Ghozal showing his care for his fellow demons is remarkable, however his brother doesn't seem to understand and craves for battle. Filo slowly understanding the distain between humans and demons.
Yeah Ghozal’s brother seemed more like your typical dark one. And yeah Filo is understanding that this world can also be pretty hard on discrimination just like his previous one

Yeah I thought the princess knew that Filo was the hero that the king foolishly banished. When the sacrifice collars appeared, they stated that they needed to find the true hero, so color me surprised that they didn’t put two and two together until this episode
The conversation during the next episode preview was pretty funny. Rys and Ulim telling Bali about how demons prefer their women “feisty and a little evil” actually made me think. Sure, we knew that Gholl thought that Bali was spunky for a human when she pulled her sword on him and didn’t faint while sitting right beside him, even when he was going full Dark Lord. But the fact that she keeps dreaming about him conquering the world for her might indicate that she is a little closer to the naughty side than she might be comfortable with.😂
I love the 3 girls with Balirossa were pushing the ship as well lmao. Pretty funny how Ghozal being interested in her made them realize he's not such a bad guy. Still wonder what his brother is gonna do, go after Flio or right after Ghozal.
Also the hug at the end was sweet.
If he goes after Flio, he’ll understand why Gholl isn’t wanting to push this pacifist real quick. On the other hand, if he goes after Gholl directly, Gholl might not even fight him on it. Honestly, Gholl is stuck between a rock and a hard place. He has to rule a belligerent people that he genuinely cares about, while at the same time managing their desire for a war he honestly doesn’t believe in. With how many times Ulim has been warning him about how the demons aren’t happy how he’s managing the war front, I’m beginning to wonder if they even deserve such a good ruler.
@@coltonwilliams4153 Yeah now Flio's getting the rude awakening that while he may not be picking a side, the war will still affect him and those he cares about even if not directly.
A lot of things do get foreshadowed. The Princess was only told that Flio was the "True" hero and not that he was the one summoned.
Another thing was when Flio confessed to Rhys she asked for him to change his form back to his original and he refused saying that this was who he is now.
You can see Balirossa slowly changing her mind and more than likely will be siding with her man (Demon?) in his fight with his brother.
That scene with the rock flinging in her face had me howling as well. The sound she made when she got hit was hilarious
It's worth pointing out that the high levels of trashiness (which I saw people moaning about) shown by the fake hero in the first few episodes pay off so well as the series goes on. It's much more fun seeing everything go wrong for him because we feel how much he deserves it because he's such a trash character. A nice degree of 'build-up and pay-off'.
I was looking forward to Ghozal having finally found them but it's unfortunate that the lunch gathering was soured, I hope we see a more cheerful meeting soon. I wasn't expecting Flio's identity to already be discovered by the royal family, it looks like more trouble is going to come to Flio soon but then again, he's been very firm in his position so it might not be too concerning. I do hope to see the King apologize to him. Yuigarde's subordinate being such a masochist was so funny, those moans were taking me out. I don't think I have seen a character gain pleasure from someone's stomps.
RIP Former Hero. Witnessed good quality booty right before death. We can say he ascended to heaven before falling into hell. Lol so now Balirossa is dreaming of Ghozal, this is a good sign for the Ghozal x Balirossa ship! It's funny how after he doesn't appear much she starts dreaming of him, here is hoping the wall between humans and demons breakdown so that the ship has more reason to sail lol.
am surprise about that particular booty, I mean home girl been his ride or die since the beginning. I thought she was a golddigger yet she has stuck with him even after being toss into prison.
@@Marveryn I read a bit ahead in the manga after that Rys death scene a few episodes ago so, little spoiler below...
She mentions later on that there's been a lot of moments where he could have abandoned her, but didn't and that he looked cool when he broke down the door of her jail cell. She seems to be quite fond of him, despite his idiocy and him getting them into trouble nonstop.
@@NinjaSyao when we first meet her i had assume she was a demon spy or a goldigger. but the fact she has stuck with him after he was dimissed from being a hero while also still calling him a hero when the kingdom no longer recognize him as such tell me she in this for the long haul.
I also find it interesting that the system summon him as well as the mc. Seem summon are giving a lot of power but we dont know if there a criteria on their moral code when selected. not sure which episode it was. we learn the original dark one was also a hero so they dont need to fight for humanity which make the summoning spell a hit and miss thing.
@@Marveryn Another issue with this system is that in the first episode they said the 198th hero candidate summon was succesful when they summoned Flio. Didn't say if Shovel Hero was 199 or 197, but atleast 196 other people have been summoned sofar.
Are we talking 198 people recently? 198 from the start of the original dark one's appearance? Were all those people also sent to the woods or just straight up executed? Are some of them still alive and perhaps out for revenge if they were treated like dirt like Flio was? Not to mention these people were suddenly ripped from their original worlds to begin with, that alone would be enough to royally piss off most people >.<

He had what was basically a decanter of endless water. Dude is straight up Rather Exceptionally Tarnished At Rational Decision Evaluation & Doing. He literally could have filled the hole with water and floated/swam up.

