Live-wired, straight-shootin, dirty-mouth'd pelvis-pushin' juke music featuring Ty Taylor, Nalle Colt, Rick Barrio Dill and Richard Danielson
Vintage Trouble is a sensational, soulful four-man band whose very essence screams out loud of the late 1950's to 1960's. Turned on by and tuned into the evolutionary period in music and life when there was a razor thin line between Rhythm & Blues and Rock & Roll, the band reconnects us all to one universal vibration. Their modern day classics transport the mind, spirit and body back to a sweaty, swinging, heart-thumping speakeasy. Their live shows feel like a sweet southern down-home revival mixed with a gritty, downtown edge. Inspirationally, Otis Redding, Chuck Berry and Ike and Tina Turner can all be felt in woven clothe that tailor-suit the band like honey to the bee. When the buzz tells you they're near, get to them...and be prepared to be moved. - Видеоклипы
LOVE Ty's voice. Reminds me of Jackie Wilson.
...and he's been inspired by some of Jackie's moves!
Does anyone else remember seeing this when it aired on tv?! I nearly spit out my drink. What a performance!
That ranks up there with Sturgill on SNL
Yes, watched it and had to show my brother this performance! Excellent!!
YES! I was shocked that someone was playing music like this......it was like it was too good to be on TV.
This comment was 4 years ago, and I still remember.
Yes! Excellent performance!!
This just kicked Letterman's head in. He went from introducing some L.A. band to just losing it. This was a great moment. Wow is right. They tore that place up.
The shot of the singer standing up on the seat in the audience--phenomenal!
some lead singers just have that "thing". This dude's got it.
Gary H he sure does mate...
jup
Gary H not that goid
Just saw them at a blues festival, and he was absolutely amazing, in fact the whole band was! He had the crowd in the palm of his hand-and this was a kind of blasé, subdued Orange County, California crowd-not rude, just quiet and not used to interacting with an entertainer. He actually crowd surfed, trusting people to send him back up to the stage on their upraised hands (he had run to the back of the crowd) and had us singing along with many of the songs, having an absolutely wonderful time! I have never been to a more joyous and wonderful performance. He worked the crowd like nobody I’ve seen, and the band exuded such great passion, even in their quiet numbers. This was literally one of the best musical performances I’ve ever seen, and I have seen many top level bands over the last 45 years.
This vocalist got some chills!
I'm an old guy, and damn, these guys ROCK!
I don't know why this band ain't bigger than they are. I'm a full flesh metalhead but this band rocks!!!!
Rock & Roll like it’s nobody’s business.
And the longest mic cord I’ve ever seen
When Dave asks you to play again that should seal your career.
More than 20 years ago, Ty Taylor danced with fellow student from Montclair High, diane rogers at our Montclair Community Band Concert. He is still touring in 2018.
To this day this remains the greatest performance on Letterman.
I always say the exact same thing! I have probably watched this 100 times and never ceases to make my day.
Nah. It's good, though.
@@ChrisLawton66 You have to follow up your “Nah”, with who you think is the greatest performance on Letterman. I’m curious since so many may agree with you 100% 🤷♀️
@@leeleemee They are good, but St. Paul and the Broken bones was really fantastic. Larger number of great songs, too.
@@gordon4385 Thank you. I love great music and great performances. I appreciate the response 😘.
"Hey what do you want for a stage?"
"Uh yea how about a white tarp thing and we blow the lid off the place."
Just met the lead singer in a hotel in Leeds, absolutely fantastic bloke. I wish everyone in the world had a little bit of him in them……what a wonderful place it would be ❤
Saw them open for The Who in 2012. They were hanging out in the merchandise booth after their set. Really cool guys. They had a great set.
Haven't been this impressed by a rock band in a long long time
If someone gets that kind of approval from David Letterman they must be quite something else. Wow! Well done 👏
He's part Tom Jones, part James Brown and part Sly Stone. Really good. Band slams.
Never knew they existed. Just became a fan. Outstanding front man. Outstanding guitar player. Outstanding drummer. And how do you like that an actual bass player.
Yeah man, same here, only 9 months later !
What a wonderful thing to see, good old aggressive Rock n Roll !
"actual bass player"? As opposed to the literal thousands of other actual bass players?
Watch the video of them at Gibson Studio few weeks ago.
This is a rock and roll band. Rhythm section like a mother fucker.
Seen them five times, always great. If they come near you go see them you won’t be disappointed.
The spirit of rock and roll will never die - a fantastic performance.
Like Tom Jones on amphetamines.
This man has brought joy back in to my life. Did you see the look on Letterman's face at the end? Even he was impressed.
Watched these guys break out of the clubs in Santa Monica. I am not surprised at ALL by their success. Who's a better frontman than Ty Taylor? The answer is NO ONE. REAL rock n roll will NEVER DIE!
