renting for now so we weren't gonna invest in NEW cabinets so this was the next best thing. I know it probably SOUNDS hideous, but I'm in LOVEEEEE with them! And I think the sink came off of Noah's Ark because it's that really old, heavy, cast iron or SOMETHING..... It's white but it's so old that it's got little chips of the white missing here and there so I DID hate it until I saw people actually "diy-ING" things that basically look just like that so I decided that I actually ended up liking it. Lol, {I just REALLLLLY do need a new faucet and handles because these are soooo old that my husband LITERALLY can't fix them any more. { and there's really NOTHING he can't fix, even if it's just "rig'd up} he's used EVERYTHING in his "plumbing arsenal" /trying to keep them from leaking but we've also got those old a$$ PIPES===8 so there's only so much you can do once all the threads are stripped out of everything. ANYHOO, I saw something similar to this YEARSSSS AGO on PINTEREST but in the colors that match my kitchen and I've been wanting to make one ever since I saw it!
I love this and definitely will be making this and a few other things I have in mind for my kitchen. Might even make some for gifts for some family members. Thanks for sharing and God bless!
BEAUTIFUL, hoping I make time to make this. Would you recommend some sort of "glosser" ,Sealer like decoupage?? This would also be such an awesome free Home Depot DIY project. 😊
I honestly didn't have triple thick verathane which is what I would recommend but you don't need it. You can do it if it makes you feel better or you like that look. But it's not necessary and THANK YOU so much Carmen💗😉
Sooo beautiful and high end looking, which says a lot coming from picky me! The very best hands down overall Ive seen here! I'll get Lowe's to cut it all for me and there it is! Thank you so very very much for my new Christmas present to myself!
I so appreciate you for this. Your explanation is so clear and easy. Thank you. I was going to buy one but knew I could do it myself. I love the use of one piece of wood instead of multiple as I’ve seen in other videos. New subscriber. 😊
Hello! Question ❓. You mentioned that ur hubby had wood laying around,. Was it a "ply wood" or other type of wood, and the thickness? Inches high? Thank you
Absolutely LOVE this dupe! I've been wanting a stove cover like this and like you they are way too expensive to purchase. Am definitely going to make one! Thanks sooo much for sharing! Merry Christmas!
I love this!! Thank you so much for sharing how you made it! Was the larger piece of wood finished plyboard? I would love to make my grandmother one. And yours doesn’t look super heavy either! Thanks again! You Rock!☮️💗
Hey Candace!! I honestly have no idea what kind of wood🤣🤣 my hubby had it in his stash but I do know if you go to home Depot or Lowe's they have already cut pieces or even scrap pieces for cheap, measure your stove and they'll cut it for you😍
I love this, thank you for sharing, this is definitely something that the bubby and I are going to partake in for our kitchen. :-) Great Job with the tutorial.
Wow your super talented! I just subscribed and YES give me all your notifications! I need this in my life. Just sent hubby to see if I need to make a trip to the store.
Oh I love this. I'm new to DIY's & came across your channel & just love everything you make. You make everything look so easy. Where are you from? I'm over on the East Coast, a small town in Massachusetts. Happy crafting 😉
@@AllthingsCrafty yes it would and not only that you know those rolling IKEA carts I have 3. can you say island topper. yeah for you yeah for me...fantastic thing.
Thank you Stacy!!! I'm so so happy to have you! Thank you for the support🙏🏼🙏🏼💗 tomorrow I have a really cool kitchen sign I made from a dollar tree sign😉😉😉
Girl, there's not much you can't do. You amaze me Everytime. How about some pictures of the new baby..... I no this is from a year ago. And the baby wasn't born yet.but still can we see some pics please.
Follow me on Instagram I share my kids in my stories. They disappear after 24 hours over there whereas here they stay unless I delete the video so I'm just trying to be mindful of their digital footprint😉
Great video. However remember when your buying something handmade like this that your paying for labor, materials and up keep of the persons tools. If they were to sell these for $15.00 dollars it wouldn't be worth it for the wood worker to make them.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 if you would read in the comments I wanted it to be cheap!!!! Not everyone can afford premium board PLUS I wanted it to be thin and light to take it on and off my stove everyday. Isn't there enough hate in the world for you to come over here where I'm not bothering a soul and say rude things. Do you really think I know nothing about wood? Because I sure do. I've had it since I made it and it's perfect, in fact it's the same way as when I made it even with small kids messing with it, jumping on it, and pulling it off the stove. Many of my subs are on a fixed income so I was asked to make this as cheap as possible. Why speak on things before you know the back story? I'll never understand internet hate for people who don't know you. THANKS!
I like your DIY video and I do appreciate you for putting this together but I do want to point out that everything you used to make this product still comes out to be more than a $15. When you add your clamps, glue, stain, stencil, paint pens, drill, etc then it comes out way more than $15. People charge $90 because they use quality wood, or their craft is actually worth that. Just sayin.
You do realize this was 2 years ago? Before the world came crashing down. Before all the prices were sky high. So you do realize I actually know how to price things and add up how much the actually cost is. Also you don't count the clamps and all the stuff you'll use in projects. I can't stand when people say oh add this that And the third to the price... No I'm not. I feel that's really dumb to included the few pennies it took to use that item for the 1,000th time. Thanks!
Idk why people keep saying this.. I wanted to use a LIGHT WOOD because I take it on and off my stove everyday. I still have this on my stove and my kids have dropped it, stepped on it and everything else.. guess what!? It is sturdy as can be and I still love it! Are you really spreading hate and rude comments on Christmas!? I will pray for your inner peace🙏🏼
Throwing shade at people that actually plane boards, make 45s to fit, and don't use plywood is a disservice to those that do. If the intent of the video was to make something out of plywood, that can't be used for anything other than deco, and someone can cut proper 45s, yes you can save money. So total time spent was 2hrs? then materials? It's a shame to the makerspace that people don't think others time and materials are worth anything.
Thanks! You can always speed it up in the right hand corner where the 3 dots are. What do you mean by too slow?Always open to constructive criticism as long as it's not rude🤷🏼♀️
