Hi Dave & Logan, Just been watching your New Forest Walk Castleman’s Corkscrew video…. Love the footage of the old steam train thundering along! Really appreciate the effort you make to source information & pictures of where you go, it must take quite a bit of time & effort. Also watched the Muddy Dog video yesterday… well done to you and Fiver. X
Good evening Dave a very enjoyable video it was strange that you could not visit the church as it was on private land i presume that it is because its not in use but still very enjoyable not like you to find the rain but not to much cracking scenery and a lovely pint at the end and some crisp for logan just brilliant.
Dave ...such a great walk . Dorset is beautiful and if i ever get to your lovely country it is on the top my list to see. The countryside is where i would most love to see. The city is great but i am a country girl. The amazing churches and countryside just gives me this peaceful feel. Love it all Dave. Give Logan a hug and thanks so much for all that you and Logan do for us all.Take care❤
Properly in Hardy country there! I loved the last church with those wonderful wall paintings. Some troublesome paths there so you earned that pint at the end! And Logan his crisps.
Now I’m a man of leisure (retired) I enjoy watching your weekly video shortly after it’s uploaded. Today with the snow blowing past my window here in Scotland I was especially envious of your walk in Dorset. I did wonder whether you’d ever inadvertently hit your camera while throwing Logan’s ball. Then I thought, ‘don’t be churlish Mark, Dave’s a seasoned professional, he wouldn’t do that.’
Thank you for another lovely walk Dave & Logan. Shame your ‘no rain record’ was broken but still an impressive number of dry walks! I look forward to watching the next walk 🙂
Lovely walk Dave. Thank you. I live locally in Dorchester , so you were well and truly on my "home patch"! Nice reminder of summer on a grey November day. Unlucky with the "rogue" shower though. Happens to the best of us. I think there is public access to the church at Came. Not on an official footpath, but you can walk up the drive to the house as far as the church to visit it.
Another nice walk Dave and Logan😀 I was born and raised in West Stafford in the old rectory, didn’t know it was mentioned Highways of Dorset! I was also christened in the church and used to play in the winterborne shown 8.06 so lovely to see some parts of my childhood in one of your walks👍
Thank you Dave and Logan for taking us to a very lovely part of the country. You guys did really well with those footpaths that were overgrown! That was a proper shower eh? Glad it didnt stop your walk! We are always amazed at the wonderful weather you take with you! Those Geese put on a brilliant show eh?😊 Lovely! And wonderful Logan having plenty of fun and of course Blackberries! Yay!
Another lovely walk, Dave - thank you! You may have thought that the Canada geese (not Canadian) were a beautiful sight, but I don't think the farmer would agree. Those birds are a terrible pest, and each one can eat as much in a day as a sheep can. They are not fussy over what they eat, either. Even here in New Zealand they have established themselves in large numbers, and pest controllers can't keep up with them.
Super walk and views. Used to drive around those villages in our younger days! You can report the disgraceful overgrown footpaths to the Council and they will get it sorted. I've done it in my local area a few times in the past. They even keep you updated as to progress!
Hi Dave & Logan 👋🏻 I’m new to the channel and very much enjoying your content! Another lovely countryside walk, it’s been years since I’ve visited Max Gate 🧡 Do you have any walks planned over the festive season?🎄
Thank you & indeed welcome to the channel. I have walks filmed, edited & scheduled to go out every Friday up to February 2025 at the moment. I tend to film the walks between March & October, using November to February to do the research & have a break. However I do make a few "Winter" walks - I filmed a lovely walk this week at Old Sarum (sunshine, blue sky but very cold!). I usually put out a "festive" walk during Christmas week! Thanks for watching.
@ Looking forward to watching your regular Friday videos and to the occasional winter walk! The ‘festive’ walk you have planned sounds lovely and I quite understand the need for a break (especially as it’s cold this time of year!) Thanks for the effort and research you put into each video. Very enjoyable 🧡
So many beautiful churches in Dorset. What lovely open countryside near Dorchester. Thanks for e✨🌟👌
Thank you Jenny :)
What a lovely video this is on my doorstep glad some things haven't changed
Thank you. It is a beautiful part of the county for sure.
Another lovely walk to cheer up a very wet and windy day. The sunflowers were a joy to behold. Thank you Dave and Logan.
Thank you Lynn. Always lovely to see sunflowers - they seem so happy plants!

Thank you. Yes, Fiver enjoys his running and indeed we do a few Canicross Races together!
All that delight, to end up in a garden made of Astro Turf. What a funny time we live in.
Cheers chaps.
Yes, it was a bit odd!
Haha I spotted that😂
Thanks Dave, have that ale on me! Cheers
Thank you Mike - that is very kind of you. As always, thanks for watching.
Thank you another lovely walk.
Thank you Catherine.

Thank you Craig. We were lucky with the rain ..... it was only a brief shower!
beautiful views along the trails, so neat to see old wood signs and posts showing the way to go to these villages
I do love some of those "old" signs.

It was a lovely church to visit. Shame that it was so close to such a busy road though!

Thank you Mark. I have to admit that I am getting more clumsy as I get older!
@@DaveFord I have that problem in the bathroom at night too.
Thank you for another lovely walk Dave & Logan. Shame your ‘no rain record’ was broken but still an impressive number of dry walks!
I look forward to watching the next walk 🙂
Thank you Vicky. Luckily it was just a passing shower!

Thanks for the information about access to the church at Winterborne Came. It certainly looks like an interesting church to visit.

If the light was fading , that cut-out of William Barnes would be a bit scary .
Yes, it gave me a bit of a fright when I first went in!

Thanks for the tip about reporting the footpath - it was a tight squeeze!
Great video, i fjnd your work, atmospheric, you really take us on a journey with you. Very informative 👏
Thank you & indeed thanks for watching.