Holy crap! How are these guys not more famous? Blew the roof off with that performance
I first saw them live when they were opening for THE WHO, Quadrophenia tour. I just saw the Honda commercial and thought, man that looked and sounded like VT. Sure enough - "Today is Pretty Great by Vintage Trouble". Great live band and like their "The Bomb Shelter Sessions" album from last year. Continued success to them, they deserve it.
Of all the musical artists I've seen perform on The Late Show with David Letterman since 1993, this performance by Vintage Trouble from 2012 is the absolute best!
I mean your right but, Kenny Wayne shepherd is right up there.
I saw The Heavy - How You Like Me Now and that is by far my favorite. This is a close 2nd
THIS IS A GREAT FRONTMAN. THIS IS GOOD MUSIC. AMEN.
Very rarely do you see Dave that impressed. This and the one with The Heavy (How You Like Me Now) are the only ones I can remember where he asked to band to perform it again.
Whenever I hear people say that new music is all crap nowadays, I show them these guys
I bet it convinces them.....
He's a good singer but it's all been done before. I'd rather listen to the originals.
***** Yes, they are the exception to so much of the music today. There is a good amount of talent out there. Unfortunately, there are to many mediocre singers in the spotlight. I love this band. Makes me think of Tower of Power, one of my all time favorite bands. Reminds me of the great music I grew up listening to. And still listen to today.
Harold-Sweat-Head Judging by that tame remark sir you are obviously...DEAD
***** that´s a good idea to prove that new music is all crap........ Geez what bull s h i t e is that?? And the worst thing is, I have to suffer >45 minutes of that crap at the AC/DC concert in July in London.....
Holy shit! How did I miss this all these years?? These boys seriously rock!!
Amazeballz! I come back here when I need a pick me up. 💙💛 Letterman and VT
Can’t believe there’s not more than 1M views on this?! I’ve watched it more than 100x! Bad ass tune man! These guys opened for AC\DC back in the day & were killin it!
I discovered this band a few years after the AC/DC tour in 2015.
When I searched for tickets for Vintage Trouble I noticed that they did play as warm up band for AC/DC.
I was literally right there at the same time as Vintage Trouble was at the location without realizing it and did not hear them play because I was only interested in AC/DC at the moment I was there :/
I saw them open for The Who in Oakland.
When I saw this, I thought it was the single greatest performance in the history of Letterman. Still do.
Letterman had no idea what he was cutting lose on that stage that night.
SWEET !
Love these guys! Heard them on a Honda commercial. Whoooda thunk? Just bought The Bomb Shelter Sessions for my sweetie for Valentine's Day. If that doesn't say love, I don't know what does! Can't wait to see them live at the best place ever - Red Rocks in Morrison, CO!
Where have these guys been hiding? Guitar player awesome sound! Meat and potatoes kickass Rock and roll!
Love the suits too!
When have you EVER seen a standing ovation after? Wow. Truly the best live performers I've EVER seen. Cuts deep down to my soul they do.
One word, AWESOME!
“That’s all ya want! That’s all ya want, huh?”
Dave enjoyed the shit out of that.
Amazing band! I love that they perform in suits. So much class!
Never seen such a wild performance since James Brown in Ed Sullivan in '65. Are these guys wild or what?! Real Deal!
Just saw these guys open up for AC/DC in NJ and they kicked ass. Was surprised to find out the lead singer was the guy that was on Rockstar:INXS about 10 years ago. He had charisma in spades.
Lol-ing because that crowd was NOT READY. Can't wait to see them live!
These Guys were the Pre-Gig for AC/DC in Berlin, Germany! Best Concert ever !
I was watching this show as it aired, and for the first time in I don't KNOW how long, I thought........damn, looks like all the great front men aren't dead, after all.
Одна из лучших песен что я слышал для себя👍!diese ein Lied ist Besser.Danke fur ihre Video👋✌
Episode 84 of Live From Daryl's House brought me here. I really liked Ty Taylor's song Another Man's Words and their cover of the Spinner's I'll Be Around was great, but this Letterman performance was a whole other level
Wow. He's got that Jackie Wilson thing going on. They need to do a hard rock version of Lonely Teardrops.
Exactly! Most people say "James Brown", but I said from the first time I saw them "They're the Black Crowes meets Jackie Wilson!"
Great observation 😀
Saw them open for AC/DC last night. They are the real deal.
This is simply the definition of Rock n' Roll.
Still kills me
Every time!
Since Retiring Dave says he misses hearing Live Music Every night .....Love Dave Look for Letterman Laughs On FB ;)
This band killed it, singer moved the audience - i'm musically in love right now
Such a massive sound that 3-piece band is kicking out!
These cats rocked! Didn't get their name when on Letterman and took this long looking through musical guests to find them!
Yeah, I almost fell down my stairs, when I heard something AMAZING exploding on Letterman!
Holy crap! It wore me out just to watch this video. What energy and talent .... Nalle Colt on guitar is great, the rhythm section is spot on and lead singer Ty Taylor looks like he's about to explode. Great stuff!!
Thank you Mike
Oh my God, my head is actually on fire. WOW. What a band!
my bad period is over thanks to the group "vintage trouble."