what I'm getting is the first hero sided with the demons and became a dark one, I'm guessing Ghozal is that's persons descendant and that genuinely the goal of the first hero is create a place for the demons, and currently our MC's purpose now is to create cohabitation I guess showing both sides that they could exist without destroying eachother.
So the former hero can escape from jail but he can’t escape a giant hole that’s funny.😂

i think the first apology was about the king being heavy handed in trying to recruit him and sending the "hero" to arrest him. i think she did have suspicions flio was the banished hero but didnt have confirmation until now. honesly really feel bad for her having to constantly try to clean up her fathers selfish screw up
That was what she apologized to him for. How they tried pressuring him to join with the hero. As far as she knew they had sent (him) the other summoned to the demon forest to die. So, she had no clue he was the one summoned.
"Hero! I'm trying to climb up, but I'm dummy thic, and the weight of my ass cheeks is holding me down!"
Honestly, when I read the manga like half a year ago, I randomly came across it and I really liked it. I thought it was really well written, and when I got an anime, I was really excited.
You could argue that the former Hero didn't take any of the gold because if he were to use it, it could get tracked back to him.
Gholl's problem would be solved by either Mando, Old Spice Body Wash or Axe Body Wash.
Balirossa asking Rys how she fell in love with Flio and all the girls joining in asking, and at the end... Flio is standing there, right behind them, blushing.
I don't know why, but that scene made me laugh so hard. Especially after Balirossa's dream/nightmare.
But yes. She may be reluctant, and she has to iron some well-though issues regarding the coexistence of Humans and Demons, but Balirossa is the future queen. Fight me.
Just waiting to see how the brother fails miserably, and Team Rocket gets out of their current pit to dig themselves a new one with their Shovel Knight Shovel Blade.

I thought for sure that the bottomless bag was going to be bug and it teleport back, like ep1 was supoed to be
Really did love this episode, with it sometimes goofy and sometimes more serious character moments. Like for the more goofy moments I love the scenes with our entitled ex-hero that is not that bright and his maid. In how they are so funny as he did grab a bottomless bag. But instead of filling it with gold that he had nearby. He just took for granted that it already had lot of it inside it. Then he barely escape from the guards chasing him as he dug a deep hole to hide. Which caused a problem for them as now they were trapped there. And I loved the fan service scenes as he and his maid tried to escape. And how much they did focus on the plot there which I first thought that she would fall on top of him. But instead he get so distracted by looking at her “cake”🍑 that he did fall back into the bottom of the pit.
Then I really also loved how Balirossa is crushing on the dark one now. As she did wake up screaming from her dream of marrying him. But I was surprised how her team mates was able to sleep though all of her screaming. Then the next morning everyone is gushing over her romantic feeling for the dark one as they ship them just like us. Later Balirossa is offering Fenrys and our boy a meal but the dark one show up. Making it a double date of sort and Hiya is there as a fifth wheel which is kind of funny. But they also did bring up some more serious topics about humans and demons living together. And how that may not always be such a good option
Someone told me in a comment-section that the King never finds out our MC was the banished Hero. Technically, that guy who said that isn't wrong yet. The King is still recovering. But I figured the kingdom was NEVER going to find out he was the banished Hero because of that one comment. Glad they figured it out.
I can't comment on the princess comments because I read theLNs covered by the show so far. It is a good ahow so far though.
Keep the great episodes coming! I'm glad they this anime is faithful to the LN/manga adaptation.
Non-Spoiler Notes:
-The succubus, Phufun, as you guessed, is a masochist (as bad as Darkness and Tio), and very much devoted to Yuigard.
-That shovel ends up being quite useful for the Blond Hero and Tsuya, especially in escaping.
-Balirossa's conflict with her upbringing beliefs and her heart's desire has been handled well.
Yeah the succubus is like that in the manga. XD Also some of the other stuff coming up, will be interesting as well. And yes they are sorta like jessie and james, the former hero and his waifu. But it's if jessie and james were in a relationship. XD
This is one of the few mangas I purchase. I was surprised to see an anime of it. I thought the title was too long in an arena of ludicrously long names.

Some reason i was actually tearing up near the end of this because of how things are between demons and humans, something Flio might actually want to change if he can. Playing peacemaker sucks.
Oh no, I was the same, I had no clue she didn't know 😂. Today's episode was funny with some good fan service at the end. Emphasis on end🍑. I have to say I was wondering why the girl was moaning when the dark lords brother was shaking the ground and then the last one I realized, a she's a M. Lastly once again I love the Ballirosa stuff, I can't wait to see where it goes

That was hilarious. But to me, she reminded me of the green haired alchemist from Re:Monster. I guess you were right about the ex hero being used for comedic relief. Although I’d like for him to eventually die. I feel their antics might get old.

I enjoyed this episode and from this episode on, I'm anime only since we've moved past LN 1. (The shovel stuff for hero boy was an epilogue though). Like where it's going.

@@robertsilvermyst7325 technically we did not witness the act cause this is not a hentai, but it clear they may do it without letting the audience know as they are clearing being more affectionate with each other in public. all the other girls are jealous but you got to give it to the author as he has not introduce harem possibility. Every time one of them seem to sneak a possible move our wolf girl is there to correct them immediately. So at least in this one we got best girl and all the girl being ignore by the mc who not looking for a side chick.
This is the one thing I don't like in this adaptation. Sure it's kind of funny to portray a dense MC, but not very interesting. Pretty sure that based on the source material, Rys saying they are married for real in the previous episode is supposed to be a hint that they threw jinn out and then proceeded with their previous plans. Meanwhile in the LN she rejected the idea of a fake marriage immediately and while things were kept pg13 it was clear they were intimate all along.
Well, he does, but before you complain about him not clapping those cheeks quickly enough. Remember that this show often plants key details you won't "get" until much later.
SPOILERS
The princess eventually becomes the milf maiden queen and girlfriend to Fenrys and Flio's son Garyl (named after his late uncle Fengaryl), while Garyl is still in elementary school. Half-demons mature a lot faster than humans do, you see, so Garyl is more like 18 in half-demon years, even though he still looks like a kid of his human year in age. So how has Elizabeth fallen in love with somebody who looks like a little kid? Well, you see, Garyl can transform into his "full adult" dog-year human form.
I'll leave it to you to connect the dots on his mom.
