the way you just illustrated the concept of “painting” type of authors and “pencil” type of authors and tying it all down to music and just the entire analogy was actual some of the most critical thinking i’ve heard about art in general and it has like kinda planted a seed for me to dive deeper into art and look out for the styles you talk talked on.

You gotta read The Portrait of a Lady by Henry James if you haven’t already. British Lit done RIGHT. he’s one of the best writers I’ve ever read and his sentences 😍😍😍😍 he picks up on the tiny details that say so much