Thank you for evidence that roc'n'roll is still alive. Thank you.
❤After seeing on Letterman got CD& then saw again @ fest near Clearwater, FL
I've been watching Letterman consistently for the last 10 years, and around two or three times he has asked a new band to actually close the show instead of his band. This is powerful stuff!!
Opened up for The Who a few years ago... KILLED IT!! Real deal right here folks...
Fell in love with the Honda Commercial "Today Song" but after this performance I have to say these guys are amazing!
Saw them @ Tipitina's NOLA met all bands members have pic with their autographs ❤
Their energy is off the hook. love them!!!
Going to see the band in Glasgow tonight. Real talent.
This is the first time I saw them ever! Now, I can't tell you how many times I've seen them live. Great band, great people!
They are still together?!
They were in full force last night at Dodger Stadium, last show in North America for ACDC. Epic. Definitely I left a fan.
Was upstairs when I heard this band on Letterman & almost fell down the steps! WOW! I became an instant fan! Haven't seen this much talent in ages (& I work with musicians!) Went to see them when they came to Philly (with their huge Vintage Trouble bus outside) several times, & also when they played a private show at Musicians Institute in Hollywood (had an 'in' with my sister teaching there!) They make a point to hang out with the crowd...great guys...AMAZING talent! ♥ OH YEAH!!!!!!
How have I not heard of this band!!!!! I'm posting this in 2018...just saw them on ACL.
it's nice to hear a throwback to Motown mixed in with rock and roll. these guys are so talented. guy reminds me of Otis Redding/Jackie Wilson/Wilson Pickett.
Bluesbroad brought me here. The future of the blues, unfolding before my ears. Great group.
Love this band & the singer!! Love his vocals & James Brown moves!! He was on either American Idol or the Voice starting out!!
This performance just blew up my mind. Pure attitude on stage. They FEEL what the play, and that's a lot said these days. Amazing.
Real musicians playing GREAT music !! Love it. I hope to catch your show soon.
Last year, saw them open for The Who in Atlantic City, then saw them again at Austin City Limits. KICK. ASS.
BOTH times, Ty Taylor ran through the audience...and BOTH times, I was lucky enough to get a high-five from him. Love these guys!
This band and the foo fighters were the best to grace the stage on the letterman show period
Love the James Brown Feel..Awesome Energy and Vocals ת
Saw them warming up for AC/DC this summer and then went to their concert this November in Copenhagen. It was simply amazing! I am a fan! Their live shows are amazing not to mention, of course, their music is amazing!
THAT ROCKS!!!!!!!! Great band!
They opened for AC/DC here in Finland and kicked ass! :D
+finnishguy845 Totally. Much better than Santa Cruz :D
Same here in Canada
+master velociraptor That was a hell of a show last night!
+Andrew Finlay I know right!
+finnishguy845 Same in SF tonight! Awesome job! Explosive! Thank you for the great show!
So much talent on that stage. Amazing!!!
haven't seen a front-man with this kind of energy in ages. love it. keep it up
I love it! I felt like...you know...that thing real Rock & Roll does to you.
Absolutely nailed it - Perfect Live Performance ! I was done hook, line and sinker after I saw this (went straight out and bought Bomb Shelter Sessions).
Lead singer reminds me of Jerry Lewis when he would dance for hip jazz routines and comedy skits Jerry had fast legs like that. It's no wonder I discovered these kind hearted guys jammin for Jerrys Kids and MD on a vintage collection of MD recordings on TUBI TV app for Android.
I love this song! imagine being there. it would've been so cool!
This is by far the best band I have seen in the last years!
Phenomenal!!!!!!!!!
I saw them opening for AC/DC in Paris three days ago. They set the whole stadium on fire!
Now this is a PERFORMANCE! Letterman was blown away. This is how it's done.
Vintage Trouble are such a joy to watch as well as listen to, great musicianship and showmanship
the drummer is amaziiing
Just saw these guys open for ACDC in Moncton. Fantastic live act. Great mash up of blues, slide blues, rock, and James Brown. Tight!
youtube
I also saw them at Austin City Limits festival on Saturday. They freakin kicked ass. Definitely getting myself an album. Whooooooa!
Totally unreal about time we have some good real music with a whole lot of fun love u guys kill out there.😘
The best to ya.
That may be one of the best front men I've ever seen.
So many chills that I’m now freezing. Thanks VT. 👍🏻
greatest thing I've seen in years.
love the guitar tone
Love that guitar tone...
🙏🏻
I show this to all my musician friends to show them how awesome you guys are. Turned them all into Troublemakers instantly. You guys rock!
Saw these guys back up the Who in I think 2013 or 2014. Man, they were good.
Amazing band! Keep rockin on
Marty McFly at drums! BIG BAND!
Led Zeppelin meets James Brown. One of the all-time greatest performances on Letterman. Hell....one of the best parts of this video was Letterman's and the audience reactions.
I love his energy!!
