- ■ INDIA, AHMEDABAD: Ever since I started sampling the Gujarati street food around Ahmedabad people have been telling me their favorite is actually Punjabi dishes. I've therefore long since wanted to put this to the test, but how? I don't know what Punjabi street food even looks like! Luckily today I ran into a stall selling a Punjabi potato dish by pure accident. So was it really better than the Gujarati dishes I've had?

To anyone who doesn't know. The guy on the scooter is a gentleman indeed. He initially ordered 3 parathas but made it 4 so that the Paratha guy could make a fresh one for Harald to film.

no man..they are poor but very hard working people...they start from the evening 7 pm onwards and they wait for their money and the late rituals by 5- am generally...I am a wedding photographer ...so i know their pain....their earning are very less...and they depend on these skills...

all humans with basic communication skills repeat often words with the person being spoken to. you probably also do it unconsciously..... it creates less social distance between them and makes them feel more similar to each other.
Keep doing what you're doing. Don't listen to people who says ( don't help this don't help that) I think Harald is smart enough and he knows what he's doing. Just " cuz you're Indian doesn't mean you can tell him what to do and what not while he's in india. @V P sorry to hear about you stomach. Any city with a high indian population or any city with an ISKCON center will have suitable food. I've found most ISKCON food here to be very mild and never too greasy.

the orchestra guy was really trying with a western tune and I think it was 'tequila' but all he could get out of his trombone was a big fart.
You can't imagine the kind of poverty that Orchestra Guy lives in... Its very very low pay... They don't get to work daily and when they do... Its $5/7 at max... So you can say they live on $20 to $30 a week ... And yet he is smiling and happy! Very humble and yet proud people...these poor Indians

Those people are very nice around that area. The guy translating at the start was just so nice. I would have bought his food for him for translating. The guy at the end was nice too, "bye bye, nice to meet you".
As an Indian I would feel embarassed if someone will pay for my food just because I helped him translating the local language bro.........Its my duty to help the tourists coming to my country......and I don't expect anything in return

This is a hidden gem. You have the helpful guy on the bike ordering regular instead of spicy for harald. You have the non fussed band members cracking out English and a tune once they get their free food. Also kudos to that seller as he’s sold a dozen of those in 20 minutes and got a big tip too!

One thing about Harald is he has a very casual way of interacting - greetings and departures never seem forced or awkward, conversations never seem to linger too long or end too shortly. Makes for great travel videos.

It's not the food you eat but the food you burn . Punjabi food was meant for farmers and warriors and i am sure they knew how to burn them calories. It's just like the in the south food was cooked in pork lard.

I have 3 kids and I call them all my babies and my eldest is 7. Her baby is at least 3yrs old by the size of him. It cost him less than $2 and to buy her 2 dishes and it made him feel good.

Great video. Everyone was so kind. Even the begging woman showed her appreciation for food and did not ask for money, like a lot of them do.
I like food, and watching these street vendors making dishes i never heard of is always fun. But it is always the people that make a good video, for example the kindness of the guy that translated for Harald, the gratitude of the band and how they wanted to give something back by playing some tunes, etc. Since i already watched all of the Bald´s videos i think i will now try that with Harald, watched 2 in a row and both grabbed my attention.
