After so many Transformers films trying to be taken seriously with grim and grit, it's nice to see that we'll be getting one that just wants to be fun 😊
Agreed , although I would not be surprised if this was very tonally similar to the first spider verse movie, where if you look at the trailer and a lot of the marketing, it seems like a very similar kid oriented, jokey type movie, but in reality, it has all those fun moments, but is still a deeper and complex story with many emotional and maturity themes woven in as well, and I really wouldn’t be surprised if we got a lot of the same with this movie
The dog robot is actually alpha trion hes had this altmode before and the bot that has the decepticon face mask is most likely the fallen or megatronus

I don't really know how Megatron's/D-16's story would work without him being a gladiator first. And it doesn't seem like he is/will be a gladiator in this movie. (him and Orion met while Megatron was a gladiator in the aligned, and prime continuity) If your speculation is true, and Megatron will get the leader position from starscream I don't see how he will be able to beat Starscream without any kind of combat training (because for now he is just a simple mining/working robot)
Also the dog looking creature form 23:41 is Alpha Trion. The Transformers one mainline toys were revealed, and he have a picture of his altmode (some kind of qadrupedal animal with a pink horn on his forhea)
Yeah, it’s clear that they’re definitely taking some inspiration from, but this is an all new origin for the two. We know very little about Orion and D16 going into the movie, so it may not be completely out of nowhere, and we may get hints throughout the early stages of the movie before they’re able to transform with d16’s over aggression and possible anger slipping out, once he gets all juiced up with his fully formatted body, it likely makes him even more powerful, and then we see the upgrade scene with him getting his canon so by the time comes for him to take leadership and possibly fight for it, he’ll probably be all juiced up. On top of that, his mentality will likely be completely twisted, and he will be enraged by the injustices within Cybertron society, leaving him with no other thought, other than he must rise up.
the ancient being D-16 is kneeling in front of is megatronus, they're among the corpses of the original 13 primes, and why no mention of springer in the office that bee slashes up?

This is gonna be a very interesting movie. Wasn't expecting the Quitessons though. Maybe they will have Sharkticons too. Some of those sentry bots look like Vechicons from TF Prime. I wonder will we see the turbo foxes that G1 Mirage use to hunt on the surface? I'm looking forward to seeing this in the fall😊
Definitely! Also wasn’t expecting these quintesson-esque villains but I really am liking the potential for what can be explored with this movie. Would be awesome to see some of that other stuff as well

I don't think that they're continuing any kind of concurrently running continuity. This is likely a new continuity that will combine elements other continuities.
Yup I believe I saw someone who worked on this state it will be open ended with how it leaves off , possibly leaving the door open for more animated installments staying separate from live action for now
Love the trailer looks like a good movie, but still gonna die on the hill, if there is Optimus, it should be Peter Cullen, 99% or 100% of all Optimus since 1983/4 is him….just sayin
I agree! There’s still a chance we might get some Cullen down the stretch because Orion Pax and Optimus are basically 2 different characters, so once he’s reformatted he might sound more in line with Cullen
and people hating on the movie because they said is too kid friendly and it needs to be like the cybertron games no golden age just the war like bro the golden age is a major part of cybertron .... sorry i'm just annoyed about the hate this movie is already getting
