Thought I'd try out a different airline from Vancouver to New York. Cathay Pacific operate this flight daily from Hong Kong to Vancouver which continues to New York JFK. Lucky for me they also sell tickets just for the YVR to JFK sector.
Another good thing about this flight is its reasonably quiet. I had a row to myself and in general there was plenty of space in the cabin. Unfortunately departure was in the dark but still some good sounds and sights of the departure. Enroute we were greeted with a sunrise before beginning a descent into rainy, overcast New York.

Woah! Paul Lucas has done this flight before! He did the whole trip from Hong Kong to JFK via Vancouver! He was on B-KQA

Thanks. I was wondering what your Departure time was. When I first started watching the video, I didn't know if your were leaving late at night, or just before dawn. If you could edit in your departure time, when it's dark outside, that would help. (I watch on Roku through the RUclips channel on the big screen. Through that Roku channel, the way RUclips has it set up, I cannot read the Video comments you posted, only the title...)
